randy moved to costa rica in season 8 episode 2 "adios" where him and his girlfriend joined a peace group that help's our country in need; he went after his girlfriend did because he was on the waiting list that some other student took his spot! later on in the episode his mom ( Jill ) and his dad ( TIM ) let him go to costa rica and spend one year with his girlfriend helping our people far away.
