  • @jaszon28 Not sure! I've been pretty busy over the last year actually being in shows rather than seeing them. I'm sure I'll see Wicked again someday, but it's just not a priority right now. :)

  • @jaszon28 I ended up seeing it 40 times and had to stop about a year ago. It got to be a little much and wasn't enjoying it anymore, haha. I believe, overall, my favorite Elphaba was Dee Roscioli.

  • @wickedchicago Dee is amazing! But so far my favorite is Teal Wicks!

  • Marissa is amazing! I know her! =) Would love to see her in DC or Hawaii!

Saw Wicked for the first time and loved it! In NYC w/ Katie Rose Clarke.

  • Speaking of Meredith as Elphaba, did you hear about an incident that happened with her during the show one time in Cleveland? During I'm Not That Girl, a drunken, obscenity-filled brawl broke out in the audience and she just kept on singing while the Police was arresting the lady. After the song, she got a huge standing ovation!

  • @broadwaymike92 Yes, I did hear about that. It's unfortunate that someone could be so incredibly rude like that. People like that are disgusting. Thanks for watching! xx

  • @wickedchicago Meredith was the heroic Elphaba of the night with no distractions! Even one time the fire alarm went off during NO GOOD DEED, she keeps on going until she was told to stop! Thank God she's not like Patti LuPone or Hugh Jackman when they freak out!

  • @wickedchicago I hate when people are so disrespectful to others while watching the show! I have a friend who was there the night Patti LuPone flipped an audience member for taking 3 illegal pictures of her while singing Rose's Turn! It's on YouTube!!

  • Marissa Is Awesome

  • Wicked Rocks! I caught 5 understudies when I saw it in August 2004. Kristin Chenoweth left a month before I saw it and Idina Menzel was filming a movie for the summer. These were my understudies!

Eden Espinosa (Idina Menzel) as Elphaba

Sean McCourt (George Hearn) as The Wizard

Jan Nueberger (Carole Shelly) as Madame Morrible

Anthony Galade (Sean McCourt) as Witch's Father

Adniah Alexander (Jan Nueberger) as The Midwife

  • @broadwaymike92 So jealous that you got the see Sean McCourt as The Wizard! I always love how the guys in the witch's father/swing track in the ensemble end up portraying The Wizard. It's a unique take on the role. Thanks for watching! xx

  • @wickedchicago I had no idea I was going to see him. Joel Grey was suppose to stay in the show longer till Idina left in January but he left in July, same as Kristin due to a I think a surgery he had. Sean did a great job and I met him after the show. Only 5 people came out actually. Did you see Sean as the Witch's Father? My friend also saw him as Dr. Dillamond.

  • I'm going to try to do the lotto tomorrow in Chicago for wicked. I hope since it's supposed to snow and it's the day after christmas that a lot of people don't show up but If I lose I'll run to the another theater to do rush tickets for white Christmas .

  • @wickedinUS Best of luck! xx

  • i went to the performance at the same place as you in this video but 2 weeks later, janurary 10 2010, and we got to see chandra lee shwarts and stephanie torns!

  • @emmanem1224 I hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching! xx

  • I am soooooooooooooooooo entering the lottery :P

We got Mezz tickets this time (orchestra last time) and I really want to sit in the front row

  • @NatalieGoesByBubble The front row really is wonderful. :) Best of luck! Thanks for watching! xx

  • do you pay before or after?

  • @WickedHaydie98 You only pay the 25 dollars if you win. It's free to enter. Thanks for watching! xx

  • In New York they call 13 names and by some miracle I won out of at least a hundred people.

I feel that if you're positive, you're gonna win. I don't know, I've never lost...

But isn't that half hour waiting period just the most nerve-racking half hour ever?

  • @BeautifullyTragicLFB It definitely is! But that's what makes the lotto so exciting, that period of waiting.

And that's exactly the key, being positive. People always ask me what my "secret" is, and that's the only tip I can give them.

    Thanks for watching! xx

  • how did you know you were gonna win and is there a secret

  • @smmcknnn No one goes to the lottery KNOWING they're going to win. You win by chance. There's no secret, either. It just takes luck. Thanks for waching! xx

  • My friends, family and I went to that performance. We actually went stage dooring too! Thats my friend in the background in the orange sweatshirt. That is so weird.

  • @WheresJonathan What a coincidence! Thanks for watching! xx

  • I did the lottery in Durham to help a friend get a ticket, we didn't win. :( But I did have stage door luck! :) I got to see tour #2 with Vicki Noon and Natalie Daradich twice!

  • who was the girl that signed ur thing at 7:26?? and at 8 :03??? what characters did they play

  • @pianogirl204 Marissa Lupp, Glinda standby, who was on that day.

  • @wickedchicago thanks you :)

  • woops when I said about seeing donna before her run nevermind you said u already saw donna lol...did u meet her?

  • I really wish you can see Donna before her run ends :D

  • Fiddler! ehhhhh! love it. lol.

  • Fiddler's great to listen to in the car, until your father decides to sing along.

    -headdesk-

  • I read today that Meredith is taking over the Elphaba role for Marcie on March 10th on the 2nd tour.

  • Hey Glad you got to meet Merideth! I finally got to meet Donna last november check out my new videos of donna and chandra!!

