  • this is my favorite song. i love kws :)

  • He killed tht guitar solo

  • Wonderful song. Simplicity is king.

  • u gotta say one thing tiis kid rocks

  • What a great song, how come i haven't heard this before now?

    - KWS sound to be inspired by hendrix, does ANYBODY knows which kinds of effect he's using while playing the solo's?? i would very much like to know that! :)

  • @jimi131420 I think it's an Octavia pedal, same thing Hendrix used.

  • I saw the KWS Band perform twice around the time Trouble Is was pretty popular. They were much more intense back then, had a different lineup too except of course for Kenny and the lead singer. That was in the late 1990's but he is still good and I can only wish I played half as good as he does. I haven't heard much from or about the KWS Band in years but it is good to see that Kenny is still out there doing what he does best. Keep at it Kenny, you're GREAT!

  • Awesome music!!!

  • I can honestly say, this is the only song of his I know, BUT, I sought this tune out, on u-tube, because I loved it so much from hearing it on the radio. Classic tune!

  • @ralphyization "ditto" Awsome song. So glad I happened to turn on the radio when this was playing - loved it too.

  • Merry Blue on Black Christmas:}Great Jam:}

  • Kenny, you make us who live in North La. proud....Great live band and if anyone has the opportunity, go see them live...Pure Greatness..Stevie Ray Vaughn is somewhere smiling.

  • have tickets for Kenny tomorrow at the House of Blues Chicago that I unfortunately have to get rid of now, if anyone's interested. 12/15/2011

  • @aficereal i went to the show and it was phenom.

  • 4 tone defs are also color blind..............

  • The lead singer looks like the evil Jason Sudeikis, Dr. House is on bass and, Trey Parker, creator of South Park, is shredding on guitar.

  • Great song!! I must say that I am a little pissed off that the video shows KWS (himself) singing it????

  • Are u high? This dude u think looks like Dr, House is playin acoustic guitar. I love House & he did not play an acoustic guitar!!! and doesn't even come close 2 looking like House. Just my opinion, like assholes everyone has one.

  • Love this

  • Kenny Wayne can't be replaced without it being noticed. Just as the singer has a very distint voice and would be missed if replaced, Kenny has a very unique approach to the blues that can't be replicated. So when the band is centered around blues and electric guitar (kenny) theres no way hes taking too much credit. The band wouldnt be the same without him, plus he founded it and writes the music. Just saying.

  • awsome

  • Luv, luv, luv!

  • i love this song it reminds me of my friend Allen Ward. this was his favorite song. R.I.P Allen you was to young to die but you will always be in my heart.

  • Not really digging the over-compression on the solo, he needs to dial that sucker back a bit.

  • great vocalist too

  • I have loved this song for a long time now and until I saw this video I assumed that Kenny was the vocalist. Now I know he is not - but he is still a righteous guitarist.

  • Jonny Lang & Kenny Wayne Sheperd, the BEST there is .....

  • Bassist needs to get in some of that =/

  • Kenny is FRIGGIN hot and this song rocks!

  • just saw KWS in Milwaukee last night. Amazing!

  • @TheBlueeyedJew seen him with jimmy page amazing

  • Shepherd graduated Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. The guitarist is "completely self taught", [3] and does not read music. Growing up, Shepherd's father (Ken Shepherd) was a local radio personality and some-time concert promoter, and had a vast collection of music. Shepherd got his first "guitar" at the age of three or four, when his grandmother purchased a series of several plastic guitars for him with S&H Green Stamps,

  • According to wikipedia:

Kenny Wayne Shepherd (born Kenny Wayne Brobst, on June 12, 1977, Shreveport, Louisiana[1]) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He has released several studio albums and experienced a rare level of commercial success both as a blues artist and a young musician.[2]

  • I'm in my mid 50's but I must say this song ROCKS!!! they are GREAT!!!!

    THEY ROCK!!!

  • something in that mans eyes reminds me of myself. great music.

You can bet I'll see them again.

  • hes awsome for such a young man first cd at what 15

  • I can't bring you back.

  • I love love love this song!!! My son Michael died in 2002 when he was twenty. This song describes how I feel about wishing I could bring him back and that it's futile.

  • @nordimersnurd RIP, Michael.

  • I like the song...I like the singer as well ;P

  • Freaking kicks ass with that guitar :)

  • Their bass player looks like Dr. House....

