new it was around $40,0000 you can find a good one for around $15,000. and no I would not recomend this car for a first car. It is a streat leagel race car. It is a 4 cylinder with 240HP. I have seen alot of theas car's turnd into a pile of worthless meatel. If you are looking fo a cool looking rag top for a first car I would recomend the Pointac Solsitce or Saturn Sky. Both car's only have around 170HP but they are still a fast care.
