At the beggining of the trailer you can see snake's face with some dirt on and then it dissappears.Thats why i think its all a plan to fake his death. As for playing with Big Boss again, i dont think so. I mean if this is going to be the las mgs it has to end with solid.

That's not an eyepatch. It's a sort of scouter-like device called the Solid Eye. It allows you to zoom in on various parts of the battlefield.

Those theories about Big Boss being the main character and Solid Snake being the guy you see at the end,frankly, are quite intriguing.

But i have a theory of my own.

Did you see him removing the mask at any point?

Maybe the mask works just like his camo. It temporarily morphs into something else. But then again, that's my theory.

wow, is all i can say. It's good to see some proper gameplay, it looks like they'll be plenty of new features to play around with, i'm hoping as well they'll be ragdoll physics as well, i'm sick of the pre-rendered deaths om MGS..a young snake as well? who knows, it could be another mask trick that Hideo used so well in the MGS3 trailers, maybe young snake is a trick..or maybe even the 'old' snake was. I'm sure Hideo will have a good explanation either way!

I only got sick of the pre-rendered deaths on all the previous MGS games because they only fell on their backs or stomachs, and no matter which side they fell on, their arms and legs were always spaced the same way, I could understand that for MGS2 on the PS2 since it was the first MGS on the PS2..but Once MGS3 came out..I was expecting ragdoll..

it could be one of many possibilities, I think either they fix snakes flaws in his genes or they clone him a younger version of himself. (hopefully do something like Liquid did to Ocelot and make THE SOLID SNAKE in the clone body) But I beleive whatever the possibility, Big Boss is dead, period. I dont see them bringing him back to life somehow in an old body that is going to die. Waste of resources if you ask me. lol.

From what I've heard this is Solid Snake who has aged dramatically due the flawes in the cloning project Les Enfants Terrib and the rumor is that they clone a new "Snake" who replaces him at some point.
