  • Do they have sons that play with the band?

  • Really nice job on this video guys! A really fun song done really well. How many of us have felt this feeling in life? It's funny how we as people share the same experiences even though we come from different parts of the world. I love the intro! Great harmonies and instrumentals. All around good and nice clear pictures.

  • Jeff Foxworthy plays a nice fiddle break at 1:40.

  • neither let a barower nor lender be>>>

  • Bobby is very talented , master mandolinist, terriffic fiddle player to. also currently a college teacher . Sweet man to talk to,everytime we talk I run out of things to say.

  • @vegan275 -very talented indeed. What does he teach?

  • for anyone in here not familiar with the old south, reading the books by Basil Duke and Sam Watkins is essential. Duke the rich land owner, Watkins the poor man. both present vivid views of the souths true reality. they miss nothing. good and bad plainly described.

  • Does anyone know what concert is this? is this avalaible on DVD or something? these guys are good!

  • simply the best:)

  • Bluegrass is such happy music!

  • @pegcage yes very happy music with such titles as "pain in my heart"

  • Did they ever play Carnegie Hall? They belong there

  • Good!

    :)

  • oh love this song somuch

  • I think this is my favorite Osborne Brothers tune. The musicians on this video take such wonderful breaks and Bobby's singing is phenomenal.

  • Pain In Your Heart? pop a nitro

  • I don't know if there are any better fiddlers. Maybe just as good, but he sounds pretty good to me. If whatever else you say is true then I think he needs help and not condemnation!

  • Great vocals. I think this is my favorite Osbornes song. Where did all these good bands go? Now we mostly got a bunch of liberal wimps playing jazzgrass, wimpgrass and pansygrass. Having said that - FYI, check out "The Out Of Town Boys" who are still out there playin' it right.

  • I knew Sonny & Bobby in the 50's, they were something else!! Great music. 5*

  • look at those sideburns

  • I know I wish I had some like that! wow!

greetings to the USA from germany

  • @ralfrecords Guten Tag. Wie gehts es ihnen? Ich was auf Salem, Oregon geboren aber Ich habe auf Deutchlad sein. Deutchland ist sehr schon!

  • That's some true Bluegrass right there!! I don't care who dun it first, Sonny & Bob did it bestus!

  • Sorry 2ndfret, but the original recording is by Flatt & Scruggs, 1948. but it was written by Bobby Osborne.

  • Sorry Bus Reily but Flatt and Scruggs did not record pain in my heart till 1951 The Lonsome Pine Fiddlers recorded Pain in My Heart in March 1950.You can verify this on their Bear records Mercury sessions

  • Flatt and Scruggs recorded Pain In My Heart in Octobver 1950it was released in 1951The Lonsome pine fiddler recorded it in March of 1950

  • I like the original recording of this by the lonsemone pine fiddlers with Bob Osborne and Larry Richardson on the 5 string. Larry and Bob wrote this tune.

  • I prefer The Bluegrass Album Band version with Tony Rice singing it

  • It seems Sonny has actually simplified Earl Scruggs original break of this song. I also like the harmony on The F&S record better. The highlight of this though is Sonny's backup and the last bit of the second break that walks onto the chorus. Thats awesome!

  • Certainly one the highest sweetest true pure bluegrass high tenor ever. Thanks so much for posting!

  • hey it's paul brewster

  • Great song done in the trademark High-Lead vocal style. I love Sonny's solo!

  • great video, thanks!
