@Hellgirl7777 The song is written in the form of a letter (although many of the lines are written in amphibrachs). The lyric tells the story of a love triangle between the speaker, a woman named Jane, and the male addressee, who is identified only briefly as "my brother, my killer."
@chancesareshewears I'm always interested to know why people compare Tori Amos to Kate Bush. I love them both and find their music styles very different.
WEll it's NOT possible to make comparisons...Leonard played it (and wrote it)on GUITAR...as I do -special song...I've also translated it into French....
@panagostreklo - It could be speechlessness. I saw/heard her do this in Dallas TX 15 years ago and remember watching my friend... he'd hoped she would do this one and i just remember watching him watch her - in awe. One of the many, many reasons i have loved Tori for what, almost 20 years now is that her covers lead us all to seek out other really great music that we would have missed otherwise. I don't know how she does what she does with covers, but it's magic - and FBR is more.

Nobody plays the piano like her. It's like she invents new sounds.
