Looks like Chuck Vogelpohl tearing his cruciate ligament. And to me it looks like theres a heap load more on there than 325kg? Surely Chuck wouldn't even open at 325 it's gotta be a bit light for him?
great spotters... and for people commenting on stance being too wide, its an equipped squat. that's not a singlet he's wearing, its a squat suit. Equipped technique is VERY different from raw technique.
This shit should not even be performed without a squat safety rack.Saw so many fucking accidents of people almost breaking their back neck and some almost got decapitated.Put a fucking steel frame to hold the barbell just in case something happens.Relying on people to catch your 200kg 300kg 400kg weight is stupid and sick.
@Wiegieboard It is a point in safety?Or what you are so pro you can squat so low, that the barbell touches the floor?Shit can happen people can pass out,a muscle or bone can mess up.How does a steel frame 40-45cm from the floor to catch the weight( just in case), affect the squat? For instance I'm short ,about 168cm and even in my deepest squat the barbell doesn't ever touch the safety frame in the squat rack.So i ask again why not have steel catching the weight just in case instead of 2 guys?
Wow, these comments are ridiculous. The powerlifting squat, which this guy is doing, requires wide spread legs. That's how people who squat 1,000 pounds do it. It allows you to move the focus from your quads to your hips, hamstrings, and glutes. If you can't squat more than 600 lbs, you shouldn't criticize form, it just shows how ignorant you are.
All u need to stfu all of u are wrong. Go to muscle and fitness or bodybuilding. Com they teach retards like u how to lift. i Made a vid and put it on BB.
His legs are way to far apart. It's good to have them spread pretty far when you bench but you're barely suppose to go farther than shoulder-width apart. It's all about form
u totally wrong....there is different form when u squatt...the way he did it is mostly used when u put rly heavy weights...but if ur not going for that much and just want to do 6reps-12reps u would put ur feet more closer
Maybe that's what caused his knee to gave out so easily.
I competed at the 1999 Eastern Canadian Powerlifting Championships (IPF sanctioned) in Charlottetown, Canada, and one lifter suffered a knee injury as a result of a wide Squat stance.
When doing Squats, the knees should never be wider than perpendicular to the lifter's shoulders.
@drmoogala To wide by textbook standards, powerlifters for right or wrong often throw out the textbook.
This one however I personally agree too, I alternate my stances between textbook & wide (sumo stance) which can make better use of the glutes & hamstrings.
i have a tornacl and con only squat 250 for now un till like 3 years after surgery lol...but i cant wait...i clean and my knee gives out....id dont rreally hurt me but it is scary as hell with wiehgt on my back of cleaning and have it come down on me!!
Hey can someone tell me, why don't they just use power racks instead of spotters for competitions? Can they not support weights that are this heavy or something?
im not a big fan of those racks, which dont have a cage or pins or anything. First of all the pins can help out with how deep to go, and second of all, if you fail all you gotta do is let the bar touch down on the racks.
Give him a shot Tequila. He'll be alright
