  • SQUAK I'm just glad it had a collar and a bell, at least we know the big cat is domesticated SQUAK

  • This clip is 100% more honest than the rest of the Big-Cat footage on this site, the rest is fake, poor camerawork, out of focus,no scale etc,why cant all clips be as well focused as yours.

  • You've stimulated some discussion with this video and that's a good thing.

I can offer a story from the other perspective. My brother-in-law lives in a remote location and throws food scraps out for the foxes. One night he went out with some chicken scraps, shone his torch around and saw a pair of cats eyes. Thinking it was a stray he slowly approached it and threw scraps towards it while talking to it gently. When he was close enough he realised it was a big cat. Cue hasty retreat.

  • Anyone who saw this video and could not make reasonable scale of this cat I can understand but what should have tipped this off is that nobody is stupid enough to stand with a camera as a large predatory cat is coming their way. Again this is cute and it does show that some sightings could be explained away as optical illusions but it does not show that all these sightings can be seen as such. Far too many sightings for that to be the case. Plus non black cats would look large as well sometimes.

  • @CaptainMarvel1982

Hey please don't miss understand me , I thought your comments where particularly intellegent and resonable , ( in England we often use irony to express the opposite of a statement, maybe a bit of cultural difference) and didn't think you where flaming me, I was refering to some of the one word abusive comments made. If you read my comment you will see I think there are big cats in the UK, but this was meant to be light hearted. :)

  • @calooom1 It was a fun video. Thanks for sharing it.

  • This video on it's face is cute but let's not assume all people are so dense that every time they think they see a large black cat all they are really seeing is a small sweet little black domesticated pussy cat. How many black pussy cats does the UK have? They are all over the UK and are the only little domesticated cats seen and other pussy cats are not large? Caloom this is cute but in an attempt to solve this mystery you ultimately failed. I will chalk this up to a fun video and nothing more.

  • Clever camera work, well done!

  • People are rarely unbiased in their research. They are looking for what they expect and even sometimes when there is no evidence to support the belief or disbelief they will swear their opinion is definitive proof. The thing in common with both experts and most cryptozoological creature beliefs is that neither side can prove the other wrong many times. Sometimes things can not be explained. Why can't both sides just state that they don't know? Let us continue the unbiased search for answers.

  • @CaptainMarvel1982 Are you sure the internet is the right place for intellegent and rational debate. Personally I believe there are in all probability large cats living in the UK. People will always search out evidence that agrees with their world view and dismiss anything that disagrees with it. Some of the comments seem to reflect this (quite agressively at times), and show how even posibly reasonable people loose there sense of homour along with their critical thinking.

  • @calooom1 Actually caloom the internet is a place where many people discuss and have intelligent and rational debate. There are a shit load of people on line and they can discuss many different things with many people that they can only meet online.

As far as your world view I have no problem with it but what you are trying to do is prove a shit load of eye witness accounts are all explained away with an optical illusion. If that were true this case would be closed. Nothing more said

  • @CaptainMarvel1982

I will now stand back to be flamed somemore :S although there are some very nice people comment who enter the spirit of the thing.

  • @calooom1 Are you really that dense? That was a flame? Nothing I said before was flaming you. It was simply comments to open you and anyone else to set aside your preconceived notions and give a fair minded look at all things unexplained. People think that all things are explained and therefore in their attempt at doing so they really do not solve a thing. What you did was cute and funny and I can laugh at that but if what you were doing was an attempt to discredit others it failed.

  • I will not say that large black wild cats are roaming throughout the UK but I will not pass all the sightings off on peoples imaginations either. Some of the videos are quite compelling and to straight away say they are all domesticated black pussy cats is wrong. We do not know for sure experts without definitive proof of their skepticism are correct. Experts thought the world was flat. Guess what? We now know the EXPERTS were wrong. Science is imperfect just as witnesses are imperfect.

  • I am sorry this was no optical illusion for me. I knew almost from the beginning the scale and size of your LITTLE kitty. Just because as of yet there has been no definitive proof of large predatory cats in your part of the world does not mean they do not exist. People on either side see what they want to see. It is all speculative either way till there is substantial and definitive proof videos are false or true. Some videos can not be proven or disproved. Chalk it up to us all saying IDK.

  • Has anyone heard about sightings of abnormally large squirrels, hedgehogs, foxes etc.?

Can anyone explain why there are so many abnormally large black cat sightings compared to the number of abnormally large squirrels, hedgehogs, foxes etc. reported?

We've all seen optical illusions and experienced uncertainty regarding scale. We have black squirrels, if it's the colour, where are the reports of abnormally large black squirrels?

Can anyone make a clever point regarding this issue?

  • @underterraingrunter Thank you for this. A very intelligent and perfect response to many narrow minded people who can not see this fact or all the other facts that this is as of yet an unsolved mystery. I do not know that there are large black cats in the UK but I also have seen nothing definitive to discredit eye witness accounts. If anything the videos of eye witnesses seems to point more in the direction of these cats existing.

  • git!!!

  • cute it looks just like my cat

  • Lol i thought that was a real MONSTER

  • A very smalll 'Big Cat' lol luv it...

  • And she's not even a big small cat

  • This is just SO cute!

  • Thanks, she is

  • i was sitting thre shitting my self then i go AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWH

  • :)

  • :)

  • Absolutely pathetic that you try and mislead people like this. Unfunny, peurile and downright irritating are the words that best describe this video.

  • @atticana The video is very clever and makes a great point - that objects that could look mysterious due to camera angles combined with the human imagination can have the simplest of explanations.

  • @atticana I agree it is extremely immature to post a video such as this with the title we see. The 15 stone Londoner Anthony Holder who was knocked to the ground by a large black cat wasn't the victim of an optical illusion. The numerous police, farmers, gamekeepers etc. who've sighted these animals are in my opinion being insulted by this ridiculous video.

  • DAT WAZ PROPR BIG !

  • what a doosch!!

  • Omg you have a cat that can shift sizes :D

  • it just shows how without perspective at a distance a normal mog can pass for a big cat

  • OMG, how the hell didn't the panther eat you! You are one lucky man I tell you!

  • I was like omg it's getting closer, run!!!!!!!!! then i saw the kitty...lol!

  • @princesstomboy Yeah...run from a panther lol see how far you get...about....half a metre?

  • I was on the edge of my seat!...then laughed like f**k !!!!

  • @Torkgasmicgirl8

Thanks for that, glad you have a sense of humour :)

  • have you not got anything better to do with your life ???

ps...big cats are fact in the UK !

  • @dryzonemexico Hmm so they say! Yet to see some real genuine footage! They must be just the odd escaped one from collections etc. I keep hearing there are big cats around for years and years but yet to see any real legit evidence.

  • Good job that bell didn't fall on your foot!

  • nice demo. i was bout to slate it fake, y would u film that etc. lol turned out you faked me out.

  • Lol just goes to show how people can get domestic cats confused with a panther sighting in the UK

  • @FSVISUAL Yes every single sighting is from a large population of small domesticated cats throughout the UK. I could see cats of other colors and the such but for all these sightings to simply be black domesticated cats is preposterous. Plus a great many of your sheep and deer are being killed in the way a large feline would do so. Explain the fact that the necks of animals show bite wounds matching the types caused by large cats. Skeptics always deny and have an easy explanation.

  • Ha! You have balls of steel, that thing looked dangerous!

  • Cheers, I took all the normal precautions, stayed up wind, made no sudden moves etc, and fortunately I survived the encounter.
