can someone who owns this car please tell me what the mpg is when ur drive this car on the motorway at 65-75mph??? i really need to know i drive alot and thinking of buying this car be honest!!!
What is the best RPM range that you should shift a diesel car...If it is important a 2.5 tdi Audi a6...So when should i shift if i want the best 0-60 time? :)
Verbrauchsverarschung. Gestern kam ein Vergleichstest im TV. Bluemotion 1.6TDI vs. Golf GTD Bj.82. Beide Fahrzeuge fuhren die identische Strecke (Stadtverkehr). Der Bluemotion brauchte 4,95l/100km, der GTD aus 82 brauchte 4,7l/100km....
A modern common rail turbo diesel engine is never under powered, even in size 1.6, because they produce a lot of torque, and it's torque that really matters, not horse power.
@NiallatUTube Yea, it might not be fast, but it goes, and it ALWAYS goes, no matter the conditions. Its the kind of power you can rely on.... kinda like a train. Train doesnt acceleate fast, but its acceleration feels powerful and continuous, it feels like it will keep accelerating forever. I'd always choose a small diesel over a small petrol. The difference between 1.6 petrol with 102 hp and 1.6 tdi with 105hp is very big, diesel feels like it has 20-30 hp more than the petrol version.
JESUS CHRIST SAVES - For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life
@Deltamike23 - BlueMotion just includes more technology to reduce fuel consumption (hence, less carbon emmissions). Where I live (South Africa) - for example the Polo 1.2 TDI BlueMotion is cheaper than Polo 1.6TDI. You cannot win a robot -to-robot race in the BlueMotion all the time - but do you race every day?
You can decide what is more important to you - more power, or more economy. Then choose. BlueMotion has very good torque compared to petrol cars in the same class e.g. Polo 1.4 Petrol.
@D12eams Because hybrids sound better. I don't mean the engine. If you say "I've got a hybrid car" it sounds better than if you have a diesel. I think it's just the "image" that goes with hybrids...
i luv golf, germany rocks, ..oh and i had the word bluemotion for password long before golf put it for their fuel efficiant trade mark, ..i can't believe it, .. :D ..i feel personally connected with bluemotion series.. for me it blue emotion from now on.. :D
hmm hatte ers den 120er dann den 160 tsi und jez den 105 ps tdi geht zwar nicht so ab aber ne tank füllung hält wesentlich länger. nur der erste gang ist mir irwie zu kurz geraten --_--
@ujitedstates FAPS must be "changed" every 60.000km (and cost a lot of money) some cars even get the fap "ruined" early because in city traffic doesn't regenerate enough to get clean (but almost all of the problems with faps on VWare on the 170hp versions)
BTW all the euro 5 diesels are with a FAP, so there is not much choice if you want a diesel..
actually the ESP is not flashing ALL the time.. it's flashing for a sec and then it gets off - that means that it activates by it's self AKA it's activated... gotta learn more from your golf :)
Es liegt in der Natur der Sache, dass der Verbrauch beim Beschleunigen steigt. Wenn die Geschwindigkeit aber erreicht ist, pendelt sich der Verbrauch unten ein.
And how about the exhaust is it hide under bumper ? Or has 2 pipes like 2.0 TDI and TSI versions ? I just finished reading about this BlueMotion it's interesting. How much KM can you do on full tank ? Does it has STOP-START ? If yes could you make video how it looks ?
Finally I found something about this new engine. Is it good ? I mean when you compare it to the 2.0 TDI 110 KM ? Does this one also have muffler like the TSI, 2.0 TDI ? Or it is hide under the bumper ? What's average fuel consumption ? Thx for answer :)
They should have called it the Slowmotion

You must be retarded or something.
It flashes NOT all the time but it flashes with intervals. And the way it flashes on indicates that it's turned of!
MovieBitstracker 2 years ago
if it flashes all the time than it's OFF
it's flashing continiously so yes it's ON

Stupid retard..
I have a Golf my self.
If it's flashing in intervals it's OFF unless you're burning out.
And he was not!

most people say the 1.6 liter 105hp is too underpowered for the weight of a golf, but in the video it doesn't look that "slow"....
BTW I will have a MK 6 with the 2.0 110hp version the 5 of january!
mosquiton001 2 years ago 10
so did you got your car ?
m1rchegfn 2 years ago
yes, I have already chiptuned the ECU to about 140hp...
runs really progressive and strong, (it's not "brutal" like the original 140hp engine) and pulls well from 1400 RPM to almost redline) ;)
as for fuel consumption /mpg it's really good i average usually 4 liter of diesel every 100km
it' about 58mpg :D
mosquiton001 2 years ago
@mosquiton001 I drive the 90hp MkVI TDI and it does 1-100kmh in 12 sec and max speed is 185km/h
Before I had the MkVI I drove another TDI with 90hp that was even heavier than the Golf

ago 1 exhaust released in BlueMotion, against 2 for the 110 for the start & stop is disabled with a simple button on the dashboard commel'esp.
For consumption I have not tested yet but from what I said the 2.0 tdi 110 may be 1200 km with a full and I think this one more
thedestructor007 2 years ago
it is very quiet, pleasant to drive
about performance, they are very close to the 2.0 tdi 110, while the two 190 kmh in speed,
average consumption 4.0 l and 3.5l on Highway BlueMotion version
