  • no belt??

  • I can deadlift 225 pounds and im 265 pounds. Thats good right?

  • @eggplantface

That's a decent start bro (most can't lift the bar)....

  • 6 plates is coming!

  • @robocop1993

6 plates will go this week....stay tuned.

  • It must be a bitch loading those plates on the bar lol

  • @100tonlifter

It's just part of the game bro...ha, ha...

  • Man that looked tough, but you grind it out. Nice.

  • @cford77

Tough is right C....this workout was brutal, but I am looking forward to finally hitting 6 plates and then 600 lbs....thanks brother.

  • im sure since you just doubled 570 for restarted reps you can already pull 600. cant wait to see it!!!

  • @imperiumXX

We'll see very soon Owen. Supposedly 570 lbs for a double gets me just over 600 lbs for a single, but it doesn't count until I actually do it. Two more weeks....

  • Randy you look good for at least 590..its kinda hard to tell what you can do.. somewhere between 590-605 depending on ur speed.. i think you can already muscle out 600.. if not yet, then after next weeks workout ull have it in the bag!

  • @PowerlifterTy16

Thanks T. We'll see very soon....

  • Nice work looked strong! I bet your close to 600 if not already there!

  • @powabuilda

Thanks Nate. 570 lbs should put me just above 600 lbs for a single, but we will see pretty soon. 585 lbs for singles this week and 600 lbs next week.

  • Congrats on the big PRs man!! You're progress is crazy!!!

  • @jplift

Thanks my friend....585 lbs for singles this week and then on to 600 lbs!

  • Nice job!

    Stay natural buddy!

  • @steroidsR4losers

    Thanks bro!

  • How much does your deadlift max Coan Phillipi program increase over the 10 weeks? I just finished week 1 and the circuit training was brutal, I'm used to way lower reps on deadlifts.

  • @elimcpheron

I used 550 lbs as a starting max and 600 lbs as ending max. I agree...the circuit is a brutal part of the workout, but it will pay huge dividends at the end of the cycle.

  • 425 is 78 percent of 550 lol

  • @rctriplefresh5

What's your point? Math makes you laugh???

  • Good job on the PR man, keep it up!

  • @jvalenzuela5459

    Thanks - much appreciated.

  • thats some hard work right there mate, keep it up your doing great.

  • @franco18grant

Thanks Grant. Hard work was right....I hit squats too close to this deadlift day and my power was a bit lacking.

  • Great job man, I missed 585 yesterday.

  • @rox31313

Thanks bro - you will nail 585 lbs next time around....I have no doubt.

  • @BRETZERR Thanks, got it last week. looking for 600

  • @rox31313

Saw it.....great job. Can't wait to see 600 lbs fly.

  • As soon as my meet ends I will probably def use this program.

  • I think 600 is yours man!

  • @WeightLifterNerd

    We'll see in two weeks....

  • hell yeah! this is a big pr indeed!

  • @WeightLifterNerd

Thanks Jared. It felt great to hit this for two doubles....585 lbs for singles this week and then it is on to 600 lbs....

  • Congrats Randy, that's a huge PR! 600 is yours when u want it!

  • @HHH396

Thanks Mark. 585 lbs is on the table for next week (singles) and then on to 600 lbs. Should be interesting....it's been a long time coming!

  • so lets say you can press 315 and its 50 percent of your max(thatd be nuts ahah 600 bench) but its a slow rep...and ican press 405 but its 70 percent of my max..but is till have better speed than you well i consider that a speed rep as opposed to percentages.

too bad neither of can press those max numbers.

  • dont feel one shouldjudge speed reps based on what percentage of the 1rm it is. some people have really bad speed and some have great. some people can max 230 on bench but bench 225 like its nothing.

then some people cn max 230 and bench 170 slow as hell

its like you. i respect you, and you train tough as hell, but i doubt your grinders are truely that hard..i mean, your grinders look harder than mine, jared, marks, anyones. and i thinkwe all put 100 percent effort into it.you just have worse speed.

  • @rctriplefresh5

Interesting thoughts bro....can't say I agree....but interesting nonetheless.

  • Wow, man. That is one hell of a PR! Going from not even maxing that to doubling it is great. Have a great time with the fam on vacation.

  • @jlinteris

Thanks Jordan. I appreciate that....it was a brutal workout today. My legs were still tired from Monday's squat session and 570 lbs felt like a house....ha, ha....that second set I barely made the first rep! The reps were WAY too slow....I will have to work on that.

I am looking forward to getting some rest and hitting 585 lbs fresh.

We're heading your way on vacation...sort of...Kelowna...soccer tournament. How far are you from there?

  • @BRETZERR Yeah nothing really to work on. 570 is heavy and heavish weights move slower, especially with sore legs. Recovered legs would have made you murder that set. Is 585 your next planned double day?

