100 Bucks to the guy who can tell me what percent of the cut the Artists get when you buy their CD. If you said "less than 1%" you would be correct. So are you really supporting them? Or are you contributing to a long awaited music distribution revolution by downloading for free....think Trent Reznor "the slip" and Radiohead "In rainbows"....
That depends entirely on who writes the song. The band gets plenty if they write their own stuff. Which Audioslave did. I think that's why they broke up, because Chris wrote it and wanted a bigger cut then the other guys. I doubt he'd do that over less than 1%.
yep, i know the acting wasnt fantastic and the script was shite but the cinematography and music brought a tear to my eye, i thought michael mann did a grat job on that...just wish hed directed the actors better :S
I am totaly behind you in telling someone to buy the music, I mean, if you like an artist, support them, don't rip them off, but unfortunately, studies are showing that only 40% of people are paying, not 99%. The good news about that though, is that it is causing bands to have to tour more, because you can't experience the band for real on an mp3, the bad news, is it is driving ticket prices thru the roof, because its the only place that musicians can make it anymore!!!
Is it just me or have you guys paid attention to the melody of the song. I personally think it is the best melody ever created...would be nice if some one can publish the sheet music of the song
