  • nice JIC kit!

  • Sick SC man

  • that is one sweet civic man

  • @viperz888 dumbass

  • CLEAN SC bro

  • its good to see a Japanese company put V8's in their cars every once in a while.

  • @punchmaster123 This isnt Honda buddy.. it's Toyota ;)

  • Thats one nice 11.

  • holy shit turn it up 0:13

  • Comment removed

  • very nice

  • wat is better 2jz or 1jz? i dont know dif between besides .5liters...the uz is nice but i just love that sound of the jz more!

  • The ground is really level where you live, just saying

  • Im thinkin about buyin that car and im curoius. How many miles per gallon does that car use witout the moddifications??

  • Nice burn out man! A 6 speed must be fun in that. 1UZ's sound minty fresh.

  • That's the look i'm going for, fucking love those rims bud! Nice work.

  • should have hit second for another round.lolz

  • It's a manual right? What transmission did you use to convert it to a six speed?

  • @somebody118 Its a getrag from a Supra TT

  • @scotturnot Was is a direct fit or did you have to do some custom work to get it to match? Very interesting.

  • @wajalama Its a custom deal, there are som swap parts availible but then other parts are custom made. I have a thread documenting the swap on Club Lexus if you are interested I could get you there.

  • @scotturnot How much did that swap run you?

  • That manuver takes so much skill.

  • I'll take 10

  • yeeeaaah man

  • what size are those rims ?

  • @beatz32 Thos were my old 16" ccw drag rims and slicks. I have a set of Bogart 17" now to clear my 14" stoptech brakes now.

  • @scotturnot oh ok thats what i thought i actually like the look with the 16's on there i see alot of these cars with 19's and 20x10's and im like damn the car is heavy enough. even though they look good on the car for the bling factor the 16's and 17's look better to me i plan on getting one of these very soon nice car keep up the good work

  • @scotturnot Go over a speed bump with the car

  • "I have seen 400kw+ produced on an unopened 1uz still running 10:1 compession.

If you want to put pistons and rods into it them, then bottom end will be able to take 1200hp ++, these engines have 6 bolt main caps and forged cranks from factory......." I know neil from rush imports has been running 1uz supercharged for over 5 years with more then 300,000kms 15psi + no intercooler. no dramas.

  • @panzerfaust375 I have a complete new engine in the works, fully built 4.7 with a intercooled whipple, stay tuned

  • @scotturnot

2uz? man 1uz all the way. still be interested to see what you do.

    how much boost?

  • @panzerfaust375 Its a 2uz block with 1uz heads, kelford cams, oversize valves, all forged internals. Hoping to thro around 20lbs boost at it.

  • @scotturnot

Why did you do that? To gain the displacement? 1.5uz lol. I've heard of a 1.5jz but i didn't know anyone did the same thing to the uz family. You should do a website for it cause this is a pretty special car.

  • @Greave12 well i am not sure of anyone in your area that could do this. I typically do all my own work so I dont even hav eany shops in my area that I could recomend. Look me up on ClubLexusDOTcom and I will direct you to a guy that might be able to help on the 5 speed swap at least.

  • @Greave12 Then I would do a 5 speed swap and supercharger, you could probally almost pull it off for 6K. A centrifigal supercharger would probally cost less than a roots aor twin screw.

  • @Greave12

Well it isnt cheap, a better question might be, what is your budget then we can figure out what direction to go. The Supra 6 speed is a costly swap, a 5 speed can bee done for thousands less, really depends on how much you are willing to spend.

  • sick car

  • That sounds nice

  • nice i love this vid

  • 1uz is the baddest unkillable engine murduring all fords and maybe some chevys and definitly all the fords though....HA HA AHHHHH

  • nah, chevys yes ford no. ford didn't need a bailout remember?

  • Ha Ha. I Like you. WIN

  • How did you make this a 6 speed? What transmission did you use?

  • Supra Getrag, I have a complete thread over on Club Lexus of how the swap was done.

  • Ok I will check it out, thanks.

  • uhmm look nice

but would be better with a 2jz power

  • lol why 2JZ when you can have an allaluminum V8 that has more potential then a 2JZ

  • Comment removed

  • Lexus V8

    Wait, Toyota V8

    not american?

Toyota Soarer in Japan. get it right

  • Its a 1uz. It's a japanese 4.0 liter v8....

