  • Rooney Mara was brilliant. Fincher's film made the Swedish adaptations look 'Murder She Wrote' or like some BBC TV mini-series like The Bill or Miss fucking Marple.

  • Hi! Hi!

Looks like that will be the new hello soon!

  • I Wish This Was Her Normal/ Usual Look And Personality. I Love Lizbeth, Rooney Truly Did Well.

  • i know larssons books and i think mara did a very good job in finchers adaption of the first one

  • PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE SONG IS

  • @asdfghjklqwedrftyui Animus Vox - Glitch Mob

  • Rooney also has an interesting face, like Noomi. I think Rooney's face is more boy-ish. Also cool :), they cast her good.

  • WTG! hell yes :)

  • Can't wait for the other two movies.

  • LOL!!! I love it! XD

  • shes so hot

  • Every girl on this planet wish she could be or at least have the half of lisbeth's guts

  • @HaleLightning And half the guys,too.

  • i like the music. track id please?

  • That was a badass video. Rooney was really awesome as Lisbeth.

  • She deserves that Oscar

  • Awesome tribute to an awesome character!

  • wicked editing

  • does anyone know which song they used in the club scene? thx

  • i'm so fcking in love with her character, and not because she takes off her clothes, lisbeth is so f***ing gorgeous i can't believe it!!!!

  • she´s amazing

  • I haven't seen this movie yet, need to read the book first, than watch the Swedish version, than this one. :P but I have to say she looks bad ass, and a little hot...

  • noomi rapace is the only one lisbeth salander and always will be!

  • -I thought you'd need to look over these?

    -I got it.

of couuuurse you did got it your a genius salander!

  • Rooney Mara rocks

  • Noomi Rapace pisses on this girl. I can't believe SHE would get an Oscar while Rapace came out empty-handed. Well, Hollywood I guess.

  • @nbvw3 um first of all she did get an award in Sweden which is equivalent to an Oscar in the US! and second of all I think Rooney Mara's Lisbeth was much better and alot more intense than Noomi rapace. I watched both movies and was feeling the 2 hours with the Swedish version. She is a good actress but as Lisbeth she didn't really sell it for me

  • @jazzytwin2 Actually there were three films in that series. The first one was reasonably "self-contained", but the other two were sort of one, really.

  • @jazzytwin2 I agree 100% they were both good but Rooney Mara was sooo much better

  • @nbvw3 I've seen both of them and Rooney SMOKES Rapace by a lot. Repace doesnt sell the roll...also Oscars are pretty much for American made movies...duh

  • @nbvw3 she won the oscar of her country and dont hate on her she also did a good job but like you i prefer Noomi much better

  • Loved her performance!!! Watched it twice n reading the book now. I just LOVE her character....

  • 0:27 rape scene?

  • Well done Rooney!

    A truly deserved Oscar nomination....

  • @laylaxx Totally agree laylaxx!!!!

  • ROONEY MARA NOMINATED FOR AN OSCAR WOO-HOOOOOOOOOO!

  • That loser reporter lied to her and dumped her at the end

  • She's what? The black haired Ellen degeneres?

  • @Rock3r66 How can you even make the comparison with Ellen Degeneres ?? Because she likes girls and makes love with one in the movie ? So, all the lesbians in the world are Ellen Degeneres ? Ellen is Ellen, and she's a lesbian and famous because of that, she was the first to come out publicly, but Lisbeth Salander is Lisbeth, she happens to like girls (and boys) as well, but I don't see the resemblance. If you see Ellen Degeneres every time a girl kiss another girl, your vision is quite narrow...

  • is it wrong that I totally have a girl crush on Rooney's Lisbeth lol!

  • Aaaaaah!!! Just perfect

  • Which song did you use?

  • @jesusfreak1159

    The Glitch Mob-Animus Vox

  • Roonbeth Marlander!! :)

  • AWESOME VIDEO ONE OF MY FAVE ROONEY MARA LISBETH VIDS LOVE IT AND THE MUSIC IS FLIPPIN PERFECT!

  • This is one of the best video and music compliation from a movie that I've ever seen. Fantastic job!

  • @joeyjoejoeshabadu08

Thank you :) dont know what to say

  • im sure that if you ever imagined lisbet while you were reading the books, you never imagined her face like this, don't you? but ok, her look is not so important as here psihical caracthers. now her attitude - like i already mentioned, her expressions, after i read you critics about my opinion, i tought, maybe i was too criticaql, and i've watched it again, very very carefully. and no, i can't see that crazy expression in her eyes. i swear that my look looks wilder. i have

  • I really wanna see that fucking awesome movie !