Kelowna hey. Okanagon is beautiful this time of your. Hopefully it doesn't get too hot since the heat can be unbarable there, especially playing sports. I am about 10-11 hours from there.

  • @jlinteris

Well not really...my doubles are supposed to be done for this cycle. I am supposed to try for 2 singles with 585 lbs next week and then 2 singles with 600 lbs the following week. For some crazy reason, I think I just might double 585 lbs next week though if I am having a good day. We'll see I guess.

The hotter the better for me bro.....we're in Kelowna from the 2nd to the 11th. The tourny is 2 days and then we are at the La Casa Resort for the rest.

  • @BRETZERR Oh beautiful. Nice that you get to hang out there and put your feet up in the sun! I am jealous. I vacationed there a few years back and loved it.

As for your training, I would reccomend NOT doubling 585. Your training has you doubling 570 which is a single that is obviously higher than 585. This is a lower volume, high intensity week that is going to set you up for the 600 pound+ pull. You don't want consecutive weeks @10 to make good gains.

  • @jlinteris I would just rip your PR single (which is getting pretty large I must say!), build confidence knowing it wasn't maxed since it shouldnt be and then hit a large pull the following week. I get tempted too during my training cycles to go above and beyond but sometimes more equals less.

  • @jlinteris

Ahhhh......you almost pulled 700 lbs the other week bro....this weight is nothing. I am still deadlifting like a girl....I need to get to 650+ lbs and then we'll talk.

  • @jlinteris

That's a great point J. Now that I think about it, I am already going above and beyond with 2 worksets each workout when the routine only calls for one. But for me, I wanted to continue doing both re-started reps and continuous reps....so I have been doing two. So, 585 lb singles it is....

  • wow i can tell this program is kicking ass for you man.

you can tell the difference between doing things your own way and using a bad ass program, might give this program a try in the future for right now im using 5/3/1 until i hit a wall on everything

  • @BIGDADDYJOHNSON27

Yeah, I hear ya.....it's nice to get some structure in your training to see what works effectively. This deadlift program has done a great job in slowly working up to these weights and making sure your body is ready. Next week is 585 lbs....should be fun....

  • Great job. This puts you at right about 600. Have a good vacation! Where are you going anyway?

  • @xjusticex2013x

Thanks man....today was a struggle for sure....can't wait to get some rest in. That was the 3rd of 3 intense workouts....I am looking forward to the time off.

I am going to Kelowna, BC for one of my daughter's soccer tournaments. We rented a house out there at a nice resort. Should be sweet....

  • @BRETZERR Cool. From here on out on this program, it's singles. Heavy singles. LOL

Are you going to do just one heavy set instead of two?

  • @xjusticex2013x

Nope...the plan is to still hit two sets of singles. Should be interesting....

    Thanks man.

  • you hypocrite!! you called 425 a SPEED set. haha jk rany. nice work 600 will grind up soon enough. i think youre ready for it now,but might as well take your time and get it when youre ready brother

  • YOU HYPOCRITE!! you called 425 a speed set. hahaha jk nice work randy 600 is ready now,,but take your time and get it easily.

  • wow you weigh close to 230 lbs now lol

  • @marshallbrooks1

Ha, ha, ha.......I know! Don't remind me.....it's ugly! Ha, ha.....I need to start hitting the cardio soon (right after 600 lbs goes).

  • YOU HYPOCRITE!! you called 425 a speed set. hahaha jk nice work randy 600 is ready now,,but take your time and get it easily.

  • YOU HYPOCRITE!! you called 425 a speed set. hahaha jk nice work randy 600 is ready now,,but take your time and get it easily.

  • YOU HYPOCRITE!! you called 425 a speed set. hahaha jk nice work randy 600 is ready now,,but take your time and get it easily.

  • @rctriplefresh5

Thanks Dave....600 lbs is going soon for sure. 2 more weeks....

425 lbs is only 70% of my projected one-re max bro....and I could hit that fresh for at least 12+ reps easy. So, yeah, I would say it is okay for speed weight....ha, ha...

How many times can you do 390 lbs??? (I would guess 4 max - not the same)

Either way, I know you are joking. When's 440 lbs going for you? I have been waiting a long time bro....what's the hold up?

  • @BRETZERR NO HOLD UP...440x2 next week. i can do 390 easily for more than 4 prob 10..damn randy give a brother some street cred eh? haahah(like my cnaadian style eh?)

i did 415x2 today like it was a piece of candy...i could prob do 415 for 5 right now..im assuming youre talking double overhand. mixed grip though i really think im gonna do 440x2 next week, although ive been none to be delusional in my lifetime!. brb gotta take my Ritalin, and prozac lol jk.

  • @rctriplefresh5

Nice bro.....can't wait to see the vid's of the double with 415 lbs and the future double of 440 lbs. Bring it!

And no one in Canada really says "eh" anymore bro....but nice try!

  • @BRETZERR oh and dont forget my morphine..haah jk i dont take that crap shit
