  • kurt's voice in this song reminds me of heaven<3

  • dont watch a glee mv if you dislike it you retards. i dont watch glee nor do i particularly enjoy their music, but this is a good cover nonetheless

  • haha they somehow ruin everything.

  • Really??? They fucking covered this? Is there no depths of vileness they won't sink to? -_-

  • @SFforlife could YOU sing it any better?

  • @sosha20 Probably not, but my problem lies with the act that they "covered" this classic in the first place, not the way they sang it. Nor was I comparing myself to their singing. I was just disgusted they (the show) "covered" this beautiful song. Classic songs ruined by this shitty pop crap nowadays...ah at least they had good taste in which they chose.. -_-

  • @walrus563 @teammagique Shut up and enjoy the song. Nobody cares about your movie opinions.

  • I love Tina and all, and cherish every moment when she gets to sing, but I really wish this had been a Furt duet. :/

  • I didn't know this song when I watched the episode of glee 2 months ago but today I found myself singing it, and I'm like "How do I know this" and I found out it was from glee. I love it!

  • Honestly, it's been nearly ten years since i have cried, and it has been no easy feat to make me shed a tear. When i saw this episode, when i saw the tears flow from her eyes, when her message and her heart poured out. I was speechless, i began to think of everyone that i have lost. All my loved ones, my friends, family, my father, brothers and sisters...How my best friend died in my arms...how people have trusted me...how i have not lived up to what they expect of me...I imagine them, thank you

  • this episode make me cry ... the funerals and the moment when Sue hugs Becky :3

  • i wish darren sang at 0:27 :/

  • i like this song but the real movie of willy ownka is just SCARY..

  • @Beary667CP That's how the book was written. The old movie was completely different from the book and toned WAAYYYYY down, where the Tim Burton version was actually so accurate that the Oompa Loompa song lyrics were taken from the book and Willy Wonka was a little disturbed. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was my favorite book growing up and the old movie really pissed me off. Then my favorite director made it, and I saw it 23 times in theaters. Fuck all you Tim Burton haters :)

  • @TeamMagique i like tim burton/ and i never read the book.

  • @Beary667CP You should... The old movie has almost NOTHING from the book. The entire part where each kid is given an everlasting gobstopper was made just for the movie. Also, the geese with golden eggs was nowhere in the book. The glass elevator was a box not some futuristic capsule, Charlie never tried the fizzy lifting drink. The only part of the old movie that is more accurate is that Mike Teavee carries toy guns instead of being a super smart gamer.

  • @TeamMagique

Despite all of that. The old movie was simply a superior film in and of itself. The music, the actors, everything about the old movie felt genuine. Yes, the author said the film wasn't like the book and he didn't like it, but you think he'd like the new movie? Neither one was anything like what he wanted. He sold the rights to the book, if he wanted to make the perfect movie where everything followed the book, I doubt it would be as good as the movie that was actually made.

  • @Walrus563 The new movie follows the book almost identically to the core, so yes I do feel that Roald Dahll would have liked the newer movie. And I would like to ask what makes the Gene Wilder version "superior". Is it graphics? More accurate? Better music? The song lyrics used in the new version were identical to that of the songs in the book so it can't be that. The graphics are in no way superior. The newer one was spot on. So what makes the older one superior other than bias?

  • @TeamMagique

CGI in the new movie is annoying, the work put into the props and the art direction in the Gene Wilder movie were much better. The songs themselves were well-written and performed much better than in the Johnny Depp movie. Roald Dahl wouldn't have liked either version because it wouldn't be the way he would've done it. Again I stress that accuracy with the novel is not the main focus of the film. One other thing: Wilder was a better Wonka than Depp. (Not saying Depp is bad)

  • @Walrus563 You have no idea what kind of work goes into CGI, so how could you possibly know if the work put into the props was "better"? The book is a lot darker than the Gene Wilder version (which was depicted to be light hearted when Willy Wonka in the book was demented and twisted with little to no grasp of reality). This is why I don't get how Wilder could be better than Depp as Willy Wonka. You obviously have never read the book and are biased and your argument is invalid.

  • @TeamMagique @Walrus563 Does it matter? Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp played great parts as Willy Wonka. They're two different people. Johnny showed a more childish, demnted Willy Wonka while Gene Wilder was more of a grown adult with a great imagination that created great things in his wonderful factory. They shouldn't be compaired because of these things. Now shut up and listen to the song.

  • I love this song!!!

  • i wish only kurt sang it with harmonies in the background

  • Oh, the tears.