  • SHE'S SO HOT

  • LOVE this Vid!!! The music is freakin perfect! Good JOB!!!

  • @TKitschlover

Thank you, means a lot x

  • @laylaxx Ur welc! This vid is in my faves...I've watched it like a million times cuz it's sooo freakin' badass! Love Lisbeth, Rooney, and that song! It's bangin'!!!!

  • Rooney Mara nailed this.. just fuckin NAILED Lisbeth Salander. love her!

  • @oxobrazilianqtoxo yeah she's a badass biotch lol! seen the movie twice and want to see it again!

  • der alte film ist 100 mal besser gemacht

  • Comment removed

  • havent seen the movie yet nor the swedish version. but i am sure rooney mara is stunning. this short clip shows it.

  • cool vid!

  • omg i want her to win an award for this...at least a golden globe!

  • I think I'm going to see this this week. She's got a LOT to live up to after Noomi Rapace...

  • @gruenefee9 Noomi Rapace was way too pretty to play Lisbeth. Rooney Mara is just as beautiful but it's not as obvious and more unique. I can't wait to see the film. I think it will be great.

  • @rachelbagnetto I dunno, I thought they got her look pretty spot-on with Noomi. But I'll definitely see this and try to keep an open mind. I hear Rooney Mara does a fantastic job, so I'll try to be fair in my assessment. Also...maaaybe I have a bit of a crush on Noomi...esp. when she speaks Swedish. Super hott! :D

  • @rachelbagnetto Yup...liked the Swedish version better...but will happily admit that Rooney Mara did a very good job.

  • @gruenefee9

i agree, but rooney is not good at all, either the noomi, but noomi at least looks better, lisbeth doesn't have to look like fucking ugly ghost, without eyebrows and all that shits. hollywood destroyed the book and characthers, only thing i like is craig as bloomkvist.

  • @lakylik11 dude have you read the book thats how shes supposed to look

  • @anessone

yes dude, i've read all the books at least twenty times,i'm crazy about them for real, and im just not glad with her. she doesnt'l look like a witch so much, and rooney doesnt't have that crazy look, or misterious look like lisbeth should have, she doesn't makes her pauses in speaking, it's simply too relaxed.. you understand what i'm talking? :)

  • @vivianeremm well remember everyone that looks at salander always has this thought ''what a quiet bitch'' like strangers arent threatened by her appearance they think shes weak as shit. since shes barely 5 feet and anorexic looking.

  • @anessone i totally agree with you they nailed the look with Rooney!

  • @lakylik11 and the only thing the hollywood version changed from the book was the resolution a bit probably because of time. but they still had the tone right and scene by scene it was by the book

  • @anessone

so? everyone can make a movie by scenes from the books, that doesn't has to mean that it looks good, that is anyway their obligation because they are making that movies by that book, and the point is to show everything how it has to be, or don't even try it. they made her bad, her acting is maybe good, if she is acting some emo girl, but not if she acts lisbeth. you read the book too, read it again and you'll understand what i mean.

  • @vivianeremm she doesnt act emo in the movie she acts introverted. quiet. how shes supposed to be. also remember the type of clothes and her style which was emo punkish type of look. you say she is emo because she does just have the regular face there but thats how lisbeth is. she doesnt show any emotion not gonna let you see it. her face always seemed to have just one note.

  • @anessone

no, i didnt't said that lisbeth is supposed to be emo, i said that this looks more like emo with her attitude. look, do you remember of lisbeths's wild look in the eyes when she is attacking or is angry? her speed like reptil? her pauses in talking, her sometimes funny thinking, her coldness and rezervation with mikael, her offesnive moves, and lot of more. and i don't see none of that in rooney mara.

  • @vivianeremm she seemed offensive when she talked to people such as never looking them in the eyes and just not listening to what they say. and also her lighting speed reflexes. they dont really have much of a chance to show that since she didnt get into a fight in the book well in the first book. there were no situations where her speed were supposed to be used even though id argue that she used those when her purse was being stolen and when she was riding her bike

  • @vivianeremm and in my opinion i did see lightning in her eyes when she revisited bjurman in the elevator. she scared the hell out of me there.

  • @vivianeremm even though i dont really remember her having pauses in talking.

