  • thats cool i watched all these videos and am amazed how many things we did i hope i one day could represent armenians like these guys ill probably be in the artist section

  • **ARMENIAN PRODUCT NEWS** (continued) Gus Barber was the son of an immigrant from Armenia, and developed programs to help his immigrant employees learn everything from English to computers to citizenship.

  • **ARMENIAN PRODUCT NEWS** Barber Foods Founder Dies: The man behind one of Maine's great business success stories, has died. Gus Barber the founder of Barber Foods in Portland, passed away Friday. In 1955, Barber started his business with one worker. The company now employs more than 700 people, many of them immigrants, and is one of the country's largest makers of frozen foods such as stuffed chicken breasts.

  • You should also look into the history of ISTANBUL CYMBALS. One of the founders, Agop Tomurcuk, established the company with a Mehmet Tamdeger. After Agop's death, his sons (Arman and Sarkis) established ISTANBUL AGOP. (Mehmet went his own way as well and established ISTANBUL MEHMET.) I have not been able to find any references of an Armenian ethnicity, but it would seem that Agop, Arman, and Sarkis are of Armenian ancestry. Istanbul Agop also produces ALCHEMY CYMBALS. Worth checking out.

  • **ARMENIAN PRODUCT NEWS**: I just discovered that RICE-A-RONI was invented by an Armenian by the name of Mrs. Pailadzo Captanian. She was an Armenian Genocide survivor who, in the 1940's taught one of the makers of the Golden Grain Macaroni Company how to make pilaf which later turned it into the famous product!

  • Hey you can include Patricia Field who is half Greek and half Armenian. She is an award wining stylist who has dressed Sarah Jessica Parker and the Cast of "The Devil Wears Prada"
