I cant say the 100 has that now, I dont care if some one calls me a trader they just need to know after I left the 100 I spend 20 years serving with THE UNITED STATES ARMY BAND I know music.

They as everyone knows was first asked to be in the drumline movie but high ups said no since the band would have to lose in the movie and bam grambling got the dig. They also was invited to play on 2 super bowls in i beleive 98 and 99 but nope high ups declined. Don't know much aboit the but was all on my news channels years ago about it.

It's not called a DANCING band, it's called a MARCHING band. I watched this performance from beginning to end and saw absolutely no originality whatsoever. SU did this routine back in 1991 at the Freedom Bowl in ATL when they were smoked by SCSU Marching 101. It was okay then, but doing it again in 06 showed their lack of new concepts. As the SCSU announcer said back in 1991, "Southern if you can't run with the big dawgs, then stay under the porch." The SWAC focuses on gimmicks, while the MEAC focuses on music.
Ok, I just watched the Freedom Bowl show, and this show is NOTHING LIKE IT! And as for smoked, I doubt that. The 91 show was very good, so I bet that it was all that SCSU could do to keep up.
I totally agree with that last statement... i mean look at BCC, FAMU, Norfolk, Howard, SCSU and old school Hampton....Each of these bands has a concert selection. sure its a popular song, but it's still very musical..even drills are more musical, with more moving lines and countermelodies. Swac is all about cranking...most swac dance routines are wack too.

SU has played in several super bowls and is currently voted the number 1 band in the nation by USA today (which is typical). The bottom line is the styles are different but we are the best at what we do. And we just beat yall ass on national television. SSSSSSU! Fuck FAMU!

personally, i liked it, execution wise. very neat and crisp sound while marching. dances couldve been better, but i dont really judge dance routines, just the creativity of em. i like that snap move in shoulder lean and the "Eenie Meenie Miny Moo Chant".