  • @anessone

well that's strange because i've seen a few scenes where she was supposed to be fast.. YOU DON'T REMEMBER HER PAUSES IN TALKING? are we talking about lisbeth? helo, that's something you can't miss about her in the books. everyone described her like a silente person, and there is much of parts when she pauses because she is thinking, she's reserved or just don't want to answer.. and i'm also sure that nowhere writes that she has to have white eyebrows.. wrong wrong wrong.

  • @vivianeremm well her pauses in talking cant always transfer well when you make the character actually come alive on screen and you can always sense her being quiet in many scenes such as when bjurman first talks to her. i mean its a movie you have to get the plot moving she cant go half the movie goin ''i should go...... to do that and... then'' its a waste of time so what they did is made her think what she was gonna say first pretty fast and then talk confidently.

  • @vivianeremm the movie mostly went into perspective of mikael and lisbeth's so thats why she has more of a talking role. if they wanted to define her more of being silent then theyd have to make the point of view to her boss but thats kinda a waste of time.

  • @vivianeremm what now man are you gonna complain that she has this amount of strands of hair and that it should be less i mean where does it end. some things in writing and transfer well to visual and just because they mess her eyebrows a bit doesnt make them destroy the character at all whatsover. and its never written that she has to have these type of eyebrows

  • @vivianeremm your complaints make no sense man like its like with harry potter the book never said that they have you know formal clothes like a private school but did that really hurt the movies. that bit no.

  • @anessone

i can't belive it, so you are really telling me that all this is actually good, and that she is great like lisbeth?? well, i wish i've never watched the movie, great story of stieg larsson is ruined. it'sn not just about eyebrows, it's about everything, it's just not hiw is supposed to be. i understand you if you are telling all this because you personally like rooney and you don't want to be objective, but if you are telling that like a fan of a books, don't say it anymore.

  • @vivianeremm im still gonna say it why is it a crime for the actress not to have pauses in the middle of her sentences. is it really a crime that they made it where she thinks for a few seconds before she answers and then doesnt have to pause. is that a huge gap. and i love the books and i like the movie they did a nice job. im a fan of the books and i approve the movie. oh and if you ever suspect a movie to be just as good as the books or 100 percent the same. well then your an

  • @vivianeremm idiot

  • @vivianeremm the way the dialogue was written in the movie was very flowing to where she didnt really need to pause that much but they just did what i said she paused before she spoke and then went on but she of course didnt pause in the middle. but i can tell what they are trying to accomplish. but dude your one of those guys who well seem to me like dont ever see the movies of any book that you like. cause i bet you that if steig larsson wrote the script or directed it or consult

  • @anessone

and it makes you an idiot, not me.

  • @vivianeremm you still wouldnt like it because he would have a way of how the dialogue would flow or do something where it isnt an exact copy of the book.

  • @anessone

oh you stuck with that pauses, i mentioned that just for an example. that's just one in the sea of mistakes, i understand if they can't make everything by the book, but in that case they should change everything or give more try. and don't you dare to call me an idiot, just because i'm right, you obviusely want like this movie so hard that you don't want see the mistakes, or i don't know. but if you really read the books carefully, you would never say that.

  • @vivianeremm i am reading the books carefully and its a pretty good adaption. i admit its not perfect. but in my eyes they didnt really destroy the character. or any other character i liked how martin and henrik vanger were portrayed the atmosphere of the movie was good. didnt really mess up erika berger but again the movie only followed mikael and lisbeth's perspective. kinda sucks how they changed the resolution but they didnt really destroy it in my eyes.

  • @anessone

well ok, some parts are ok, but they are ok in sweedish films too. they maked good atmosphere too and all that with hedestad can stay. i'm talking about lisbeth, sweedish noomi was way much better, but not perfect.. i just mean that they could find better actress, and make some scenes from the book wich they skiped. so what if the movie could last longer? alexander the makedonia lasts more than 3 hours. if i was the scenarist i would do it, no matter how long it would taked.

  • @vivianeremm yeah i think they shouldve filmed it like uh pulp fiction mode. like since the book goes to his and then her perspectives such as erikas and dragan ' perspective because one of my favorite parts of the book is when she told her boss ''your an idiot'' so pulp fiction where it like shows the characters first in other peoples perspectives and then on the main characters. but then the book can do what a film cant do and thats go into thoughts unless every character narrated

  • @vivianeremm tough book to film

  • @anessone

And Lisbeth could be way much better, she is the main character, they should pay more attention and time for choosing an actress, and not be so in rush to earn some millions with so famous adaption. " So what if it's not qualitate, people will watch it anyway, who cares about details. " Yeah.

