3. WVU threw for close to 500 yards on LSU in their first year of running the Air Raid offense. OSU has been running an almost identical offense for several years and has better athletes across the board.
4. OSU's defense is underrated. The Big 12 is all about explosive offenses. Their offenses dwarf the SEC's offenses. Baylor, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Texas and Oklahoma were all capable of putting up tons of points. Don't get me wrong, I don't think their defense is great, but it is better than the numbers say.

Had UT not put too many men on the field, the game would have been over... The LSU ball was snapped wildly and UT would have won. Did you not feel UT was the better team despite the loss? We do to.. The diff is that we didn't commit a penalty. A terrible call was ultimately the deciding factor in our game. LSU is NOT better. Period.

@MrDownwitthesouth I personally don't think LSU is better than Bama. We shot ourselves in the foot too many times...a few mistakes along with a questionable call were too much to overcome...but LSU didn't whoop us...hell, they were 3 for 11 on third downs and didn't move the ball at all...they got the bounces that counted and I give them credit, but to say they're better is a fallacy.

@bill4volz Think about this for a second. In your game last year, did you feel that LSU was the better team at the end of regulation **the first time**? Had UT not put too many men on the field, the game would have been over... The LSU ball was snapped wildly and UT would have won. Did you not feel UT was the better team despite the loss? We do to.. The diff is that we didn't commit a penalty. A terrible call was ultimately the deciding factor in our game. LSU is NOT better. Period.

@nosmirc73 We had no business even competing with them to be honest, but on that day we found a way to do it and played well enough to win minus that penalty. The difference in was our own mistake, just as it was the difference in your game. 4 missed field goals was the difference.

I was willing to sacrifice the missed field goals.. I agree ANY ONE of those would have won the game in regulation. Another reason why I can't buy into them being "better." LSU has played better teams than you guys Oregon (Pac champ) West Va (Big East champ) and UGA (SEC East Champ)...Won the confrence, won the head to head in Alabama...Sorry man, even if you guys were to get a shot at them and win, i'll still them as NC becuase then it's 1-1 with them winning the leauge and a better shedule...They atleast won the AP last night,

They capitalized on Bama's few mistakes. The game was Bama's to lose. Bama led in almost every stat and was in control of the game, they just ended up making one to many mistakes. If LSU and Bama played again, it's very probably that there will be a different outcome. Just my two cents. No need to get upset about it.
