The tab I used for this was the one from ultimate-guitar. The only part I changed was the chorus, which sounds better than the tab, but still isn't 100% correct unfortunately :(

This song is in D standard, not E. The lead part can be played in E and it sounds okay, but the rhythm part is definitely in D tuning.

You know, you're probably right. It doesn't make sense for their other albums to be in D and this one in E. I just learned it from the tab, which was tabbed in E standard. Sounds good though

nice cover dude. really pisses me off that this album is tuned to e standard - makes no sense. you handle the first riff (after the lead during the intro) really well, its deceptively fast. I think your approach of alternate picking is much easier than trying to hetfield it, which is what i was doing.

Also - play bereavement next, its a fun song to play. easily better than mortal share.

Thanks :) The tone is made from my POD 2.0, just tweaking with it over the years I've had it. I'm really happy with it too, I just need to get the POD footboard so I can switch between clean and distorted tones. How's the Calgary weather treating you? Vancouver here ;)