  • @vivianeremm well they spent two months with the audition process with that specific actress and i dont know man make your own if your a girl make your own video or have a lady friend act her out. because like well my question is how would you correct her performance. because i liked how she was silent and just had expressionless eyes since thats also a set of eyes that lisbeth has in the book. and when rooney got her revenge thats when i saw the eye of the tiger in her

  • @vivianeremm because your acting as if rooney mara just like was laughing during the whole film and wore sunny clothing

  • @anessone

and her moves, her speaking, everything, look i have problems with net, i will continue tomorrow. you can think about my words until that. :)

  • @vivianeremm and if you tried to film from page 1 to 500 something the movie would be like near 4 hours maybe. too much content.

  • @anessone

Of course i didn't meaned WHOLE book really, just some important scenes wich they missed. And whole film is so dark, you can varely see what is around. And i don't want to write novels here, i'm just gonna say the facts again... Rooney is totally wrong choice for this. Thousands of real fans of books means that. And Fincher maked s many mistakes and missings.Only things wich are ok is Craig as Bloomkvist and Visnjic like Armansky. They totally fit on this parts.

  • @vivianeremm I totally and completely disagree with you I loved rooney I thought her performance was phenomenal so much better than noomi rapace i actually felt the 2 hours while i was watching the swedish version and my sister fell asleep the swedish version was whack it left out more than David fincher's version. Rooney pulled off Lisbeth the way she should have been done that's my opinion and i'm sticking to it!

  • @jazzytwin2

    how old are you??

  • @vivianeremm i am 27 years old why does that matter to you? how old are you?

  • @jazzytwin2

well i'm just asking because your opinions are more like you are 12. look, i've read all three books at least 20 times. i know what i'm telling, and after reading all this compliments to rooney, i've watched the film twice again,VERY VERY CAREFULLY, wondering did i maked a mistake, and you know what? she sucks like lisbeth. i'm sorry if i am nasty, but it's the fact.

  • @vivianeremm its not fact dude its your OPINION. i think she did good and ive read the trilogyh multuiple times. i think that she makes more of an impression in the book since stieg tells you her thoughts and of course you can go all 360 degrees with a character in book form. the actress chose to play lisbeth as not looking them in the eye much not caring i mean every time someone looks at her in the book they think ''what is she retarted''.

  • @vivianeremm she really made it look like you didnt know what she was plotting and thinking. she made it look like the outsider's point of view kinda. if you get what i mean

  • @vivianeremm Okay vivian first of all you have some nerve telling me that I sound like a 12 year old when you can't even write properly! Okay we all get it you hated David fincher's version of the movie and apparently you hated Rooney Mara as Lisbeth you are entitled to your opinion as am I. If you don't have anything nice to say then stop coming on this page and making comments this is purely for people who enjoyed the movie if you have the money to make a better movie go for it otherwise STB!

  • @jazzytwin2

hahahah. first of all my dear, i am not english, i'm from totally other country, so my writing is pretty good considering that fact, and what's about the facts, i can bring ypu comments from thousands of peoples from some millenium forums wich will agree with me. and i don't think that i insulted you with 12 years opinion because it's obevius that you like rooney as a girl or whatever, and for that you like her as lisbeth.

  • @jazzytwin2

and i have much nice things to say about the books and characters, but not about her. and i think that i have fully rigt to be pissed because they destroyed everything with her. our OPINIONS are not the same, ok, you have rigt to like her, and i to dislike her. and i dislike her badly. aaand i still don't understand, if you really liked and understood the books, how the hell you can be delighted with her acting.

  • @vivianeremm

    Vivianeremn

Mara is as close to Lisbeth as you can get, watching her is like watching Lisbeth walk off the page.

  • @laylaxx AMEN I totally agree with you!

  • @vivianeremm Yes I do like Rooney Mara as a person but more importantly I like her as an actress because I really thought she did a great job bringing Lisbeth to life because for me when i watch an actor or actress I want to be able to see the character and not them she did that for me.

  • @vivianeremm I never once felt I was just watching Rooney Mara attempt to be Lisbeth. I do like and understand the books very much so yes I am VERY DELIGHTED with her acting. My final questions and I do mean final because after this I am done talking to you because you are extremely rude! Did you like Noomi Rapace in the swedish version because obviously you do and if not who did you want as Lisbeth? it seems to me there is no pleasing you at all in this matter!