  • @muchadoaboume1982 omg your right he dose

  • love his guitar playing, so expressive....

  • He is the Jimmy Hendricks of his generation.....

  • @alfiesmom109

You might want to check your spelling. I've never seen his name botched so badly...

  • Like this if you like liking videos

  • Great song! Unique, insightful words.

  • Whoever is the one person who disliked this song....ill find you and i will punch you!

  • @aintthatab how true,,, what the fuck is there to not like about this ??/

  • Respond to this video... except the older guy is the real signer, and kenny wayne can be replaced,, the other cant be, without being noticed,,, either way kenny is good,, but takes too much credit,,,

  • @ikambor Are you kidding me? Its not called the Kenny Wayne Shepherd band for nothing you know.

  • Its amazing that this guy has played with the best of them. Eric, BB, Tom and many more. Heck, even Eric was the popular when he was his age. I think KWS and his band are fantastic and I look forward to many more songs from this man

  • kick ass

  • GREAT SONG !!!

  • I am a huge fan, but time to give us fans a new album to fall in love with. KWS Forever!

  • listen to the rest of the words and figure it out. or are you stupid?

  • what does "joker on jack" mean?

  • @jdhondaeightball he may have chosen those lyrics purely on them sounding great together, a lot of lyricists do that kind of thing..

  • awsome album!!!

  • love him biut i get why he is 2nd rate...its the "me" and "my"...he is arrogant and self centered...uhmm if he is the next blues great then why isnt it happnin...uhm maybe its bcause he is concerned with himself and not his guitar playing... he is good by today standards, but second rate by the actual guitarists..zz he is boring and predicatle....i love the guy. wish he would work a bit and kick ass...i got to clubs every fri and sat night, and he is about the same as most local bands...

  • @fuzzypige222 Trouble is.......(pun intended) KWS has every right to be

  • @fuzzypige222

Kenny Wayne is Second Rate? Ummm...you forget why...when you go out to clubs that he is the quote "same as most local bands". He influenced them...greatly....and none of your local bands have his guitar tone...that much I can guarantee.

  • Great friggin' act! omg! Great classic!

  • Great friggin' act! omg!

  • they raped this live version......the end

  • This is one of my most favorite songs. I didn't know that KWS was married to Mel & Robyn Gibson oldest daughter. Good luck with that Father-In-Law dude!

  • THAT is a classic song!!! I LOVE that song! To me, it';s one of those songs, I want to stop what I'm doing, or at least be able to move to it! Phenomenal.. I hope they won a Grammy for it...

  • Love playing this song while Playing Red Dead Redemption

  • I love this song, and Kenny Wayne Shepered sings it the best. But I can't believe he had the nerve to say "This is one of my favorite songs that I've written,.. and uhh..." Kenny!! How 'bout you give credit where credit is due. Mark Selby wrote this song. A fantastic song-writer, and great musician as well.

  • Just so ya know, the "lead guitar player" is Kenny Wayne Shepherd, the composer. And he is far beyond "pretty good".

  • damn there lead guitar player is pretty good

  • @HighNflY Haha, the guitar player is Kenny Wayne! Too funny that folks don't know that a band's leader doesn't have to be the vocalist.

  • @eandjbutton27 True, Just like Van Halen

  • The hot blond is Kenny Wayne Sheperd

  • youtube sort of sucks thelarge money laden members of the studios so dont expect them to let you see everything....lol...they (youtube) seem to be too stupid to realize that money is to be made by allowing exposure....they are paid by the studios to delete anyhting marginally unacceptable...sort of the BIG BROTHER...but alas...you young people dont care...

  • I love this song but not sure why, lol. But KWS a bad ass

  • He doesn't sing it?

  • @bigboss25262 what do you mean? Are you asking if Kenny sings it? If so then no, he's the blonde haired guy.

  • does anybody know what pedals he uses for that lead sound?

  • It might be an Octavia. It sounds very similar to the lead town of "Who Knows" by Hendrix.

  • Could be any of a handful of Octave Fuzz pedals (Fulltone Octafuzz, Dunlop Octavia, Voodoo Labs Proctavia, etc).

He uses a vibe type pedal for his tone in the choruses (Dunlop Univibe, Voodoo Labs MicroVibe, BBE Soul Vibe, etc).
