Those doors appear to be special ordered- Maybe they even came from a blue bird; they appear to have the same dimensions as blue bird doors (unlike amtran/IC doors which are wider). Just about all the carpenters I've seen with these type air doors were had constant problems, so they installed manual door handles instead. All within the first 4 or 5 years.
According to Wikipedia Carpenter went out of business in 2001. So I dont know why there is this bus with the all glass power door. Unless it was a retrofit on a 2000 model and from looking at the windshield in the video it appears to be the last design of Carpenter. I know now days there is only Blue Bird. Thomas and IC still left in the school bus market.
We have one old Carpenter, looks to be a mid 80s bus, in the very back of our bus garage, I have no clue where it came from because NC got Carpenters in the 50s or 60s. It is built to NC specs, but that doesn't say much for our bare spec sheet.
I would love to see more of this bus.
