@BringSpeed holy shit so the add ons are 30mm then because the regular voltex fenders are 30mm wider then stock. You seem to know suspension & fender modification pretty good for the evolution. do you think i could get away with 17x10 -10 on 35mm overfenders with 235/40/17 maybe 2-3 degrees of camber
@MeanYellowMachine I'd say the max you can run with the standard widebody is a 10.5" wheel with a +18mm offset on 265/35 tires (which is pretty much flush with the fenders and requires some negative camber). 10" with -10 offset will be a bit too aggressive even with the 2-3 degrees camber, but that tire size might help it clear a bit. You will probably have to experiment with that type of fitment though. You'll also need some pretty stiff suspension since that fitment might rub on bumps/dips.
@BringSpeed Well I calculated everything like this, my new rims will stick out 73mm compared to my stock rims at the moment.my stock rims are sucken in & I have 1.5 inches/38mm of gap between the face of the rim & fender. I'm going with a 35mm overfenders add 38mm & 35mm comes out to 73mm & at the moment I'm running 245/45/15 I'm going with a smaller tire
@sigmund818 what the other guy said was uncalled for but that wing actually has a reason it is fully functional unlike most honda and mitsu cars u see with one of them aluminum wings from walmart
Brian, what power mods do you have? Just wondering. Also, why did you remove/private that other eye-gasm video you had of you driving your evo in the neighborhood? could unpriv that and upload some more of you car? haha thanks!
@KuostA Just all the bolt ons, cams, and a tune in this video. I removed that other video cause I will be putting up a new one with my new setup when it is completed (turbo, exhaust manifold, intake).
@BringSpeed so stock turbo at the moment? have any power numbers with your current setup? who tuned you? what turbo are you moving on to? and who cares if that video is oudated, might as well leave it up!
@KuostA@KuostA I haven't had it dynoed, but it slightly pulled on a modded E92 M3 in a drag race. I got tuned by a friend. He doesn't do it anymore unfortunately which I would've needed for my new turbo, the HKS GTII 7460R. Well that video is somewhat trouble causing. A less controversial location is needed haha...
Thanks again. coudln't get too much from the video but it gives me an idea of what the sound inside the cabin would be like. I'm stuck between the buscher tbe and the mines. all together the kit would be like 3 k for a catback exhaust.. If you dont mind me asking did you get the full catback from mines? if so how much did it run you all together?
@Driven4Rush Nah, I bought it used. I'm sure new would be around 2k though. I'm not sure what you mean by full catback? The exhaust is a catback and nothing more, nothing less.
if you could choose between the mine's, hks or greddy which would u go with? I like the mine's because it sounds like a legit race car plus it looks like one of the straightest pipes. I tried looking for the video but couldn't find it on your page.
@Driven4Rush All of these exhausts will sound the same since they are pretty much straight pipe and muffler without resonators. The Evo isn't like an NSX where you could literally have different configurations of exhausts that changes the note of the car. I'm biased, so I would say Mine's. The craftsmanship is amazing. Here's the vid of me driving in car: youtube.com/watch?v=IhdS0h8P2rA
Thanks for the info man. yeah I've seen this kit go for alittle over 2k and I think it's only for a cat back system. I was shocked by the price considering greddy and hks both have a TI system that less then 1k but you get what you pay for lol. I'm getting a price from vividracing tomorrow. I'm either getting this or the buscher racing TBE with magnaflow, I like the sound of the mines better from what I've seen on the R34's
@Driven4Rush No problem. The Mine's is indeed only a catback. No FULL titanium exhaust will go for less than 1k new. Last I checked (a while ago lol), the Greddy titanium exhaust was in the 1400-1600 range new unless you were buying it at cost or something. I think the HKS Kansai Ti exhaust was around $1800 new when it was still for sale.
Hey man needless to say your car looks sick. I also have an Evo ix mr SE, I'm currently on the market for a new exhaust and I came across your page and I've very interested in your mines exhaust and if you could give me some info on what package ,price, how you like/dislike power gains and weight would be great. btw do you have any more vids on you reving or driving? Thanks man I appreciate it.
@Driven4Rush Its the Mine's VX Silence Pro Titan exhaust in 80mm. These should run a little over $2000 new. I think the whole exhaust was under 12lbs when I weighed it, but that was a while ago so I can't be sure. Power gains should be on track with any exhaust devoid of any resonators, so the only real benefit is the weight. If you're a baller on a budget, this is not the exhaust for you. If you don't mind spending several thousand for an exhaust, then this is one of the best.
hey! whats your tire size? and rims? im planning to get voltex rear fenders cuz my stock fenders are rubbing against my tires...and i already rolled my fenders... -___-"
@MrRhythmatic 265/35/18 Nitto NT05s for daily driving. Rims are 18x10.5 +18 with very large spacers all around. If you're planning on running the regular Voltex widebody, your wheels will be just about flush with an 18x10.5 +18 wheel, although I'm not sure if you can run 285s with that type of fitment. With the cyber edition like I have, you will need something more like 18x10.5 -30 (yes, minus).
I know those are the VOLTEX wide fenders but yours have an extra over fender. Where did you get that. Does voltex make those fenders complete with it already on or do you have to buy it separate?
I know those are the VOLTEX wide fenders but yours have an extra over fender. Where did you get that. Does voltex make those fenders complete with it already on or do you have to buy it sepereate?
@alexwastheone Those are the Voltex cyber fenders. I bought mine from DriveLine Motoring. You can buy the pieces separately, but I'm not sure if the front fender is a separate piece since mine was one piece. You will need custom wheels or run extremely large spacers with this setup. You will also need the Cyber bumper ($6000) or cut the hell out of whatever bumper you have (irreversibly). You'll also have to cut the Voltex front fenders and sideskirts to clear your tires.
@alexwastheone Go ahead and message me on evom. Typing it out is much easier as there is a LOT of stuff to do/buy/cut/etc if you want to run the Voltex cyber widebody.
hey dude! Im just gunna assume that you have an evo 9 mr....lol! (i hope im right, cuz i see the MR badge on the trunk) so you have a Mivec engine....
Its illegal loud (in CA) and drones like no other at 65mph in 5th gear. And I'm not even running a test pipe. Its a little annoying at times, so much that I want to get rid of my Mine's exhaust for a silent one such as the Fujitsubo RM01A.
i have greddy Ti as well, i think you being without a test pipe should be a lot quieter.. but not sure it would still drones for you.. i went from rm01a to greddy ti.. now thinking about going back or put on apexi active silencer..
The sound is already extremely clear, just low volume haha. Its a $150 mic I'm using to record. I'll get driving videos from inside as well as outside when I can find someone who actually knows how to use a 5D MKII.
