  • so....this head hasn't any tubes right?

  • Nice guitar. I got my Jackson JS32R Dinky Floyd Rose the other day and I wish I had an amp like that to jam on!

  • God damn I want this amp so bad.

  • @ZmannR2 i'm looking to buy a new amp, not for gigging just for my room but as my room is basically an extended cupboard, i was just wondering how big this amp is in size as i can't afford to get a huge one unless i plan on sleeping standing up. some measurements would be really appreciated. also how much did one of these babys set ya back?? cheers dude nice vid very informative :)

  • Beautiful

  • my bad whitewash lol

  • i tihnk the songs whiplash XD

  • is this amp a solidstate?

  • Very awsome/huge amp for beginner! Hahahahahahahaahahahahahahha

  • what slipknot songs

  • Beginner?

  • Nice I have an esp ec-500 i love it so much!

  • I think the only thing I like out of this combo is the cab. The head has a lot of neat presets but lacks the tone. I own one, I feel like I shouldnt have wasted the money. Nice for a starter amp, but tube is the way to go.

  • Whitewash by the and only Buckethead!!!:D

  • uh.. this is the Spider IV 150HD...

  • @hellow504jr Wrong....it's the Spider III....I made this video in '08, the IV didn't even exist yet. Side note, everyone who knows about these will agree, the spider III is superior than the spider IV in case you're looking at buying one.

  • @ZmannR2 oh crap i was looking at spider 2 thats why it looked different.. ^_^ my mistake

  • @ZmannR2 Hey nice set up.! love the III's, question am i able to hook a spider III 120 watt amp to a cab like you've got or do i need to sell the amp and just get the head?

  • @fucia11 Its actually POSSIBLE to connect a combo to a cab, it just wouldnt sound as good or be as loud as a head. You would have to use the Pod style Line out to the cab.

    I reccomend buying the head.

  • @ZmannR2 lol not its not what are you retarded

  • @ZmannR2 hey im actually looking at buying one, im curious about what makes the spider 3 superior, ive tried this one and i loved it but i havent tried the spider 4 head, i know their differences like the loop fature and all that, just wanna know what makes u say this one is superior, thanks!!

  • @hellow504jr no is not its a apider 3 the IV wasnt around when this was posted.....

  • Line 6 Spider III hd 150+ spider cab 420

how much space occupy in cm as in the video?

  • got the same head, except i bought a marshall cabinet instead

  • i have a question im getting the hd 150 spider 4 amp soon is it hard to work all the presets and stuff, i love line 6!! also can you play some blues tones through it

  • buckethead?

  • Gotta love whitewash

  • ▋▋84.817 Tones POD XT LIVE line6 2.0 Pocket X3 STUDIO▋▋

    web --- > myworld.ebay.es/paradisses/

  • how much did you pay for this? With tax and all? just curious

  • @mauriceh01 They run new from about $600.00

  • What was the first preset again? I couldn't hear it.

  • @KissMeImPunk 3-11 a basic distortion.

  • nice, how long have you had it and does it start getting almost like distorted or unclean when you get it high enough? cuz im shopping aroung for a nice amp like this, but i want the highest quality and cleanest kind you can get

  • and also what model is the cab?

  • just wondering how many ohms are in the cabinet and the head??

  • @LiamUwild Well first of all the head, which is the amp, doesnt contain speakers therefore there are no ohms to measure. The cabinet can be connected in a 4 or 8 ohm configuration.

  • @ZmannR2 lol no dont do that. i did that and blew out my outputs and cost me 200$ to repair.

  • @LiamUwild I have spider II 150 wats and head have stereo outputs

150 watt, 75 per side 8 ohm. Line 6 cabinet SUCKS!!! But head connected to for example to H&K or Laboga Cabinet sounds very cool!

  • @LiamUwild mine sais 8 ohms in the right and the same with the left. also found a whitechapel setting on it when i got it. Great amp i would recommend it to anybody!

  • Are there v30´s in cabinet?

  • hi my friend is looking at getting this half stack off of ebay because it's hella cheaper than the spider 4 and basically the same thing with less features. Is it a good amp for hardcore (like Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, etc) and also would you recommend it over other half stacks out there? We're big fans of line 6 but they can make some cheap sounding stuff. and also would this be good for gigging? or just like a practice amp for jams...

  • Did you play Whitewash at 1:19 ???

