Lock out is BAAADDD for the joints... more concerning to me was the thumbs outside the bar rather than wrapped around... he would actually be stronger with thumbs wrapped because then he would engage the triceps and stabilizers more fully...this is a big strong guy!!! Good Job!!!

@benchaffleck I disagree yes this guy is strong for even doing multiple half reps. But he is not doing a full range of motion. half reps are a legitimate training technique to get past sticking points and to target weaknesses in your training, but thats where it ends for me. A lot of people do half reps just so they can do more weight. If this guy only does half reps then I think he should go down in weight , because a rep means a full range of movement with a weighted object

another point of posting complete reps: if you're going to put it on the world wide web to electronically boast, why put 80% reps on when you know you're going to get called on it? And if people DON'T do this to boast, what IS the point? To prove a human can 80% bench 405 pounds 6 times, or to just "show a guy working out"? Bit daft isn't it?

@benchaffleck I disagree yes this guy is strong for even doing multiple half reps. But he is not doing a full range of motion. half reps are a legitimate training technique to get past sticking points and to target weaknesses in your training, but thats where it ends for me. A lot of people do half reps just so they can do more weight. If this guy only does half reps then I think he should go down in weight , because a rep means a full range of movement with a weighted object

My soccer coach was like 35 years old and he could do 300. Plenty can do 315, but it's like there's some kinda diminishing returns going on, you're right. The higher in weight you get the slower you progress.

@westy44cal man 315 its not that heavy i agree with you not many can actually do it cause many have average joe genetics or are lazy at the gym.. see im small like really small i weight 135 lbs and can bench press 250 with hardly any training (say a month tops) i always been naturally ripped so i dont see why a 200 lbs man with good genetics and a month training cant bench 315 lbs.... still benching 315 lbs deserves credit either because your effort or your natural skill
