I currently have ez drummer with lots of expansions and im thinking about bying this one. My Questions:
>Does it really sound better than the ezdrummer? Cause to me it sounds worse.
I mean they've added lots of effects lik eq s compressors etc. , but that's not how i like to get a good sound! I want the original samples to be good.
>Can you load an ezdrummer kit in superior drummer and use it like before?
>Is it worth buying if i don't need the effects and i don't use the ready grooves library?
@A7Xblood it's all how you program it, yes you can program double bass... dont believe me? just go type in Sd2 and watch as some drum/guitar nerd plays bleed with some programmed drums.
I use Guitar Pro 5 to write/tab all of our music. Can you import midi drum files into Superior Drummer??? I use reason currently becuase you can on reason but I am really considering switching over to superior drummer. seems awesome!
@ArchaicEclipse yeah you can all you have to do is single out the drum track in guitar pro to to file -> export midi and save that somewhere you can find it... .then once you open up your recording program say reaper for instance just click insert midi file and load your already done drum track. to play around with.

Depending on what you use for the hits it might be a little random, but you can go into the piano roll and fix it, but usually it's fine i have yet to run into a problem
I have a quick question as well. I recently bought superior drummer as well as ezplayer pro. My and my bandmate are used to using reason for drums and arent really liking the whole drag and drop thing. How do you go about using the midi keyboard to make drum beats? Do you make it layer by layer ( ie first record the snare, then bass drums, ect)? Can you do this in the standalone version with toontrack solo? Sorry for the huge amount of questions!
well, it's entirely up to you. From my own experience, it might be hard to record every little beat and fill with a MIDI keyboard. It does of course depend a lot of what kind of music you are playing. You can record everything with your keyboard, but a good starting point is to create simple beats with it and then use your mouse and DAW to refine the arrangement and add/delete notes. You can not do this with Toontrack Solo.
Hi, i install the superior drummer 2.21 and the first DVD from the metal foundry addon.
I can use the drumkit from the metal foundery, but i cant see the Metal foundery libraries or even see the superior libraries entry in my superior drummer...i only see my old grooves from the ez player .
why?
Have i to install the full 35 gb to see the superior libraries from the metal foundery.
@Toontrack what if i wanted to manually program it with FL Studios 5 on the step sequencer or piano roll without a Keyboard, or electric drums? could I do that?
Very impressive, if a little daunting lol I'd like to get this program. Is it possible/how easy is it to create entirely new beats using only mouse and keyboard (not a midi keyboard)? Thanks.
if you are referring to presets you have created yourself, they are simply saved whereever you saved them. The file format is called .s20 so you can search your computer to be able to find the presets.
Best program ever made !

Will these sounds be the same if i put it on a really crapy drum set? Or does
the sound quality also change when u have a better drum set? Because im gonna
get Fame DD-8000. Im gonna get superior drummer 2.2.1 and Metal foundry. So
there is 30 preset drum kits but then i can tweak them or create my own? Also how do i set up Superior drummer onto my drum kit?

can you use the ezdrummer midi files with this?? or the kits??

how does EZ drummer compare to this software?
when new version comes it, the old one sucks?
i saw some fills and midi loops in ez drummer, this program is for tweaking the sounds, i guess.

Sure thing! You can use the MIDI editor in your DAW (FL in your case) and manually insert the notes with simple mouse clicks.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to save these presets and send them to friends who also have superior 2.0.
Anyone know what the destination folder is for saving presets? I tried searching and couldn't find anything.
Any help would be great. Thanks!!
Nice video by the way. More please!