    :D

  • idk if i wanna trade my old raven amp in and buy this, or trade it in and get the spider 4 half stack and have to pay alot more, any suggestions?

  • I did that too when I got my halfy...you have channels to program your own sound on there or just save whatever preset you like to it...I have the Djent tone on channel A,Nice clean on B(more ambient type of clean,Lead on C, and another(sharper clean)

all you have to do is set the channel volume to where you want on all your set channels...you can even name your own sound...

  • What were the settings for the first tone?

  • Tube head?

  • it was 600 for the cab and the head? ive been looking around for a cheep halfstack with good quality distortion, im real low on budget, and this is looking interesting lol

  • @crazyd305 You should take a look at the B-52 Ls100 Half Stack I own one and it is awesome for all styles, none of that amp modeling bs, basically its a Tri-channel solidstate 100 watt head and a 4x12 400 watt vented cab. the drive channel is somewhat weak but if you put a pedal in thru the front of the amp on the clean channel it will retain a lot of its warmth and will sound very much like a tube amp, the clean channel on this amp is very very tube like, check it out because it only costs $500

  • @78LilRedExpress440 actually i just got a free fender head and cab lol so im just gonna get a boss pedal for the distortion. but thanks :)

  • @crazyd305 nice deal, haha Im buying a Peavey 6505+ 112 combo tomorrow and they are even throwing in a free MXR Zakk Wylde overdrive pedal all for $550 caaant wait till tommorrow!!!

  • @78LilRedExpress440 the stack is waaaay better than the combo trust me ijts worth the money

  • @78LilRedExpress440

    Where are you getting that??

  • hey dude, congrats, that is amazing for a beginner :) enjoy the guitar and never let it go!

  • @racke1993bg

its a speaker box,so NO!!you need a way to give the speaker box sound so thats what the head does.when you buy a combo amp,its like the head and speaker is built together. When you buy a stack ,theyre separated.this is one of the crappiest stacks you can currently buy that there is.

    if you can afford this,then most definitely buy a "b u g e r a" tube amp :

1960 or 1990 or 333xl in a stack or combo style, for the starting model combo and under $900 for the stack to start with

  • House of the rising sun on that fourth tone!

  • what are presets??

  • @hardcorealonso36 pre configured settings in the amp.......

  • @ZmannR2 I have a question, can i use another kind of pedalboard with this amp? I´m looking at using a boss gt8 with this amp, thanks :D

  • @Joker5844 if you plan to toggle the presets on the line 6 spider, than no....... if its a multi- effects pedal board and you plan on using those effects, than yes....... if an expression pedal comes with the pedal board, that should be fine as well......

  • @racke1993bg your stupid haha lol

  • @racke1993bg OK, think about this for a second, can your car speakers play without a stereo? No. The cabinet is simply speakers in a box, nothing to drive them no electronics nothing! Speakers need a POWER SOURCE to put out sound. That's where the amp comes in. An amp can't play without speakers, a speaker can't play without an amp

  • Awsome review, really helpfull

  • Hey dude, I have a question. On my Spider IV if you change the amp model it gets super loud. Does it do this on this head? Im trading my combo and some cash for a Spider III stack.

  • @AaronXStrickland different amp models will have different gains and such but it shouldn't do that, on the saved presets you can adjust the gain level and save it again to make it the right level.

  • Hey sorry if you said the price in the video. I fast forwarded to the guitar playing and whatnot.

So yea, How much do you pick these up for?

  • @Armydude991 amp + cabinet = $650, FVB pedal = $100

  • @racke1993bg lol, I still find it funny that people ask this......the top piece is an AMP, the bottom is the SPEAKERS.....there is no speakers in the top

  • Not bad for a beginner. Your starting off with some equipment that personally I think your not good enough at guitar for yet. Like ESP and line 6 are ok but I think you should've started with like a (beginer) fender, ibanez, or something like that and a way smaller amp than a half cab. (my opinion please don't criticize)

  • @mickthomsonify Well, that may have been a good point about 3 years ago when I posted this, but guess who's not a beginner anymore and guess who doesn't have to go and buy a new guitar now that that he's better? See it all works out eventually =)

  • nice stuff for a beginner.

