  • @inxsfullmoon: The mosquito I made was mostly of network cables for computers. They worked well once you stripped the outer coating off. I've also used aluminum screening, computer parts, LED's, magnets, and spray paint. I do almost everything with a spool of wire and some needlenose pliers. I've never used a 'filler' of any kind and all my work is just layer upon layer of wire to create the thickness I want. I have another wire video that I think is a bit better than this one. Good Luck!

  • @inxsfullmoon: Once upon a time I would use those clear plastic ties they use to keep products secured to their cardboard packaging. I would fashion a human figure out of a few of them and then wrap sewing thread around them to create clothing. They were kinda neat. I've moved on as you can see and even these sculptures are a few years old now. I need to create a more recent video but my problem is that I do not take pictures of every piece.

  • Nice work Im just started out myself but I dont have the money to go and get copper so I have been using bread ties so far they are working out

  • I do it all by hand, never know how they will end up. No solder, I use steel, aluminum, copper, insulated wire, almost anything.

  • Exactlly how is this stuff done? Do you solder the wires together, or bend them. And do you use an internal structure to work around or free hand it all? Thanks, and thay are amazing!

  • Cool stuff
