I agree that the CFL officiating is a joke, but this was handled fairly well. The hit was a tad late, but did get totally blown out of proportion. Keep in mind a fine for CFL guys making 80 grand a year is a serious punishment. That said had the hit been on a more established QB the league would have at least tried to suspend him.
a thousand dollar fine is nothing when you have coaches getting donations to pay for half of it, and when you make around 3-4K just by playing in that game

ok i agree that , that was an unnessisary late hit on the linebacker but quarter backs are pussys these days if some one touches there pad with there pinky there down and out for the season again unessiary hit but just put the ball up some yards and keep on playing and refs dont have good eyes these day i had a game yesterday a guy on the other team horse collered one of our players and no call and some guy cut tackled one of our guys on kick return

Contrary to your opinion, the o-line is good - afterall, they held up Barencheater long enough for Kevin Glenn to toss the 2 point convert and then Barencheater took 2-3 steps into Glenn after the completion.

i really think that adding this rule which should have been added a LONG time ago, and the only reason it is a rule is for two things
First off, The god damned CFLPA appealing suspensions, which is absolute bullshit, anyone can do anything and wont get suspended
the second reason is because they didnt want a bloodbath in Commonwealth stadium so they just added this rule to scare them to play fair