  • well i like my engine sound better :P

  • @dubvipers

Why an all aluminum V8 when you can have an iron block I6 that has more potential than a 1UZ?

  • Don't get me wrong, I love the 2JZ-GTE and the 1UZ motors.

But you need to do some research and actually see how much technology was poured into the 1UZ. Both are similar in some aspects ( .5L per cylinder, DOHC, quad valves, etc)

Then you need to understand that the 1UZ is not just any aluminum block. Its construction is pretty much over engineered in similar ways to the 2JZ. And if you don't want 4.0L, get a 2UZ with 4.7L, which i assume Scott uses.

Anyway, Everyone has 2JZs. step up the game

  • Same, I wasn't trying to start a flame war, just joking around. the JZ and UZ engines are probably my two favorite engines out there. I used to be the biggest I6 fanboy in the world when I had my NA-T supra, everything else out there just to be eaten by the mighty 2JZ, I loathed the V8 more than anybody could know, that was until I took a ride in a boosted 1UZ... :)

The only engine that sounds better to me than a JZ personally is the 1UZ!

  • ahhh okay. totally understand that then.

I have to agree with your last line about the 1UZ sounding better than a 2JZ lol. 2JZ's sound great, but when you start to mess with 2 more cylinders, you can make things sound exotic :D

I want to build a TT-3UZ. i just know for a fact when i do, the turbo's are going to be fawking big....

  • @velocity211

Right on that's why I wanted both.

1jz-gte track car which I plan to put big turbo on down the track. r154 manual :)

    and

1uz-fze daily. Supercharged v8 for my daily :)

Both cars have been very reliable. The 1uz takes punishment!! Is my second one. My first one I overheated and revved out to 8,000rpm occasionally with 220,000km+ when I sold it she sounded sweet brand new like.

I expect no more then 200,000 out of the 1jz under track conditions to be honest.

    1uz i want 600,000km.

  • Not everyone has 1jz's ;)

  • more displacement is better and yes 7m 1jz 2jz 4a all have the G sufixe like 7m-gte the g means it has a wide angle valve (racing spec heads to flow more air) all G motors have there heads desiged by yamaha for better air flow so they are mostly really really over engineered 1uz is a lil less performance all the other g engines make close to 100hp per liter 1uz make way less but has more potential because there is replacement for displacement

  • I agree!

There's been some pics of some minimal headwork on the UZ's and they have proven to open alot more power on the UZ's.

For an "F" motor, it's been getting some aftermarket backsupport lately.

    This SC400 shows it :D

  • @dubvipers

F for economy and because they didn't want it to go above 206 kw. Rumours are that's why the manifolds are so restrictive on these, to limit the power.

  • @dubvipers because the 4.7 is a heavy low reving engine for suvs

  • elocity211

I know that, iron can endure much more than aluminum, but if you looking, 1UZ have 4 liters, 2UZ 4.7 liters, 2JZ 3 liters.

It's all depends about used materials and excellent engineering.

Power potencial also depends about displacement and expensive materials.

  • @2jzgtejza80

Yeah expect you're forgetting that 1uz is forged alloy which is much stronger then cast iron.

  • @panzerfaust375

1UZ -FE is cast aluminum alloy block, with centrifugal cast iron (gray iron) cylinders.

2JZ-GTE is cast iron block (thermal treated, it's vermicular iron, little better than gray) and the cylinders are same as in 1UZ, so potencial is similar, but 1UZ have more displacement, means that can reach same power with much less boost, and with forged internal 1UZ reaching huge potencial. So 1000bhp 1UZ needs less boost than 2JZ 1000bhp. Firmness of cylinders are the same in 1UZ and 2JZ

  • @2jzgtejza80

Doesn't the 1uz have 6 bolt mains. steel crack and connecting rods. hypereutectic pistons and 1uz is lighter then the 2jz. In any case I rate the jz family and the 1uz very highly in my view probably the best toyota motors made.

  • @panzerfaust375

Yes it has 6 bolts, due to high stress to aluminum. American block usually using 4-bolts and also cross bolts so it can be compared to 6- standard bolts.

Nissan VQ series and UZ series using 6-bolt mains. 1UZ have all forged internals, and yes it's lighter than 2JZ, because the aluminum (2,7) have 3 times less specific weight than iron (7,85).

