Carbon-dioxide does duel photosynthesis, but if the rate of CO2 creation exceeds the total conversion to oxygen through photosynthesis, then a tax does make sense. C02 is called a greenhouse gas because it traps radiation from the sun from reflecting off the planet and escaping through our atmosphere. This means that the excess CO2 will lead to a build up of thermal radiation which heats the planet. Since we are destroying the main deterrent of this (trees), then something needs to be done.

When the greenhouse effect was first theorized (shortly after the coming ice age theory) it was stated that raised CO2 levels would trap reflected sunlight in the upper atmosphere resulting in a band of heat. Since, this has been shown not to have occurred, yet the theory lives on. H2O is the most abundant greenhouse gas(massively more than CO2), affects the earths albedo the most, fluctuates the most. Arguably, next to the sun it affects our climate most. Just something I've considered.

Last year in august Greenpeace had a big advertisment where they asked people to donate money to buy carbon credits so that there wouldnt be any left for the industry to buy. A few months later the economy crashed and the price of carbon credits was dumped! Greenpeace WASTED good money buying SHIT when they couldve done something usefull.

Its a perfect example of how this CO2 hysteria is destroying time and money that should be invested in real environmental activism.
