How do you play, for example 4 diagonal dashes in common time with Ami7(b5) above the measure my guess is they're chords but I can't find any helpful things on the internet about bass chords
@TommyThe DioFan1. Hi. It may be true that the Bass may be easier to get a sound out of if you only play it in it's most rudimentary form using Root notes, however it's as hard to master as any other instrument
I've learning to read The ==d== notes from playing piano, but do I need to learn the 3-0-2 notes? I don't understand them, can someone explain? Or post a link?
i need to learn how to read sheet music in order to try out for my jazz band at school i can play pretty well and i can read tabs and play by ear just fine i just cant read this stuff haha
This really helped me. I used to play the fife so the sheet music was different than the bass. I got the bass guitar and I didn't know how to read its sheet music until mow. Even though it's a sample, it helped me out a bit.
Question?" Is the notation of the Bass Guitar written a whole octave higher than it really is, Like the Guitar on G Clef is really Written an Octave higher?
i guess some ppl dont know the purpose of this video. this was to show how the lessons would look like if we get the DVD and and im satisfied. im considering buying it. lol i wonder if anyone was thinking they can learn everything in about 4 min.
the best thing i can tell that will help is learn music theory in general. i just started playing bass guitar but i know music theory so i understand it well, start off with learning how to read sheet music after that learn sharps and flats then learn what a chromatic is.. after you know all this youll learn bass in 3 weeks

What are chromatics? I've been trying to find a site/video that explains it and I;ve failed doing so. Could you explain it to me?
MewPudding2006 2 years ago
Every note in the musical alphabet. A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G# A. Also known as the half step scale, 1 fret distance between notes.
msternal 2 years ago
@msternal yeah, ur 100% right. thats why they call it the chromatic tuner
