i live in los lunas newmexico ive seen tornadoes but nly in oklahoma when i waz small im 12 now so it waz a long time ago in bixbe oklahoma i lived in new mexico most ov my life oh and arkensaw 2 that wz nic tho lked the vid
i live in portales that is like 30 min from clovis and we could see all the action. We has a couple of tornados that were supposed to touchdown but they never did.
Wasn't there 13 or 14 total tornado's that touched down around the state that night? That's more in one night than they usually have all year. The tor's are never as big as some other state's, but seems like when things fire up in NM it tries it's hardest to be as wicked as possible. Typical - the warnings always come out after everything's in the works or over. Nice vid. ^^
There were quite a few tornadoes that evening and I missed all the ones after dark because I was helping out another chaser who was stuck in the mud. I will definitely go back to NM if I am gonna see something like that again.
I lived in clovis New Mexico for about 20 years and I had to see about 6 of these things there but it never made news like this (glad I left, good luck ma)
Man, I remember this like it was yesterday. We drove from W. Oklahoma but it was all worth it. It was my first serious storm chase and we got 6+ tors but most were after dark.
i would of needed to be there to see for sure, but I thought I could see a few different areas of rotation within that storm. Almost looked like there were two vortexes at one point making contact with the ground. Great video! In Indiana most of our storms contain a lot of rain so viewing tornadoes is difficult.

boy the NWS was prompt with that warning LOL

I was so excited i dont remember hearing that warning. First daytime tornado of the year will tend to distract you completely like that.

was there a multiple vortex in this storm?

I would consider it a multiple vortex, that just my opinion

True. But I've seen some nice tornadoes there in indiana. I live here outside peoria, IL so we get some nice tornadoes every year.
