  • Greek folder???

    2:51

  • @TheMartsakis its to make your mixes more warm and hairy

  • Is This Virtual Dj Compatible Answer Quick Almost Christmas

  • does this have a pitch nudge button or something like that since u can't use the platter to do that or do you have to make your own midi map for it

  • too much latency i think. :/

  • @HUNdjkay i agree .. i belive it could be changed though

  • can you mix greek music with these ???

  • @ilyas4you hater

  • i have 1 of these..theres actually a vid of me freestyling on it..should check it out..its a pretty awesome system

  • hahaha goo stanton.... thats my last name... yeah fucking good name

  • Great controllers.

Has anyone got a mapping for this with a browse mode and an advanced effect mode????

    thanks in advance

  • @poolcha yupyup

  • WHhhhaaaaa! i watched 6 videos of you mate, and i havent leanred shh*t

  • HAHA @ The subtitles.

  • How is the SCS.3m responding now after this video? Is it sensitive? Would you recommend ? I am looking for a mixer and he is one of my options to buy. I have Mac with traktor and a kontrol x1. ;) thanks for the info.

  • @paulocuiaba its awesome..completely customizable...sensitivity and all

  • It looks great but... are you able to use an crossfader like this one? All Touchs. isn´t good...

  • @ilyas4you what u say is bullshit. though i gotta admit that i prefer it as well.

turntables are the classics, and it´s the most challenging equip.

but oldschool ain´t better, it is HARDER to do.

    that´s it.

i don´t like autosynq neither, every dumbass can DJ today, but in fact this makes the software the BETTER solution.

wether you like it or not.

i stick to my DVS for real DJing, but i also own a controller to be mobile and practise everywhere.

  • Thanks Brotha

  • would this be good for an new upcoming dj?

  • John, if you can I would like to see a gig log with this piece of hardware if you are willing man, cause, I am trying to really get a picture of this thing and if it would fit for my last min DJing needs. Meaning, if I need to save a gig or last min calls.

  • ay my fuckin lights are not turning on.. wtf is up with that?? is there like a setting i have to change or something?? not all the lights like cross fader, volume etc. there supposed to move.. idk if anyone knows whats up hit me up!! thanks

  • Boy they just can't accept tha fact that TURNTABLES are tha best thing when it comes 2 djing...aka Blaze

  • can you do a video of stanton dascratch and virtual dj?

  • Your house must be full of garbage like this.

  • I AM a midi controller!

  • ya the idea of no real knobs for crossfader or volumes is craaaazy.

  • Sry DJ Tutor but you are a totally bOOn when it comes to Digital DJing. Important things to say about the Stantan Controllers :

    - Midi Controller, doesn't send any audio to nowhere, just commands to the software

    - Controls assignable to every function you want to control in the DDJ-Sofware

    - No Faders / Pots, everything is touch controlled

    - External Soundcard like the NI Audio 2/4/8 needed for pro audio output and precueing a track

  • then make a tutorial

  • Dj Tutor ,muy bueno ese stanto da scratch ,y gracias por la infomacion.

  • what is real then?

mix with what you like to use

  • My god from what planet does this thing came from :P

    Looks spacy

  • Next time use windows or browsing the music jonathan. Notied that Traktor really ist poor at keeping you music niceley synch'ed.

    Thanks for the tut Jonathan!

  • im confused on a few things with this setup. First, i see theres no headphone jack so how do you mix properly?

Second, how would you plug into a sound system?

If these are "Duh" questions, I apologize.

But so far im impressed with what these can do just not so convinced that they could be considered a full setup by themselves

  • too much technology man

  • Yeah me too!

  • Same keyboard and mouse i use in college haha

  • Interesting electronic device in terms of engineering creativity but the sound you delivers in the video seems me very cheap, maybe it's just comming out from the internal computer soundcard ?

I would also add these toys can be used with Mixxx a free software working under linux/macos/windows

  • WERE CAN U GET THIS!!

  • musicians friend, zzounds, google shopping (check the seller ratings).

  • I have Traktor LE by the way, if anyone wants it in Canada.

  • i had exact same hat lol ,,

  • if ur new to the whole laptop DJ set , I would start using the Vestax VCI300. It's like using Pioneer CDJ and mixer without the CDs. I'm skeptic abotu this no knobs DJ set. It would prob good as an effect mixer but not a primary setup.

  • what do you have in the "greek" Folder ???? :D

  • @Bilhs greek porn of course :D

  • @iDesell :O you think!hahaaha... But I would prefer If he had some Greek Music inside :P

  • you have greek music????

  • J highlight all your music in the Traktor and right click and select add to collection. This makes Traktor organize/ analyze all the songs, and loads them into the decks faster. Hope this helps!

  • how do you get all this equipment all the time?

  • WOW! now i like them! erm i have had a look threw there website and cant find anything on where you get so could some one send us a link to a place where i could order em, cheers.

  • where can i buy the whole set ? the left and right deck and the mixer in the middle? no site is clear and how much it will be ?

  • Take a look at th M Audio Torq Xponent its much better...

personal preference take a look at it its easier and more strait fordward.

  • isnt it rude to wear a hat indoors? Keep up the good work!