  • thx yeah i called musician friends and ordered the pedal for my spider 3 half stack

  • line 6 amps suck way to digital sound a fake sound for a cheap price with poor construction and quality even the spider valve sucks

  • wow... its true whem they say this amp barks,

sounds like a peice of shit.....digital shit

  • i never got a pedal for my spider 3 please tell me what its called and how much it was may not be able to get one now ;( that spider 4 is out

  • @JesseLeeKing I have the model name and price in the video at the 2:18 mark

  • the spider amp also has a noise gate built in

  • i own this amp as well it kick ass

  • how much did you pay for yours?

  • Comment removed

  • whats the difference between the spider 3 hd150 and the spider 4 hd150?

  • @XB0XFR34K Looks, more presets, and the "Manual" option.

  • @BlakEctoFer

    thanks bro

  • Thanks for the review, I have been considering this amp and cabinet for awhile and I've decided to buy it. Also don't let those people who go on about LTD vs. ESP guitars get to you. There's essentially no difference except the price tag. For anyone that doesn't believe that just look on the back of any LTD guitar headstock and read what it says, or read reviews on LTD's from the dozens of professionals that use LTD's live.

  • i wan to know if is more bether the ibanez or this line6 somebody can tolme that pleace?

  • Alright let me get this staright at the begenning he said hes a begginner, and from what i here he is pretty damn good i know spelling fell

  • Buckethead!!!!!

  • can this go louder than drums during a gig?

  • @XB0XFR34K Deffinately,man.

  • I took mine back after a couple days... It has too much static feedback and you can never get a good tone without it sounding horribly processed

  • damnnnn dude that is an awesome setup for a beginner all i had was a squier and the small 15 watt amp that came with it XD rock out man and stick with it

  • if you ever get tired of it you can always send it to me

  • Dude, its a pretty cool amp.. but they frekin blow out really easy if you play shows, or practice frequently when the volume.. mine and three of my friends has all blown.. its some bull!!

  • @jjac15 What do you mean when you say blow out like its awsome or it could break?

  • this solo reminds me of terminator.

  • how much did this cost youu :]

  • man you are a very lucky begginer.

i would kill for that equipment

  • I'd recommend this for any guitar player who gigs.

But in the studio its worth buying the line 6 valve amp.

Personally i'd buy the valve since its also good for gigs.

    AWESOME REVIEW!

  • hoy many cabinets can you conect to the HD150 ? if the answer is one whats the biggest line 6 cabinet? i mean whats the one that has more watts

  • the louder you turn the volume it starts sounding like a tube line 6 added the feature in their if you like loud stuff

  • @raven14873 line 6 tubes aren't really that great. i think their solid states actually better tonally. idk, i think line 6 adds too many "features" and things that affect tone, i like having a pure guitar sound without any of that mess and then tweaking it from there.

  • what is cabinet this , what W and version , name of it ?

  • Look in the video description. I put ESP LTD. Because that's what it is, and ESP LTD EC500. Get off your high horse, all the hardware in the guitar is identical to the ESP Eclipse.

  • @ZmannR2 It may have the same hardware but it is nowhere near the same guitar as an ESP Eclipse

  • Comment removed

  • is this the spider 3 or 4 version?

  • @EatMyStu 3

  • thanks to this review, i have decided to get this amp, as i am starting to do gigs with my band i need to upgrade from my line 6 spider II 75w so this should be a vast improvment. thanks

  • how many watts is the whole thingg?

  • 150

  • the cab ?

  • @ZmannR2 are you sure? thats a pretty big amp for 150

  • How long is the Delay last? Also should i buy this used for 350? is that a good buy?

  • i think it should be...but a new one costs around 650

  • my friend has the same exact guitar

  • ante prixti mila zwon

  • Thanks man, enjoyed the video . Its a pleasure to see an independent point of view. I'm just learning ( not as good as you ) but I hate the neighbours so I've got to get me one of those. It should give them something to moan about, at least then they can hear my bad playing!!!

  • no wait i mean whitewash sorry

  • yessir! I kinda messed it up in this video though but didn't wanna reshoot......but I can play it much better now

  • i'm a buckethead fan =D was u playing asylum of glass?

  • i dont understand cabinets lol do they just amplify your amp more (louder hehe)? can i stick my pod2.0 in a cabinet without having an amp?

  • I find it funny how many people don't understand this......think of a system in a car. The amp under your seat is the top part of the stack, its just and amp thats all no speakers.....the bottom part is the speaker cabinet...it prduces the sound.....got it?

you're used to seeing combo amps where an amp and speakers are all in one box

  • i found a used one for 375. should i snag it?

