can anyone tell me why paul bettanys character dosent have a name in this movie? the same thing happened with edward nortons character in fight club. There characters just never have a name :S
The face he makes when he's in the car with that nails-on-a-chalkboard scream ..that haunts me. I'm rarely scared by films, much less gangster movies, but holy crap that has to be one of the most chilling things I've ever seen! He's such an amazing actor!
Where the fk can i procure a copy ov this awesome track? I own the film "Gangster no. 1" but can't find it's soundtrack to buy to save me life! Help me, mates, please. Thanx for this killer channel.
@carloscisneros87 I can't actually find a link to download the track as an MP3, torrent or zip file. If you are willing to post your email address on my channel comments page, I will email you the track as an mp3 file. I will of course delete your email address from view the second I have sent the track!
jamie foreman is the son of ex gangster freddie foreman!!! good to see that he didnt follow in his old mans footsteps and concentrated on acting!!! good actor!!!
The Tulu Babies were a band from Cleveland. This was a local hit in ' 65. Dane Rossi on lead vocals. Written by Doug McCuthcheon who also played keyboards & harp.
Band later became the Baskerville Hounds and had another regional hit with "Space Rock"
Im not a fan of Gangster movies, but I love the 60's chic, and this looks well cool. Another excellent piece of work from yourself, and another film I'm going to watch now courtesy of You Tube.
As I mentioned in a previous comment, there are some uncomfortable scenes with characters being portrayed as being comfortable with violence. Probably because of the solid direction and the actors are convincing you it is happening on the screen.
However, "...central section is stylistically superb, but the film is fatally flawed by the fact that both boss David Thewlis and his moll (Saffron Burrows) are badly aged for the final section." (Radio Times review)
Movie is much better than everybody says and Bettany spot on in the tradition of Psycho Brit-Gangsters. Editing marvelous. Love the effects you incorporated, like when the glass breaks, and the rhythm of the vid is just perfect.. Done with real style! Kudos buddy.
The film can be uncomfortable in parts and Critics disliked the excessive violence present throughout the movie but praised the performances and style.

I see the actor Jamie Foreman who played Lennie was in this weeks Law and Order UK as the PC on misconduct charges, seriously scary dude
Tifflet 2 years ago 2
@Tifflet I remember reading that the actor who played Lennie is really the son of some famous London 50's-60's era gangster.

A grossly under-rated movie. I thought Jamie Foreman was great as Lenny Taylor.

Your editing is as excellent as ever! That black Aston Martin must be either DB3 or DB5.

Thanks Alex for your encouraging comment.
Internet Movie Car Data Base (IMCDB) suggests it's a 1967 Aston Martin DB6.
