Drew is Jaid Barrymore's only child, but Drew's dad, John Blyth Barrymore, had 3 other children with 3 other wives. Drew has an older half-brother: John Blyth Barrymore (aka John III), an older half-sister: Blyth Dolores Barrymore, and a younger half-sister named Brahma (Jessica) Blyth Barrymore. (And I DEFY ANYONE TO FIND A PICTURE OF HER on the internet, lol! I've tried, but failed.)

Other information says that Nina Wayne was John's third wife, and JAID was his fourth and last wife--which probably puts Jessica in her 40's, *older* than Drew. (see the Wikipedia entry for "Barrymore family," for example, which disagrees with the entry for "John Drew Barrymore")
@FlingsPooAtTheZoo Yes, I think you're right--that JAID was his last wife. Wasn't he mostly living in homeless shelters, or living off shrubs & berries in the wilderness in the 80's and 90's? Not exactly marriage material. It's my fault for trusting Wikipedia to be accurate!
It's a testament to daughter Drew's kindheartedness that she forgave him for his hateful, irresponsible, drunken (sometimes violent) behavior, and paid for him to live in an assisted care facilitiy & paid his medical bills.
Great photos! Some time ago Drew mentioned her plans to make a documentary about her family--I forget where I heard/read it. I wonder what happened to that project? I hope that she is working on it--I would LOVE to see it come to fruition! Soooo many books have been written about (and BY) her family members--it's kind of mind-boggling. The autobiography authored by her aunt Diana Barrymore ALONE could easily be made into a 3-part miniseries!
You can tell from the photos of Drew, Spielberg, and his wife Amy..that this is the only time she probably felt comforted and loved by two people who represented a sort of surrogate mother and father for her. She seems truly happy here and the smile shows it.

Drew belongs to my generation but I love so much her grand father, John, the best and cinical actor of the past. American movies is nothing with JOHN BARRYMORE. Drews lovely grandmother is on here in a 1930 musical number "meet my sister".She was Dolores Costello.I believe the Barymores were of English origin.
Because they mistreated her. Her father beat her, and her mother let her go off to Hollywood clubs unsupervised when she was only nine, and that's how she got hooked on drugs and alcohal.
her father wasn't around at all to even beat her up if i remember it correctly.
she always wanted him to be with her, but later on he only phoned when he wanted money, he was an ashole, and her moms really the most stupid bitch ever.
little honey drew deserved so much better than them, she was sooo sweet and cute and adorable, i would like to alter reality and be her big brother, that woudl be fun, she was such a smart and cute kid.