  • Do you realize that there are software for DJs that u dont need hardware. you just control everything with your mouse and you can even program it to do what ever you like so . If you record a mix you like it will learn it and just play it back automaticly

  • the diffrence being touching two things at once with your mouse to having two hands and realtime adjustments? that mouse and keys thing is no substitute for the real thing ?

    ;]

  • But real time mixing, with controllers, is far better, it's just a lot more fun. DJing with a mouse and a keyboard is just strange haha.

  • Johnathan:

Why you didn't mention about large latency when djing on such controller?

We also like to know disadvantages of particular gear.

  • Any latency would come from the soundcard in the PC on which you install the Traktor software.

In theory, any PC you are intending to use for DJing should be fitted with a low latency ASIO sound card.

  • maybe he's not allowed to.... hmm.... does make you wonder.

still top bloke, got to respect him giving us a look at all this equipment - bad or good.

  • At the end of the day i am here to show kit, demo it and let people know how it works. If i was to go into great detail on even a simple bit of kit you would end up with 1,000 vids! I just try to keep it simple , but at the same time informative. thanks

  • do u get paid 2 do these videos cuz u have basically every dj table on the market

  • @ellaskins It is a good vid. down to earth and real!

  • What latency? Sound latency, data latency? I've worked with different soundcards and midi controlers (like this one) and the latency is unoticable.

    I'm on a mac though. :)

  • yea brag about your macbook pro cause others like me cant afford it LOL damn!

  • He didnt setup latency in the Traktor menu, you can set it up just about perfectly and you wont notice the delay, cause it can go down to 5 Mili seconds.

  • It's even better with a zero latency card , but those can be quite pricey.

  • or just use asio, and a simple soundcard just so you can monitor with headphones

  • I have asio down to 3ms on a good day, trust me I know about asio, I also have an m-audio 2496 that for some reason fried so im with on-board for now.

  • That thing looks good don't get me wrong....but gimiky as hell! It doesn't look like you could ever have any sort of 'fine' control over levels/crossfader. Seriously J, if you want a proper USB MIDI controller get hold of the Numark Omni Control....

  • I think you really need to touch one and play with it first and then decide. It can be extremely responsive. You can change the relative modes of the touch pads to give fine or smoother control, you also have instant and multitouch functions available meaning you can adjust fader levels faster than a real fader if you wanted too.

  • Too expensive and too fancy.

  • @Tippetophat You can just start with one unit at £155. So it can be an extremely cheap solution

  • Oh :D

  • cdj 400's + serato scratch live +djm 400 is the best midi set up (cdj 2000 tooooo expensive)

  • Way too expensive. Not worth the money.

  • Here's my thought on a touch control MIDI controller.....Why not just buy a TOUCH CONTROL SCREEN? Sometimes we forget to use our common sense....

  • They actually look pretty cool but wouldn't that type of crossfader (i.e. touch pad) mean you couldn't do things like crabbing?

  • @ambergambler The SCS all have multitouch so crabbing and tight scratching is extremely easy. just hold down one part of the crossfader strip and tap another as fast as you want

  • dont like it i prefer my mixer

  • prefer vci-100 love it :), i like the whole pioneer cdj's too but the are overpriced :(

  • CDJs overpriced ??

  • yes yes and yes if u are not that rich then it is cuz prices are still up even when cdj 2000 is out cdj 100 and 200 are not dropping i know its probably the best cdj on the market but cuz its pioneer its 2x more then it should be :) just my opinion...i say buy it if u have that much money for hobie :)) i would like to have technics 1210's but no record store here so.... thats what im talking about :D

    peace

    peace

  • Exacly. My advise to all people, who are intresting in this stanton. Leave this idea, forget about this toy, and buy vci-100 (or 300, if you want Itch software instead of tracktor). It's easier, cheaper and more similar to real DJ console with cd-players or turntables.

    Cheers.

  • i dont like the idea of touch controls, i use the hercules rmx and i think i prefer it that way, tactile controls are much better and defo going to expant it to a couple of vinyl decks with time coding the only thing thats stopping me is the £90 for the pro version of virtual Dj Pro 6 :-(

  • all rite how much is that think cost ????

  • Stanton SCS3M Controller (Mixer) £159.00 + 2 DaScratch MIDI controllers (Decks) £155 each, a total of £469 personally i think its steep for a controller, it would be worth buying the midi mixer portion by its self and you can get a couple of decent turn tables for £150 each + time coded vinyls are only about £10 each, so would be a pritty good set up for under £500

  • al rite thanks no i wudnt buy somthink like that i have my set up .jos wont 2 know whats the price bat thanks man!! have question i plan ghet per usb turntables du you know enithink bout it is it wort it and witch ones?

  • actually i dont know anything about USB turntables, i figured that was just for archiving vinyl to a computer its my understanding you have to use a midi usb mixer to control the software with... but i could be wrong...

  • all rite thanks anyway i have midi usb mixer i woz think that maybe you know non my friends have 1 so i ask you think gone ghet jost 1 and see what they can du !!!!ok thanks anyway you have grate channel there keep it up man

  • how is the reactivity of the pc-controller ??
