@xSurkinLoverx Seems to fit the multi-touch use. Index finger on left mouse button, middle and ring finger on touchpad, little finger on right mouse button.
So, I'm between this and the Asus T91, to decide, just answer me one question, can we use this is portrait mode? because I'm going to use this as a reading device and the asus doesn't. thank you.
Oh, I totally agree. But the ASUS looks a good deal slicker than the Gigabyte. Also, does Gigabyte have high build quality? And the trackpad still bothers me, I don't know how easy it would be to use...
I don't know how people can survive with the mouse pointers on the side of the trackpad. I used my friends HP mini that had that config for a couple of hours and it drove me nuts. I just couldn't get used to it, its not where the fingers should naturally lay.
A little bit difficult, yes. However i'm finding myself using the muilti-touch features for left, right and double click. I wouldn't let it hold you back from a purchase and its a great quality pad. Steve.
Thanks for the response to my question Steve! I have one more question: Would you rather choose this or the ASUS T91/T101H? The ASUS machines are slicker looking, but it seems to me that the Gigabytes have more features and are way more upgradable...
Also, are models that do not come with the 3G card still prewired with an antenna for those of us who may want to add one aftermarket/later on?
Definitely. The T91 will be a much mor mobile solution but I think the T101H is main competitor. Upgrade capability, 3G and price could be the deciding factor. I don't see the T101 being any cheaper than this.
I have one of these used for 6 months.... in the storage..(you can type in the serial and find out)
I also upgraded the ram to 2 gig.
I'll sell mine for 350 cash.
message me if you're interested.

in this price range you can go for an hp multitouch at 800 dollars or so. netbooks are just too damn slow to do anything productive on it

Does this thing have multi-touch support on the screen if you upgrade to Win7 Home Premium? Or does the hardware simply not support it?
DrDaxxy 2 years ago
It dosen't have a Multitouch-Screen, or has it?

How is the trackpad? Hard to get used to?
I am torn between this and and the T91/T101H...
What decision would you make?

Also, one more question, can you post an image on UMPC portal of how far the SDHC/SD cards stick out of the side of the machine? Thanks again!

Nice review! Interesting to see how this compares to the new Asus "net-vertables"

did you say PCI express slot??? Does it means I could actually upgrade video card? I don't think so but, maybe possible?
Martins2012 2 years ago
You idiot; this is a netbook, not a desktop. Apply some common sense to the matter: he said Express CARD, not PCI-e.