  • @jazzytwin2

i'm not rude, and i agree in one thing with you, there is no sense waisting time for stupid things. what's about noomi rapace, she isn't great, either isn't good, but her acting can stay, while rooney's not. and yes, i see on your chanel that you like rooney very much, so there is nothing to talk about. i still think that you are not objective, but your problem. rooney is fantastic, and i said all this because i hate her, yeah, really. but, continue with adoring her.

  • @vivianeremm you probably wanted a more mad lisbeth like how noomi played her but with a bit more quietness and weirdness. you didnt like how the actress rooney mara even though she did good tried to portray the damaged silent calm and weak part. but thats how i always envisioned her when i read the books she was not trying to stir up trouble very quiet in a way if i first saw her id think she was emo and a stick up her ass and all that on my first impression

  • @vivianeremm you probably wanted her to take a more active role in talking or showing expressions or just showing something but rooney wanted to portray her as cool cunning quiet ''boring'' person. and you were thinking ''the fuck man she is more than that''

  • @anessone

aaa thank you for trying to understand me.. but it's not about just silence or madness..it's a bit of everything,,i already told you before..and i'm sorry if i was agressive. i just expected more, i'm crazy about that books and lisbeth, and i didn't imagined her like this. no hard feelings? :)

  • @vivianeremm now with noomi rapace i agree that she did very good as well. even though sometimes i thought ''would you really be pissed off right now at this time? really?'' but then again noomi rapace focused more on her outward outbursts of madness and craziness while rooney was way more inward. now imagine if rooney's lisbeth the director decided to have her narrate. i bet youd like her more since then you can tell that under all the ''boring'' face she is thinking ''you ashole!

  • @vivianeremm and no hard feelings you can have your opinions. except for the one we are discussing right now though. jk :)

  • @anessone

    hahhaha it's a deal :P

  • @jazzytwin2

i will just read the books, enjoy in real lisbeth and try to forget this horrible.

  • @vivianeremm STB= Stop The Bitching and oh by the way once again that's my opinion and I am sticking to it ( I hope my "12" year old comments aren't too difficult for you to read) and that last comment where you say it's fact it is not! that is what we like to call an opinion because that's what you not liking Rooney is. If all this bashing makes you feel better more power to you but alot of work went into that film and Rooney worked her ass off!

  • @lakylik11 um you need to re-read your book her look is exactly right and her dragon tat is in the right place noomi rapaces was way to big and ugly it doesn't go straight down the middle of her back!

  • ill flip out if she doesnt get nod for best actress oscar

  • @takanoritoriyama she did. and we now shud flip out if she doesnt won one

  • She so deserves an oscar for this performance. She didnt even have to speak, her facial expressions or lack there of sent chills down my spine!

  • if you touch me I'll more than alarm you HAHAHA badass!!! XD

  • My god she's attractive....

  • Me gusta mas Mara rooney ke Noomi sorry........

  • Amazing video. Can`t wait to see the film.

  • God bless you for this tribute !

  • god i love her. And now shes gonna be famous!!! Someone made my birthday wish come true!

  • The best performance by a female actor in 2012 - Sure to win the Golden Globe for best performance Drama *The breakout performance of a future *Star*

  • This movie is the first part of the the trilogy and she is still naive and learning the ropes while at the same time improving and maturing...as in this very sensitive and alarming scene where her supposedly adult guardian taking advantage of her must have triggered her to become stronger and meaner in order to survive in the society...!

  • although she may have her dark sides...so as just the rest of us. You gotta understand her standpoint that since she was about 10 years old, she's been on her own and taking care of herself...

  • I don't think that Rooney Mara's role as Lisbeth can be best described as "wicked"..."twisted" and "a little badass" perhaps would be more appropiate, but not "complete badass"...!

  • I'd fuck

  • Rooney will be just as badass as Noomi was

  • btw whats the song title? :P

  • @KMDmoonwalker

    The Glitch Mob-Animus vox

  • i think rooney mara will be an excellent Lisbeth, people need to just give her a chance :)

  • @KMDmoonwalker I'm cosplaying for the film's release date but since I have no intention of cutting my hair or piercing my face, I'm creating a mixture of Noomi's version and Rooney's with fake piercings and my own hair

  • @TheNextAvrilLavigne haha i wanted to cosplay too :P i'm so exited for this movie to come, i read the book it's amazing

  • @KMDmoonwalker best part is no annoying subtitles, that's why i didn't see the original film
