What's all this controversy about faking shots in tennis ? There seems to be a general distaste for dropshots in tennis and some players apparently think it's simply not in their ethical code..Yeah right Federer said that once but he has since then recanted and I'm sure he would give this video a thumb-up.

Is certainly an unusual one, almost impossible to see it coming even when you know he is going to hit it. I think he does slice it ever so slightly but the change up to hit the drop is not massive like say when Federer hits a forehand drop

@kwl189 Actually it doesn't have slice on it, it's just hit flat but very soft. If it was slice then it'd drift a lot more to the right after the bounce, but it keeps a fairly straight trajectory after the bounce, only minor drift 'cos of the angle it was hit with.

I think the most dangerous part for Tomic is the mental aspect of the game. He's obviously really talented, but there's the danger: he knows he's talented, and sometimes he just loses focus with trick shots like that. He plays great tennis, but sometimes lacks the intensity. If he can find the right balance, he'll be a great player soon.
