  • -tilts head- how did connect to a dbz amv...

and did he say pebic as in pebic hair?oh and liked the video

  • that shit look creepy

  • why didn't i find this channel before. You are awesome. You go in lots of detail. thank you, i appreciate it:)

  • Very funny comments. Especially when you mention that your proportions are 10 heads...

  • You explain that you are using heads, but the first thing you do after the first head is draw a line for the figure to follow, but dont really explain what it is for, then after drawing 7 heads for normal human proportion, you end up drawing mickey mouse, so we don't really get to see (though it would probably be in another of your videos) how to go from the heads to the human actual form.

  • I want you to draw a naked girl

  • Vote up if you see a huge boob. :)

  • This is awesome!!! It explained a lot, that teachers don't teach me...wow.

    Great vid! And Mickey FtW!!

  • @Shinozka

  • PUBIC ARCH

  • you are so full of yourself

  • It seems like 7 heads in the beginning, not 71/2... am I wrong?

  • @jklolbrbjk There are 7 1/2, the half head is before the knee.

  • you rock!!! There are three videos that work best for this, they are:

Secret Drawing Technique Revealed: Perfect Proportion Every Time.

Drawing Secrets Revealed: How To Draw Proportion

How To Draw The Nose and Features

  • IT'S PIKACHU

  • 1:02 I started laughing when he mentioned the two & a half heads. I'm taking a Life Drawing class, but I need 2 get better w/ proportions & values ='(

  • Hey, try the pose challange on my channel. A figure in 90 seconds, it's fun.

  • omg! it's goofy!

    lol

  • @Keemera Disney Identification Fail? hahah

  • @Keemera No that would be Mickey... you weren't a 90's kid were you?

  • @Krondelo it was pretty clear to me that i was being sarcastic, see the lol at the end? ^_-

  • @Keemera oh, I really didn't think you were being sarcastic. Anywho, I'm glad you know the difference. lol

  • Your such a art nerd

like me : ) but better

  • i really enjoy these videos, kinda sucks though cause it makes me feel unaccomplished as an artist :(

  • just practice, practice, practice. i promise practice really helps, i would know because (not to brag or anything) im a high school student, and i draw better that alot of college and even proffesional artists. trust me, my sister was always so much better than me, and i wanted to give up. get a sketchbook, and just keep on practicing cause its the only way you'll get even better than you already are :)

  • i just graduated high school actually, but i dont know it just feels like theres always something to improve apon, and yeah ive been through many sketchbooks, its rough, but yeah, you are right there is a ton of practice involved

  • @sobekflakmonkey - your profile says - interests: beer, pizza, video games. Just sayin : )

  • @mudprimitive Yeah....lol

  • Great tutorial... however?

You say a human figure is 7.5 heads tall..

(1 for the head from the start)

    1 head down to sternum

    1 head down to naval

1 head down to pubic arch

    1.5 to the knee

1.5 to the bottom of the foot.

    That's 7, not 7 and a half. =P

  • Ideal or classical male figure is 8 heads tall and about 2 and 1/3 or 1/2 wide at the shoulders. Break down of height is;

    8-7 cranium - chin,

7-6 chin - bottom of chest,

    6-5 chest - naval,

    5-4 naval - pubic bone,

4-3-2 gets you to the bottom of knee

2-1-0 bottom of knee to the floor.

Normal/average guy is 7.5 (shorter in the legs) superhero is 9.

  • lol, awesome!!! , worked for disney while back??

  • thank you, i never remember how many heads people are meant to be, i always make it look too small ^-^

  • Nice way of putting it!

  • thank you that was so helpful, i was struggling on human proportions and i looked up this video and i can make my drawings pretty proportionate now

  • hehe he said pubic arch

  • your really informative.. but funny too! I like this video. I'm trying to learn how to do figure drawing myself, as all I mostly can do is "xerox eye drawing" I can draw what I see haha.. anyways, i'm checking out the rest of your vids!

  • your videos are not just very useful, but funny and entertaining.

your voice sounds a bit like pixar's john lasseter :)
