  • Im surprised that 6.0 didn't grenade. And that 460 can whoop it if it was fully dressed. Put a dodge cummins with 4wd and that 460 will really have to work.

  • Those EFI 460's weren't very powerful lol. Slap on some SCJ heads and it would've won for sure.

  • i'd get a diesel engine. it has much more torque than a gasoline engine which means you can pull heavier loads. its also more economical. who needs horsepower for towing when you have TORQUE? diesel all the way.

  • @Bagadaboats my old 460 was rated at 325hp with 510lbs tq so I have no idea what your talking about

  • he is just strocken that460

  • Very good video to show the weight difference between the too trucks and the torque wow 6.0 is laying down with made weight and power but id like to scale the to trucks add weight to the old girl and crack the power on that bbf yeah

  • the would 460 shoudl win

  • look at the tires! no duh the 6.0 would win

  • i bet the ford wins

  • @fordmud460 That would be a winning bet!

  • @l3arrett50 nah, im pretty sure the fords gonna win

  • Awesome challenge lol that was a nice lookin SuperDuty, how did he keeps the wheels spinnin so consistently slow? Usually in these kinda pulls, the tires are lit up...

  • @yellowmusicfreak No usually they want to keep them slow for more traction Just got to have the touch on the gas pedal

  • 6.0's arnet junk, All the duramax and cummins drivers wont admit that becasue thell get there ass smoked by them. ARP studs and EGR delete makes them bulletproff!!

  • @SuperPowerstroke06 i know the 6.0 gets so much hate from these youtube guys who dont even have a diesel or ever owned one. i got my late model 04 6.0 powerstroke about a year and half ago and it has been awesome. got a EGR delete kit, ARP head studs and this thing has been wonderful. its the people who dont delete the egr and it goes out every month and those people are the ones who run tuners on their trucks and no fuckin gauges then they say oh the 6.0 sucks.but really its the owners fault.

  • @MxRider710 your right. i have a 6.0 studs and egr delete. then left stock. the funny part is the losers on you tube dont even realize that the 6.0 would wreck a 7.3 all day and still last longer then the 7.3! it is the truth.

  • diesel's got more weight. more weight=more traction. it's all about traction. torque has nothing to do with it. my 77 f150 4x4 in low range 1st gear could pull that 6.0 around as long as i got enough traction with it (which i can't haha).

  • WHY are you CAPITALIZING random WORDS i DONT see the point to IT and its REALLY annoying TO read

  • At least the 460 was built by Ford. The 6.0 is absolutely not. Lets put the same turbo on the 460 and see what happens. Diesels suck ass.

  • YANKEE LAKE ROCKS!!

  • @kaneonight heck ya I am there every weekend

  • 6.0 bad ass

  • You diesels would be nothing with out your turbos.

  • Even with newer looking sticky rubber, the 6.0 truck didn't look that much more dominant. I bet that the 7.5 will outlast that 6.0 though! I have had 460's go more than 300K with proper maintenance.

  • Hmm, that 460 that was at the newest a 97 and that "better" 6.0L Diesel (atleast an 04-08), and that 460 still gave it a run, if the driveshaft wouldnt of been floppin around on that 460 where he coulda really gave it to her i bet that diesel wouldnt of had a chance....

  • Sure DIESELS got more TORQUE, strip out the TURBOCHARGER and lets see what happens. The 6.0 POWERJOKE is the most problematic of "FORD" DIESELS.

    I rather have the smooth 460 V8 than a loud 7.3 diesel.

I bougth a F350 460 V8 rather than the DIESEL version of the same era.

  • @EM6285 Diesels are nice I want a duramax, but your right 6.0 was junk. I see so many of them too because people get them so cheap

  • @EM6285

not trying to hate on the 460 but i'd take my 7.3 over any gas burner. 300k miles and still pulls like a champ

  • @EM6285, the engine isn't made by ford.

  • @EM6285 The 6.0L is not junk at all. Emmision laws are absolutely junk. If the laws didn't get stricter the 6.0L wouldn't have the bad rep that it does.

  • @EM6285 hahaha dude...these things aren't a matter or power, its a matter of traction.

  • @EM6285 Strip out the turbo on any newer era diesel and you'll get nothing. The 6L is not a joke, like any engine there will be problems. Sure it's had it's down's, but it's definitively had it's up's... Like any motor. Also, if it was such a joke why did it go into production? It passed the emissions with flying colors and it outdid the 7.3L in power by a long shot. Fix the two main problems and you got yourself an amazing machine.

  • @EM6285 Powerstrokes are ford's most successful engine.

Oh and did you know that the 7.3 powerstroke diesel IS a V8? Lol.

  • @eilif9 no the small block ford is fords most succesful engine, in fact the small block ford is the most succesful V8 engine in the world! GM nor Chrysler can contest, neither auto maker has the history around the world and in the country as ford motor company adheres to with the 289/302/351 engines.

  • @1962Galaxie514ciMPFI I was referring to most successful diesel engine. You're right about the small block but i was talking about diesel.

  • @eilif9 the 7.3 was awsome, but what you dont realize is the 7.3 didnt last long enough for it to get the emissions era like the 6.0 did. but i will say this, i have a F250 6.0 in it. i studded the heads, and EGR delete, the engine is stock except for an exhaust system and a small tuner. my 6.0 will out tow, outrun, outlast, then any 7.3 and i definately piss on duramax and cummins diesel's also at the strip! it's funny looking at GM owners faces after i tell them my truck is a 6.0

  • @1962Galaxie514ciMPFI the ford 6.0 does not have more power then the 7.3

  • @jrroper1996 yes it does. it is offered from the factory with more horsepower. do you even know what is power and where it comes from? dont get mad because the 6.0 will rape a 7.3.

  • ohh that was a hard one to call

  • @yamahafordlover Theres ones even closer than that!

  • diesel= torque king!

  • o that deisel is the shit

  • o that deisels is the shit

  • it gave the 6 point slow (6.0L) a run for it's money.

  • it is what it is

  • Id rather have a gas motor. Diesels dont sound as good, theyre harder to work on, and more expensive. Plus trucks werent made to hook up to each other. Their supposed to pull trailers, not other trucks. A gas motor in a full size truck will pull a trailer just fine.

  • @theoutlawoutcast ya with a golf cart on it down hill

  • Now that I watch it again, it seems the 460 wasn't trying lol and when it did start trying it was too late. But I could see that both engines are somewhat similar... I mean obviously a 6.0 diesel = a 7.5 Gasser. xD lol

  • Man that diesel's got like a whole ballsack more torque.

  • That's interesting, I thought for sure the 460 would've won lol

  • @dbrandinni Both of those trucks are setup for pulling, They both pulled each other a couple times.