  • Thanks Wicked. I am seeing an evening show on a Tuesday. So we shall see, its at 7:00 I think, so I bet they will eat dinner before the show. Hahaha I am seeing the 2nd National tour.

  • I was curious, how long do you have before the cast starts coming out to the stage door? We have orchestra seating and I know we are going to have to stop at the bathroom on the way out, cause we have a 2 hour drive home. Just curious.

  • @C3H2P8 Usually, ensemble members will filter out of the theater in anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes of the show ending. If you are attending a matinee, the leads might not come out at all (they often order their dinner in, and relax before the next show.) However, they may come out about 25-35 minutes after, if they are getting dinner out. If you are seeing an evening show, they will all be out within 40 minutes, because they have to go back to their hotel.

  • what is wicked is it just a play, and do you see it over and over?

  • @willchamb Wicked is a musical, that just happens to be absolutely amazing. Yes, I see it frequently, because I enjoy seeing different actors portray the roles different ways. It's also just a fun experience, with the unknown factor as far as getting tickets is concerned, and getting to meet the actors after the show.

  • just so u know, marissas last name is pronounced "loop"

  • Hey i met you yesterday && your dad haha ( :

  • Hey! If you're looking to see the most recent video from yesterday, this isn't it. I will have the one from yesterday up either today or tomorrow. :)

  • I won the lottery 3 times there for wicked. haha

  • That's great! :)

  • also, what other shows are you interested in? (:

  • Any of the shows I've done a video on I like...as well as Bye Bye Birdie, Phantom, any of the Disney musicals, Avenue Q...the list goes on, and on, haha.

  • i love watching these videos! the last time i saw wicked was in august of 08 in chi town for my 14th bday..now wicked's coming to where i live, so i'm so excited! i've only seen it three times, but i've got tickets for two performances here in my city. i hope they do lottery here...do you know if in every city they do lottery? cause i'd hate to only see two shows! lol (:

  • I'm glad you enjoy them! :)

And yes, I'm about 99 percent sure Wicked does a lottery in every city on tour, but it doesn't hurt to call ahead and ask the box office. You can never be too sure!

  • alright cool, thanks (: also, for other shows, i recommend the wedding singer..that was really good, so was chicago and mamma mia!

  • This is a great video and was really fun to watch! i wish they stufff like this in Australia :|

    anyways great!! :D xx

  • Thank you! That means a lot to me. :)

  • how many times have you not won the lottery? haha. So I'm almost positive Meredith is going to San Fran to replace Teal probably before i go see it this summer. Since you've seen Marcie as well, how does Meredith compare to her?

    thanks!

  • I would venture to say from the 55-70 times I've tried the lotto, about 9 or 10 of them I have lost. But out of those 10, I walked away without giving in and buying full priced tickets about 6 of those times.

I think Meredith really needs to just come to Broadway. I'd love to see her about 5 or 6 more times.

Between Marcie and Meredith, I think I prefer Meredith. Though, Marcie was powerful, I feel like Meredith suits the role a little better for some reason.

  • awesome! good to hear. Marcie was the first Elphaba I saw, and I was COMPLETELY blown away by her performance. Now if Teal leaves before I go, which she probably will, I will see Meredith unless she's not there, thats a whole different story. haha. But i know she is going cause Teal confirmed it.

  • Don't make a habbit of recording musicals , you might caught or kicked out . Lol :) I can't for tour to come back to Chicago!

  • No, trust me, I'm not making it a habit. I just feel like when I do my videos it goes from "Hey, we're going into the show.." to "Hey, we're leaving the show..." a little fast.

  • im psyched im seeing it in philly on the 9th

  • Have a great time! :)

  • It looks like you got orchestra side seating, i'm seeing wicked in San Fransisco this coming February and got side orchestra seating. How was it sitting there as far as the view of the stage and such?

  • Usually with the lottery you get premium front row seats. The seats we were in were considered the very left of the front row. When you purchase your tickets with your lotto voucher, the box office works their way down the row, according to the name called first. Therefore, we were on the very left of the front row.

But I have sat back a little further in the orchestra previously, and know that they are usually good seats. However, I've never been to the theater in San Fran.

    Enjoy the show!

  • My theatre was gonna do Fiddler on the Roof in November, but it got cancelled due to a legal agreement, so they replaced it with Wizard of Oz, but thats ok!

  • That's still cool! :) My school is doing some stupid show that you barely have to pay for the rights for. Lame.

  • Oh, but hey atleast you guys get to have a school show, wats the show???

  • No, I mean, it's literally a nothing show. Zombie Prom. Like, seriouly? Stupid school.

  • Oh, Haha, im sorry, but thats funny, Zombie Prom?

  • Thank you! <3

  • Merideth IS amazing! She was my first...and only Elphaba! Carmen was supposed to go on but, oh well!

  • Agreed!

  • Wait what day were you there? I went yesterday matinee! SO amazing even though we had two understudies for Elphie and Glinda!

  • Haha, I was there yesterday at the matinee. And I agree, it was absolutely amazing!

  • @wickedchicago I was at the same show as you then! Weird!

  • ahh, gotchaa. haha(:

  • very nice! I love how that little girl was there for her first time, then you go this was my 36th time. haha A bit much?? jk jk. Glad you had fun. Love the ppac & Wicked<333

  • Tehe, I figured she would already see the crazy signature page, so I might as well justify it! :)
