tomtrilobite is right - this piece is not technically demanding or strenuous regarding the execution of the notes themselves, but it is quite difficult to really make it work without being too sentimental, and also of course to control the sound and to have a variety of colors. I am a former student of Mr. Pompa-Baldi and worked on this piece with him. I naively and lackadaisically thought it easy at first - boy did I find out otherwise when I brought it in for a lesson!

Editions are generally on 3 staves, which is awkward to read if you're not used to it, but otherwise it's not too difficult.
