It has alot to do with the AWD to give it a good launch plus it probably has some computer controlled launch control to make it REALLY quick off the line. The Evo is lighter than the SS. And isn't the Evo turboed?

Getting sideways at 140 are we now? Whether you have AWD or RWD at 140 you better keep the wheels straight. EVOs are super high tier for cornering grip, Camaro SS, not so much.
i didnt see any evos running against the vipers and corvettes in the drifting competition even the GTR took out its FWD just so itd be RWD to drift better. and at 140 most FWD and AWD cars have problems. But if theyre really taking chances ive seen vipers go sideways at 220+ and handle it like theyre doing it at 60...
That camaro was drop top too I think. Those are a little heavier.

Evos arent as light as you think, they arent far off in weight VS. the camaro. the evo is turbo'd. like i said in my previous statement, evo/camaros are both LOW 13 second cars. both are into the 12s with light mods. thats why i dont understand how an evo is rice

I never said the car was rice but I never said I like Evos either.
AWD is going to launch better than a RWD car will unless, like you said, the RWD car has a tire mod (slicks or DR's).
AWD sucks from roll racing though due to drivetrain loss.

I am not knocking the ss, but the rx7 and evo are respectible cars, that take a real job to afford. They are good for what they are. I mean the Evo just good accel. and cornering. RX7 in my opinion has a great sound and a classic look. The SS is a brute. Sometimes there is no replacement for displacement. All good cars though. And please dont call every import driver a ricer. These are good cars that you are not giving a chance. Judging by your name i can see you like mustangs, ride on.

I hate them subaru's, all the dirtbag girls and fag guys think they are badass because they can run within .5 or a second within a 1998-2002 LS1 trans am or camaro in the quarter, but its just like u seen in that video...I have a 01' WS6 that runs 12.49 with just bolt on's, and when I race the STI's with nitrous,turbo,or whatever...they always get me by about 5 cars to the 60ft mark but by the 8th mile I got them by 3 cars and then about 10 cars at the 1/4 and they run like 13.90's if lucky.....

Getting sideways at 140 are we now? Whether you have AWD or RWD at 140 you better keep the wheels straight. EVOs are super high tier for cornering grip, Camaro SS, not so much.

i didnt see any evos running against the vipers and corvettes in the drifting competition even the GTR took out its FWD just so itd be RWD to drift better. and at 140 most FWD and AWD cars have problems. But if theyre really taking chances ive seen vipers go sideways at 220+ and handle it like theyre doing it at 60...
