Great video, Bri! Trapping the Steelhead Trouts looked like a lot of hard work! I was getting nervous watching the people stand so close to the water's edge like that, fearing they might fall and the strong tide will take them away. It's great to see that there are so many volunteers who help out so that the children can learn about the trouts and take part in helping the environment too. :)
@EmeraldxFairy Thank-you for your comments. I have to admit, I am very cautious around strong water currents too. I have a lot of respect for what they can do. For example, I won't wade into the ocean if I see strong waves and currents nearby. Yes, it was a very strange assignment, since I'm not a fisherman, but I thought it would be fun and different, and I love to be involved with educating people. So it was very rewarding! Brian.
This small little fish is responsible for so much life. It reminds me of the book Cod: A Biography of the Fish that Changed the World.
For some reason, none of my "regular" subs come up, and I don't even know they made vids....luckily you stopped by...and it was a pleasant surprise to see you made a new vid.
@TheFaustianMan Haha! The title of your book reference makes me smile! Yet, I know there must be some truth in it too. Yeah, I have a lot of YouTube glitches also. YouTube always seems so funky-clunky. I never know if things are going to load or play correctly, will email actually be sent to where you want it, etc. But we love it! : )
Wonderful video, Brian. It's nice to see a positive one about good people trying to make a difference - we hear enough of the negative stuff. Thank you for this educational and rather uplifting video! Cheryl
