I can't comment on the song. It's just not my thing so, my opinion on that would just be too biased.

The mix seems a bit muddy to me. It's in mono. Yup it is. Almost everything is panned dead center. Play with the panning a bit and the song will open up. Nothing wrong with having an instrument or voice panned hard right or left.

In general it's a bit too compressed for my taste. Particularly the main vox. Some distortion going on. Probably either a comp plug or analog emulator.