  • i think you can get them cheaper brand new

  • no you can't.....guys, read the description or at least watch the video.....this stack is $650 new

  • yes....and test every single button and knob before you buy it

  • how much watts?

  • 150W

  • in your opinion....

We play shows with this exact amp and it sounds great. never had any comments from other groups we played with except how good it sounded especially for what we paid for them.

Most complaints are from people who don't know how to dial in the settings, or simply don't know what they are talking about (noobs).

  • ive been playing for almost two years and i went to a guitar store today and one of the guys there showed me a spider lV are those any good? if not what should i get instead ( i want an amp that can get real loud and lasts a long time)

  • Fender? Marshall?

  • @shelbayy050

If your into blues, go for a Bugera V55

If your into Metal (exclusively) get a Bugera 6262

If your into Metal and other genres too, get the Bugera 333xl.

In my opinion the Bugera 333xl is the best amp for the money. It will last alot longer than the Spider, and it has tubes in it, something the spider doesnt. To be honest if you did buy the spider youd be regretting the purchase months later after getting sick of the digital crappyness. Just my opinion though.

  • @shelbayy050 it depends on how much money you are willing to spend. the line 6s are the best low priced amps. Marshalls are really good mid-priced amps. they can range from 300 to 2500. (only some heads are 2500). If you are willing to spend a lot, check out Mesa. they make probably the best all around amp.

  • i just bought a spider IV 150 half stack and i love it, for 700 bucks it's a great built amp with great tones. buy the xtra warranty with it though, 70 bucks xtra, covers it for 2 years

  • not my modified EC 500

    and you think it's crap.

    I don't.

And I"m all right with that.

  • Active pick ups

I know that it sounds crap with active pick ups. but there fore I never said that I've active pick ups in my guitar.

  • I have this half stack. It's good for beginners, not much else.

  • well lucky u =O

  • you're one badass dude.

  • if ur a "beginner" like u sed y buy such good gear?

  • Because I can

  • haha i love that ballad by buckethead

  • ya i heard the buckethead tune...whitewash i think it is.....i win!

  • Dude, that spider 3 is definitely not going to do your EC-500 any justice. You really should not have gotten that spider. At 650, you could have gotten an amazing combo tube amp

  • you should play at one in a store or something. the sound of camera is just crappy. I've played the combo spider 3 150 with a esp EC-500, and it is awsome

  • dude. i just got the spider 4 half stack. what all did yours come with.

  • yay whitewash :D

  • does it come with a chanel selector pedal

  • WHITEWASH

  • how much did this one cost you??

  • I said it in the video......like $650

  • yea, isnt that like a discount or something

  • $650......with the gabinet ??

i dont entirely speak english, so i cant understand everything

thanx for show it and share its sound

  • im unhappy.. last time i kissed a girl she had strawberry chap stick =( XD

  • wtf

  • lolz

  • Sorry I meant If I could connect a 2x12" 200W cab to this head

  • You can.

  • hey man I'm just seeking for a head and I think I'm getting this, btw is that a 4x12 cab?? I'm worry because I don't know If a can connect a 2x12 150W amp with this head

    Thx 4 your answersm ;)

  • nice.... im lookin gettin the same setup- i am using kustom at the moment but hmm might just get the line 6 head sound great! nice guitar!

  • does any 1 no if i can buy a cabnit and connect my spyder 3 line 6 75 watt amp combo to a amp cabnit or i need a head

  • no u cant without extree modification, i already talked to the guys at guitar center about mine lol.

  • and hahaha for a beginner you have better gear than me and i have a dean razorback with Boss GT-10 and Fender combo amp 65watt

  • holy shit, is that the pedal or the amp haha thats some deadly distortion, i think im gonna buy me the same shit

  • is this a tube amp

  • yes

  • no its a solid state

  • I have a 75 watt line6 amp would i be able to buy a cabinet and just get the speaker cable and hook up my amp to the Cabinet

  • You cant ive already tried.

  • yea it has micks clean and lead channels set in it.. so you can get a pretty sick slipknot tone out of this amp

  • i guess i would consider myself an inermidiate player but a crappy inermidatde and i really need a bigger amp like a half stack and i love line 6 would you recommend

  • heeey man im looking at getting this set up, and i want to use it for playing gigs live with my band would it be able to go loud enough without blowing the amp because my drummers kit is loud LOL