  • @2jzgtejza80

yeah but does the 2jz have forged internals? My 1jz is basically my track car because i know the jz series gets serious power quite easily and cheaply and with very little issues. My 1uz though I want to get 800,000kms out of it supercharged daily.

  • @panzerfaust375

Yes 2JZ have stronger forged internals than 80% of all American engines ever made. Stock internals can hold up to 600bhp without fail. Engine block can hold 2.5 to 3 bars of pressure without melting.

  • @2jzgtejza80

I love my 1jz and 1uz. toyota did a really good job with these motors. I'm guessing the 1jz and the 1uz would be close with weight? Problem with the 1uz is the cost of modding it. Much less aftermarket support for it

  • @panzerfaust375

1JZ (2.5 liters) is same as 2JZ (3.0 liters), except displacement, so weight is similar, maybe 1JZ little less weight than 2JZ, but 1JZ is clearly heavier than 1UZ, because it's also cast iron block.

  • @panzerfaust375

Biggest problem of 2JZ comparing to 1UZ is weight. 1UZ-FE weights about 460Ibs, 2JZ is about 550-590Ibs depends about setup.

  • probably because its different, i have a soarer with a 6 speed 2jz gte i havent heard one that has the same setup as mine... i did it because it was different so maybe that why , my guess

  • lol nice one dubviper, don't you just love when these kids who grew up with Fast and the Furious try to sound like they know what there talking about LOL!

  • lol, its sad isnt it

  • Sounds beautiful Scott!

Also, those write-ups you do on CL are quite impressive!

  • hell yea Scott, that thing sounds tight..and mean.

    RyanV

  • How'd you get the 1UZ to mate to the Getrag? I've been wanting to do this or a hilux 5sp on the LS but it seemed like too much custom fabbing. Could you possibly help me get started in the right direction or tell me not to do it?

  • I have a complete write up on the swap on clublexus forums, also on Lextreme. Search under the same user name scotturnot. There are adaptors availble to make it work, then some custom parts I make as well.

  • I found it, it's definitely what I didn't want. It's far more fabbing than I am willing to do for the car. I'd rather motorswap with a JZ.

Excellent work though, keep it up.

  • Yep, I have been selling the custom parts to make it all work to some guys. Not a simple swap but with the right parts its not so bad.

  • I didn't read until the end but can I ask how much it runs total? (minus flywheel, clutch itself, transmission)

  • yea these things most commonly used the 2jz or 1uz v8's which are the coolest in my opinion. a real sleeper.

  • faark.... sounds amazing... nothing like my 1J.. thats a 1UZ-FE yeh?

  • Comment removed

  • You have a manual in there I'm wondering which tranny you put in and how difficult was the conversion the problem for me is I LOVE these cars but I HATE autos and I've never sen one with a manual please let me know this may change the car I'm getting in the next couple of months thank you

  • Supra 6 speed Getrag tranny and some special parts.

  • some companies make a custom bellhousing kit, which should be the only way to go. UZ's never arrived with manuals as far as I have known.

  • Dude leting it hit the rev limited makes it sound like shit Other than that BAD ASS CAR!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol ea scotturnot bought the beast!

  • some american supras have lexus engine

  • the lexus sc 300 has the same engine as the naturally aspirated supra. the 2jz

  • have u drove one? and is it really fast?

  • i have one and no, its not relatively fast. adding a supercharger or turbocharger offers amazing results though

  • some.. sc's

  • Supra's came with the 2JZ-GTE/GE.

    SC,LS,GS300's came with the 2JZ-GE.

  • is300 comes with 2jz-ge too

  • thank toyota 4 lexus

  • wah kinda supercharger is dat nd wer can i get dat

  • This one was a Eaton M90, I am now installing a whipple. There is a guy on ClubLexus selling a kit.

  • i have the same one in my 2dr Pontiac.

  • OH YEAH, whipple superchargers rule!

  • just so u guys know lexus is no longer part of toyota as a company but still owned by them

  • uhm lexus is toyota? just japan dont have lexus like us do, how does lexus copy benz? jw

  • This one happens to be a US Lexus which is a Toyota soarer. They dont sell the Soarer in the US

  • Comment removed

  • they do now. it's solara or something. early 2000's 2 door, v6. looks just like the old sc's. lil different of course. but toyota has the equivalent out here in us now.

