  • I never noticed this in the Darkman films, but it's been a while, did Darkman keep himself bandaged up beneath his face masks? If so, how did he open up the masks to talk?

If this was a fanfilm only thing because it was cheap to do so, that's understandable.

  • @FaxModem1 yeah he had some bandages on in part 1.

  • it has potential ya just need to find a person who can do make up man still love your other stuff though keep at it man

  • Alice In Chains!

  • It was great! But Darkman sounds to much like batman.

  • @RobinsTaste you take that up with liam neeson

  • @RobinsTaste It's an actual movie. Originally the movie was supposed to be for The Shadow but they couldn't get the rights.

  • @ThatJeffreyManus I know! I got that movie! : ) However, I don't remember his voice to be that dark. Raspy and painful, yes, but not dark. Could be wrong though. The Shadow! Well, hope the result would be better then the actual movie. Seem horrible.

  • Liam Neeson would be proud.

  • Well, that was ONE short movie I liked!

  • I wonder if you plan on doing a Booster Gold Film?

  • @TheIrishjim if you got money for me to make one, sure.

  • Oh my god, man, this is AMAZING. I absolutely love Darkman and everything about him, and I am so glad that even today there are people who appreciate him. I also caught a glimpse of your Daredevil and Punisher fan films, which look INCREDIBLE as well. You are very talented at working with movies!!! I've been working on a script for a comic fan film that I'm hoping to have finished in the summer, and I would be honored if someone with your talent, vision and dedication worked on it. Keep it up!

  • @SpinalTree if you have a budget, i will gladly take a look at it.

  • That was simply amazing.

    Your talent shines.

  • Take the f'n elephant, I'm Liam Neeson burned up, damn it!!!!!! I got skills.

  • ok Darkman does what??

  • @thelunarghost google him

  • I've been looking eberywhere for a good coat to use for a Darkman costume. The one you have in the movie is awesome. Where did you get it?

  • @RupertMass salvation army.

  • this was so cool, i can imagine a modern version of darkman like the opening of it being darkman blending into a crowd of criminals and eventually takes them out revealing who he really is (im my head it seems a lot cooler)

  • Impressive work. Acting was good, directing was top-notch, and costumes were superb. I was worried that Darkman's coat wouldn't be there, but you nailed it. Thank you, blinky500 for this homage to such a great and sadly underrated character.

  • Awe man, no viewage on the iPhone? :\

  • @outstandingpajamas Or the iPad - Blame Apple - it's their issue...

  • @PacoPapo How can it be an Apple issue? I can view most things on Youtube. I think it's the actual owner of the channel. They can make their videos viewable on mobile devices or not. Maybe he made it unable to view by mistake?

  • I remember senting you a comment about DarkMan and making a video. It looks like some one payed up.

  • I'm surprised this hasen't got more views, it's pretty cool

  • @JagdActor1 thanks. im a bit surprised too, but thats the breaks.

  • I think that jerk wet his pants once Darkman revealed himself.

  • Heard of darkman but never watched it... Might after this

  • Very well done! Darkman is one of my favorite superheros (first being Ghost Rider.) I hope you direct a reboot, I'll be first in line to see it! :)

  • awesome dude, but you gotta do moar batman

  • Oh, Roberto, you're adorable here! It's great to see this. I always was a great DARKMAN fan. After the fiasco of the second film, this completely makes up for it.

  • @escottish140 Thanks! Glad you liked it. It was pretty fun to shoot!

  • @PacoPapo: Looks like it. I admit I busted out laughing at your scream.

  • @escottish140 LOL! Cool!

  • Oh, Hell yes. Darkman remains one of my favorite superhero films ever made. It always killed me that the character never quite took off. Aside from an enjoyable crossover with Army of Darkness he never even made the transition to the comic book page. A new film today would be great, especially since in today's economic climate, a superhero who is essentially homeless would carry a certain relevance.

  • @JoshuatheAnarchist yeah theres so much you can do with him in this day and age. hopefully sam sees this and calls me.

  • How about a Batman fan-film with Hush?

  • @NewSuperAvenger give me money and ill make it.

  • I thought everyone had forgotten that classic. Good to see that it still lurks in the hearts of filmmakers like you. This has made my day.

  • Great one, Darkman the only Raimi movie i actually like.

  • @myasshole69 you don't like the evil dead series?

  • @hostelowner No to be honest, i like Bruce i think he is great in everything he does.

But i dont like evil dead and i hate Raimi Spiderman movies.

I liked Hercules and the First 3 seasons of Xena, before the lesbian things and almost became a soft porn.

  • awesome........ simple genius.....

  • Wonderful good sir it's about time someone did a darkman film and I'm glad to say your's was brilliant

  • Smokin Aces!!!!!!

  • Awesome! Great job on it. :D

  • As always, good work!!

  • Have you ever thought to do a Green Arrow film?