  • I personally loved Tina's part! The whole song is outstanding :)

  • @VongolaAQW223 you spelled wonka wrong...

  • @PoweredByFajitas Who cares everyone makes a mistake.

  • @VongolaAQW223 Then why are you both watching AND commenting? :P

  • @epicfacesmiley I'm not watching this crap

  • @VongolaAQW223 Then why are you even commenting again? :3

  • @VongolaAQW223 stfu. ill thumbs you down

  • @evinkays Who gives a shit you little bastard

  • @VongolaAQW223 ill thumbs down that one too since you like thumbs so much cunt

  • @evinkays Would you guys please just grow up so that the rest of us can enjoy the song? Thanks.

  • @VongolaAQW223 Would you guys please just grow up so that the rest of us can enjoy the song? Thanks.

  • classic song, glee did it well:)

  • listening to this song because my dutch granny died yesterday :'(

This song made pretty much everyone bawl their eyes out. But it is kinda supposed to make us feel better because a part of living is dying.

  • OMG I LOVE THIS SONG, WILLY WONKAS THE SHITTT

  • this song is so perfectly, depressing. God this episode made me bawl my eyes out. Glee why must you produce such intense emotions in me? Why?

  • This song is why I watch glee.

  • OMG I love Kurt <3

  • Cory and Chris have surprisingly amazing harmonization. I'd request more duets from them.

  • my sister is a soulless bastard for not crying at this episode, same goes for the people who disliked this .

  • I can barely see what I'm typing because I'm crying so much. This is so beautiful<3

  • Comment removed

  • this has to be Glee must beautiful and touching cover <3

  • They sang that so beautifully. The funeral scene was so sweet and sad & I love how Will read for Sue because she couldn't speak. <3

  • Anytime people ask me why I'm a fan of this show, I point to this episode.

    ART AT ITS PUREST FORM!!!

  • @argyjr Haters Gonna Hate.

After all your not the one on a successful t.v show are you?

  • @westly2861 I'm not a "hater" and your correct; I'm not on a successful TV show. However, I do work in the music industry behind the scenes. Glee is nothing more than a tool used by TV & record moguls to sell prefabricated garbage "pop" music to a demographic w/ A LOT of disposable cash; i.e. girls ages 8-18. I'd LOVE to hear the cast do these songs live w/o the help of any voice-altering machines. You're buying into this crap along w/ all the rest of the sheep. BAAAAAAA! BAAAAAA!

  • @argyjrJjust read your comment and can i say...I SAW Glee live in concert - not the movie - LIVE - and yes most of them are just actors but Lea, Amber, Darren, Chris, Mark and Matthew were amazing live. The others are just actors or dancers but they aren't completely tone deaf. Sorry to gang up on you I just wanted to say that they don't need voice-altering machines. Also....I don't know what you've said in previous comments or anything but if you don't like Glee, why go on a Glee video?

  • @argyjr I don't consider myself as a sheep, most of my friends hated glee when i first watched it, and i still liked it. Glee is exactly the same as any other TV show. Three of my close friends are extremely talented in music and they would know if something is autotuned or not. Considering that the glee cast sing their songs live, and they are still liked, shows that they are naturally talented in music. Glee is not all about overrated 'pop' songs that are on the radio, they sing a good variety

  • @argyjr of songs from different artists and styles as well as the old songs that are amazing but because they're not sung by modern artists they are dismissed. I would never have listened to half of the songs i now love if glee hadn't sung them.

  • @argyjr how old are you?

  • @argyjr i used to like the show... then they touched the beatles .... stupid glee covers !

  • As i child i had to mature quickly. this song helps me remember im still young.

  • could Colfer BE any more wonderful? his voice is just so beautiful! damn it, i wish he'd sing this as a solo!

  • >< this song is wrong sorry glee fans but i miss the original this version doesn't compare

  • what does Tina say before the song? I can't remember it and I can't find it...

  • @girliecharm97 its

    Close your eyes

    Make a wish

    Count to three

i think its in that order idk

  • @XoXfoxygaga

    I think that's it, thanks!

  • @girliecharm97 welcome!

  • my show choir may be doing this song- but as an upbeat dance number. a whole new take on the song. think it could work?

  • Comment removed

  • people like this give me a reason to never sing

  • it sounds so good i think im goin to cry

  • Two friends and I watched this episode last night.

I normally don't cry in shows, but I lost it at around 1:08 of this song </3

  • This song has Steve jobs written all over it.

Here's to him. May he rest in peace.

  • chriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis colferrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr<333333333

  • This song is off the 1971 Charlie + the Chocolate factory + i loved it on that but tbh ever since ive watched glee most of the orginal songs are nowhere near as good as the glee ones, I hate the fact that people come on the videos just to hate - grow up, go away + get a life!

  • Is it just me, or does Kurt having a solo in a group number instantly grant Tina permission to do the same?

  • anything and everything kurt sings captivates me.

  • This is so melodic, it almost sounds like a Christmas song

  • i am really pleased with this song and its even better because it wasnt rachelified

  • I can't listen to this song without crying anymore... the episode was so sad, and the song is so beautiful!

  • i cried during this episode D:

  • i didnt realise this song cud be so sad! :(

  • I usually would not be satisfied with a cover of this, because this was like my childhood. But Oh my god, I can't stop lisentning!!!!!!!

  • CHRIS <3

  • Why is Kurt so freaking talented?

  • INSTANT chills. love love love love LOVE.

  • this song always makes me cry now because i think of the funeral

  • They made a happy song into something touching and totally tear worthy. I'm bawling right now!

  • I sobbed constantly while watching this video. I honestly don't see how Glee made this "pop" anyway. They did this song soooo much justice. It's beautiful.

  • 0:01

  • @DramaMajor713 are you deaf? This is beautiful and if this isn't emotion for you, then you must have a heart of PURE stone. In other words, it's PURE YES.

  • @DramaMajor713

GLEE IS THE BEST AND IF YOUR ONE OFF THE FEW PEOPLE THAT DON'T HAVE ANY MUSICAL SPIRIT THEN I HAVE SOME ADVICE THAT IS SO SIMPLE:

DON'T CLICK ON THE VIDEO IN THE FIRST PLACE

SEE I TOLD YOU IT WAS SIMPLE

  • @tamaralaryea179 Goodness me. I'm "one off" the people with no, er.. "musical spirit," am I? No.. I don't believe so. I'm just someone who enjoys hearing the original version of a song and not the pop music version. Don't get me wrong, when I was a kid, I lived on pop music, but now.. I'd prefer not to see the songs I love turned into autotuned pop music. And I didn't click on this, I was linked to it by a trolling friend of mine.

And if you want to sound intelligent, lay off the caps.

  • @DramaMajor713 Please stop being so mean-spirited. Obviously you can't appreciate what the creators of Glee are trying to do - which is to pay homage to these great songs and to show people all kinds of different songs that may not have been inclined to hear because its in a certain genre or from a different generation. Obviously you don't get that so don't try to bring people down to your cynicism. Just let the viewers watching this be happy.

  • @DramaMajor713 please take it in mind how glee is not trying to make the songs better or worse, there are just covering them. in some way i agree, but not to that extent. Chris and Jenna, especially, do this song justice and i really enjoy listening to both. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and you shouldn't get ridiculed for yours, just try not to make a fuss about it, and don't diss glee, others, like me, like it. :)

  • this was so sad, but so beautiful

  • Original is way better than this

  • This is a really good song with a sad episode i cried and sue cried also it was very touching

  • LOVE thIS

  • I cried and started to sing this song at the same time. i felt so sad. this was a very touching episode

  • This song is amazing love it

  • 53 people can't imagine (they need to watch spongebob!)

  • it was sooooooo beautiful... I love how kurt and tina in this

  • @Reisende193 This is way better than maroon 5

  • I cried so hard in this episode...I makes me love my sister even more.

  • I feel like a brand new person after hearing this song. And yes, I balled when I saw the episode... sister(s) I love you <3 can't we make up?

  • oo chills

  • My best friend does not know this song!! I love this song! <3 :-] :-)

  • <3

  • yeah boii x

  • i swear this song was made for kurt <3

  • I heard the intro. And then Kurt's voice. And I knew it would be beautiful. That's the end of it. <3

  • Finally Tina gets to sing something.

  • @MsDithyrambic she sings abit of born this way

  • this song made me cry because my aunt died around 45 and she had severe autism, she was only supposed to live to be 15 similar to jean. My mom cried too because she couldn't give the eulogy by herself just like sue. God bless you Tita.

  • Okay, to be honest, I really like Rachel's voice and she's amazing in solos, but the other Glee members have that potential, too. I just think that they should even out solos between each member and not just Rachel. But Rachel is still fab. (Y)

  • i miss glee sooo much <3

  • I cried when they sang this. Its just beautiful and amazing. One of my favourites <3

  • I <3 Kevin McHale/ Artie! ")

  • just curious, but did the person who played jean die in real life? it was a really convincing funeral. i cried :'(
