Hi, I just finished modeling a highpoly model in mudbox 2012 and I want to texture it using photoshop but I accidently pressed create UVs And now when I unwrap my model (an alien that has almost the same shape has a human body) It shows squares except of the basic UVs, Is there a way I can fix this? because I can't texture my model using these UVs because they are not well placed. Is there a way to fix this because I don't want to start my model over! Thank you so much for your time!
Has anyone noticed how american videotutorial guys always use "GO AHEAD" phrase? Just for fun I've counted exactly 20 go aheads in this 9 min video. It means that he "actually can just go ahead" every 30 seconds of speaking, not even leaving the chair he is sitting in. Where does he go?
@Hazzerz lol ill defend autodesk by saying this, mudbox is more user friendly for me at least beacuse im so used to the maya controls, its basically zbrush with maya controls is what it is, n including these features make my work easier :D/
Mudbox is much faster to get "into" - but Zbrush has more features. But if you put two images next to each other, there is no way to tell which is done in zbrush or in mudbox. I'd say mudbox assumes you will use other applications (like photoshop and some modelling application like 3ds max) with it.
Agree, I have been waiting to pain on objects "photoshop style" within max and it has been driving me nuts. They should totally bring Mudbox into max.
make a painting tutorial about ZBrush @Autodesk

@antiusninja Ahead in practice. Ahead in thought process. It is the same as proceed.

Zbrush dont support Multi layered texture.
If all work do with Zapplink in the end you have one texture layer which very hard to correct if it needed.
So I think that Zbrush is not easy way for texturing

That export to PSD feature is amazing!!!! I also like being able to extract an ambient occlusion map.
Are those features exclusive to 2010 or are they available in Mudbox 2009?

mudbox, very nice sculpting tool, very easy to jump in and instantly work with.
Not as feature-packed as zbrush though