  • @AlaskaTalking unless someone funds it, no

  • @blinky500 I loved the practical effects in this one. Outstanding job, sir.

  • That was cool, I wonder if you'll do something with G.I. Joe someday.

  • @Dawnelldo2 unless someone funds it, probably not. gi joe is out of my price range.

  • @blinky500 that's disappointing, but understandable and probably for the best because your version of it would have made me hate the movie version even more.

  • @Dawnelldo2 lol. thanks

  • @blinky500 No prob and i'm looking forward to your future films.

  • oh man this was hawt, Mr. Notarile! this deserves the serial treatment (like what you did with Punisher) for sure! a question: even tho Durant was killed in main storyline, since this is fanmade, if you make another will he make an appearance or will you be working with completely different characters? keep up the awesomeness!!!

  • @triplestar100 no durant is dead. if anything, ill bring back eddie black.

  • How does the mask work?!

  • @mwong666 ask sam raimi.

  • more please!

  • that was a great fan film of Darkman awesome job :)

  • That was great Chris! Not only would I love a Darkman remake/sequel but you as director would be fantastic! My fav part I think was him practicing the new voice at the end. Such a great touch and a reminder of the older movies.

  • Nice Job Chris. I loved the original Dark Man. The others were shit. Has Rami got the rights to do The Shadow finally?

  • @CaptKilljoy76 i wouldnt know.

  • @CaptKilljoy76 I actually looked into the Shadow, and the answer is no. It's still in creative limbo

  • There a big lack of Darkman fan films, if any at all. Thank you for this awesome tribute.

  • @595moore to my knowledge there are 2 others.

  • Very cool stuff!! Quick Question, Do you reuse the same cast for most of your films? How do your casting calls go? Thanks.

  • @gvert1213 like many directors, i recycle my actors. i dont hold a lot of casting calls, i cast individually.

  • There's no playback for iPhones or mobile devices, can you please change this quickly? I wanna watch this!

  • @ThekidRICHIEV i wont let me since i used a NIN song.

  • It's awesome you put Alice in Chain's What The Hell Have I in the beginning. :-)

  • Darkman was one of my all time favorites. Thanks for the revisit.

  • Simply awesome. Chris, you're a genius.

  • You know it's going to be a good film when the first words are "BECAUSE HE'S AN ASSHOLE!!!!!!!".

  • This was sweet, I love the first "Darkman" movie, and this just was a loving tribute to such an awesome movie. Great Job.

  • Great Job guys, truly amazing. Only one complaint...the bandages on his head were a little too clean. But besides that you nailed it. once again great job and keep them coming.

  • @DoctorLech i figure after a couple of years of doing this, he'd get cleaner bandages.

  • @blinky500 Good point lol didnt think of that

  • this was fantastic! are you going to revisit Darkman in the future?

  • @Deadpoolzilla id like for sam to hire me to do that.

  • yo great video i remember watching all 3 darkman movies hes a awesome vigilante character

  • The horror films' first superhero continuing his never ending war against (not innocent virgins like Freddie, Jason and Micheal would often stalk) the mobsters who destroyed his life and face. Love the independent film making I keep seeing, dealing with superhero themes.

  • 3:26-3:48

    LoL

  • One thing that always threw me off about the original was Danny Elfman's whimsical score. I think the lack of it here can help me appreciate this fan film even more. For being shot in two hours, this is really well done.

Gotta ask, the "You wanna see something scary?" line, was that meant to be a nod towards the hitchhiker segment of the Twilight Zone movie?

  • @marvhartigan yes

  • @blinky500 Dude that was awesome! The score was great and the acting was spot-on! Where did you get that bad-ass trenchcoat from 'cause I want one.

  • Great work! I even love your soundtrack from The Last Action Hero! Is this supposed to be in the 90's or present day?

  • @ps95 present day. i chose that song because it was the only song about masks that didn't sound 80's or lame.

  • Love this!

  • enjoyed the sam raimi feel to it with the comedy lol one thing that cated my eye was when he put on the mask at the end he had the earrings in already, now i understand who cares right but ima go ahead and say its a mask with a built in earring display lol but you did great Chris, you are the insperation for me to be a filmmaker.

  • @RebornFanFilms if anyone complains, my answer is darkman pierced the ears of the mask ahead of time. long story short- he comes prepared.

  • Blinky, you're a god damn genius. You never cease to amaze.

Once agan, brilliant job! And as always, song choices are great!!!

  • this is smart and original i love the fact how he wares the faces of his victoms

  • I liked it. Made me want to watch the original film again.

  • Great job as always Chris!

  • Take the fucking elephant!!!..lol..this is just awesome man!!

  • A massive, belated, resounding FUCK YES when I found this in my subscriptions box.

  • i think i'm in love you Blinky (chris) i just can't hate anything that you do :P

  • @MrNoknownidentity i love you too lol