  • Dude, Lexus is a Toyota. It's just a luxury version of a Toyota. Get your facts right

  • Yeah, I tell you what. Go up to any lexus just before 2001 and look at the glass and tell me what the manfucture says on it? Order parts for it, tell me what the box says? Toyota Genuine Parts. Lexus is made by toyota.

    Toyota Celsior = Lexus LS

    Toyota Aristo = Lexus GS

    Toyota Altezza = Lexus IS

Toyota Landcruiser Prado = Lexus GX

    Toyota Soarer = Lexus SC

    Toyota Harrier = Lexus RX

    Toyota Landcrusier = Lexus LX

    Toyota Camry = Lexus ES

  • Comment removed

  • Toyota Windom= Lexus ES.... but who cares..??

  • Toyota Windom = Lexus ES... but who cares..??

  • Well...the Camry and Windom/ES are mechanically identical...but who cares??

    just my 2cents

  • what valvesprings, retainers, and oem lifter buckets are you running in that 1uz?

  • Just sent you a message, Hope that helps.

  • I don't know anymore but I think the new Lexus coupes are still automatic only. Someone should tell Lexus what you did. A factory 6-speed Lexus coupe would be really sweet!

  • i love it. what a motor. what kind of power are you looking at?

  • how much did it cost to attach a 6 speed?

sc400s are only available are only available in auto. =(

  • Its not a cheap swap by any means. The Supra Getrag alone can set you back $3000+ Add a supra 6 speed diff, custom drive shaft, special clutch/flywheel and some other custom parts and you easily spend more than the SC400 cost you in the first place. That being said, a 6 speed V8 is a lot of fun to drive around.

  • Do you have to change the diff to suit?

I had 1uz with an g gearbox i think from a 1g motor. and I broke it but it was fairly easy to do.

I've got a 1jz coupled with an r151 and since the 1uz has a similar output I would say that would be fine. The box you have though better for supercharged and clutch dumping :)

  • would a w58 be easier to stick behind the 1UZ? i was thinking about buying a sc4 just to make it a 5spd (or stick period)

  • very nice work, unique set up, beautiful car

  • Nice ride.. 3 cool points. ;)

  • rear rims are a tad small, other than that, awesome car!

  • I guess you have never seen it on my street wheels! These are just my in line wheels. I have Work Rezax II's with 3 1/2 in lips for the street.

  • nice.. should post that up too then.

  • dos this have a v8 or v6

  • It is a 4.0 liter V8 Next engine is a fully built 4.7 liter with a whipple on top.

  • holy hell witch engine are u using next

  • Its a Tundra block, All forged internals, Oversized valves in ported 1uz heads. Custom ground kelford cams. I plan on throwing about 20lbs boost on it.

  • nice i have a na 300zx that i plan on doing a vh45de swap too its a shame that not many tuners know about this swap i mean to me id rather do this swap then any rb 2jz swap im kinda pissed cause the guy that can do the swap for me said i would have to run the turbos and all that from the back cause i wont have room in the front for turbos and piping so i guess i gotta sc the thing how much mpg do u get with a sc

  • Someone finally did a getrag swap with a 1uz. Ive never seen it done or heard of it. Good shit.

  • im intrested in the set up, you can pm me on cl, im sc400808, and can i guess maybe a tt tundra swap....

  • I hope to take it to its limits as well, this will be a serious build! More details soon.

  • Well Guys, this supercharged motor is up for sale. Just wait for whats next.

  • how much is it on sale for? u can message me

plus whats the specs on this beauty? HP?

    nice work

  • I am selling the complete SC kit for 3700 shipped but it looks like its sold. The new engine will be totaly amazing! More CC's, lots more boost and a well built engine!

  • nice work man.. good luck

so its not staying at 3968CC/4.0L?

lemme know how it goes... im gonna take my V8 SC over the limits and make it wipe its shoes on the laws of physics

  • how much bro.

  • Sold my supercharger set up Next up is going to be sweet. stayed tuned for the reveal. BTW I know a guy selling a supercharger set up for a SC400 if you are interested.

  • Fucken nice soarer!!!! In white

  • If there is a will there is a way :)

  • Sorry about that I meant c7andrei is the one living in the bubble.

  • There is if its Custom, I installed a Supra TT Getrag 6 speed in it behind a Supercharged 1UZ V8

  • NICE!!!

  • such a quiet car. Nice!

  • sweet sound and nice CCW Classics

  • niceeeeeee
