Obama lived in Indonesia as a child, from 1967 to 1971, with his mother and stepfather and not with his grandfather and grandmother, Stanley and Madelyn Dunham, in Hawaii. It was not until Obama turned 10 that he moved to Honolulu to live with his grandparents. From there, Frank Marshall Davis, the Communist, became his mentor of the young Foreign National.

From what I can tell... Obama never mentions here that he saw the Apollo 11 splash down with his grandpa etc... He says that he recalls "sitting on his grandfather's shoulders when those capsules would land". Since he moved back to hawaii in 1971 he could very well be refering to the later apollo mission (15, 16 or 17) which lasted well into 1972.

He's speaking slowly because it's candid and not a pre-written speech. You see many politicians do it. Hillary Clinton is one of my favorite speakers and she speaks very slowly when she's talking candidly, in a non prerehearsed mode. It makes the speech feel genuine.
And I'm not going into the crazy conspiracy of citizenship. Most people who were interested have looked and found a birth certificate. Those who are very paranoid of course don't believe even when they see with their own eyes.

We have quiet cameras. I have a digital SLR that makes not a sound. However, it has a sound effect selection in a menu that lets you choose to make it "sound" like an old fashioned SLR. I, at least, have the decency to turn the sound off in a situation like this. Unlike these idiot photographers, who were annoying as Hell.
