  • I find the proposed concept from this clip that stuttering is not psychological to be very irritating! The reason why, is that the mental and emotional aspects of the individual self play a very important integral role with stuttering. It isn't solely based on speech mechanisms. The experts claim its not psychological, but then later on in the clip they say that stressful situations can effect the stutterer. See what i'm getting at, their text book opinion is absurd. I am a stutterer myself!

  • Oh and if it wasn't clear, I also am a stutterer :D

  • @1357Animallover Wow, I think you are rather lucky that you know people who stutter! I have only met one person who does and that was only a few months ago. You are lucky. Haha

  • I have a stutter and so does my dad, brother and best friend so they all know how i feel.

Im annoyed at myself of how i got my stutter, because i just started copying my brother then when i was 8 i had a real stutter.

Do you think it would help me in class if i tell my teachers that i stutter?

Do stutterers notice that when they talk to other stutterers they dont stutter as bad or sometimes they dont stutter at all?! Its annoying cuz thats the only time your not embarrased about your stutter!

  • @1357Animallover I would really advise you to tell your teachers that you do stutter. I stuttered since i was a kid until now. I am 19 yrs old. And telling my teachers really helped me as in They wont put me on the spot. only when I am sure I wont stutter I would raise my hand to answer etc. your right me 2 infront of my family I dont stutter or other stutter i guess its because we know they know about our problems and we dont panic something like that..

  • Im an aspiring actor guys and I dont let my stuttering back me down with anything ! I have those days where my speech is horrible and it just kills my confidence! But i still work on it and hopefully one day I'll completely master my speech. Dont give up guys, the journey is defenitley hard and I mean...really hard! but you can stop because giving up will just make it worse. Good luck guys !

  • The cadence of the voice of a stutterer is very beautiful. I know it's painful for the person who's stuttering, but a lot of people - me included - find it very beautiful to listen to. You'd be surprised.

  • All i want is for my stutter to go we had a drama presentation the other day and i couldn't even say my own name in the end my mate had to say my name for me which was very embarrassing.

why cant i just be normall?

  • @GoldMineGamer You are! We are normal, everyone has something they don't like about themselves.

  • sometimes its so hard not to cry when ur stuttering because u become so frustrated and disappointed in urself. when that happens to me i just dont feel normal. all i wish for is to speak normal :(

  • @NuniArt93 im a stutterer too all my friends and family know i stutter sometime my friends make fun off me but i know they are joking so don't be ashamed stutters FTW :D

  • I have the kind of studdering where i just cant say the word to save my life. like when i attempt to i exhale all of my breath, then try to say it.

  • @ZombieTactics2 :( i know how u feel. i hate it cause 2day i had a presentation nd i failed it because i couldnt speak or say wat i wanted :(

  • I got so frustrated with my self yesterday i went home and just cried. I worry about it all the time. =(

  • Im a Sophmore i Highschool, and the other day in English we were going down the rows and reading aloud. I got so nervous and worried about studdering i got up, told the teacher i didnt feel good and went to the office for the rest of class. And we now have to do this once a week. What do i do? The only people who understand me are my close friends. No one els understands, not even my parents. I worry about reading in class and presentations 24/7. even when im not in school.

  • @ZombieTactics2 I had this same problem in high school english class (which I was in just a few years ago) I'm 21. I would get incredibly nervous as my classmates went down the line. I ended up just going through with it and I did stammer badly a good bit of the time. There was a lot of laughing. I learned to ignore it. It's best to power through. Worrying won't do anything about it. You have to learn to be comfortable with it otherwise it will make it worse.

  • Love this video. I'm a speech therapist in a school, and I routinely share this video with kids who stutter. It's a great starting point for discussion, and they relate a lot to the students in this video. I (and they) love that they didn't edit out all of the stuttered moments. It's so affirming for them to know that other kids stutter too!

  • :( ...

  • I've been stuttering for as long as I can remember and I hate it but this video made me realize i'm not alone.

  • what i hate is when my friends mimic me and i cant do anything about it.

  • @xsingalingx i hate it to :(

  • i sttuer alot to

  • ...i get laughed at 24/7 trust me. ive gotten laughed at so much from my friends that i got used to it to the point where i laugh with them or even make fun at my self lol fuk it, at least they respect me for who i am and for the ones that dont then to hell with them.

  • hey guys my name is carlo im 18 and ive been stuttering since little. most of my life speaking has been the hardest out of everything and yes it is frustrating, emberrasing, sometimes it lowers your self esteem, it makes you feel like shit but look at the bright side; your not alone. i know exactly what you guys go through everyday, dont let stuttering hold you back on your life. be what you wanna be and do what you wanna do.

  • i hate it when people make fun of me ):

  • @berryjessy Same here ): They need to grow up and realize everyone is different. And just because we stutter God loves us the same as everyone else.

  • @MsMusicfreak4ever what do u do? or act when this happens?

  • @berryjessy When I stutter I try to avoid the facial manorisms so I just stop and take a breath and try to work through it. When some jerk makes fun of me, I either ignore it and walk away, or say "nobody is perfect"

  • i was just called from my friends and they made me say the number 38 and i started to cry cuz they wer making fun of my stuttering :"(

  • my biggest frustrations is that the pathologist at school will not recognize that my son stutters,,,because the stuttering does not happen while he is talking to her.... she is not the one hugging my son when he is crying frustrated at home because he does stutter, he read at 2nd grade level in kinder garden, now he is 12and it has gone down ..i have struggled getting him some help and i am frustrated not knowing what to do...the pathologist said to me "it isnt conistent, i cant do anything" :.(
