Personally i know psychics/people with abilities. Mostly the people with abilities don't tell others for fear of prejudice. i agree that many people are fraudulent and try to take money from unsuspecting people. The people i associate with do not take advantage of others in asking for money when using their gifts.
Psychics by definition are people who fleece people off their money using dangerous false claims. They should either be put in jail or in an asylum. Those who know they're lying should be in jail. Those who think they're selling a "scientifically-proven" stuff should be in an asylum.
Hey, Mitch. Absolutely the best response I've heard about this. Fuckin awesome.
About Occam's Razor, there's no reason the truth can't be complicated. But I think it still applies here because the psychic has to make many shaky claims, which are supported by other shakey claims. So here's where it gets complicated vs. simple. + It implies that you should be able to easily disprove the simpiler theory before you can prove the complicated one. And that can't happen w/o a major paradigm shift
i guess my first question would be how you define 'psychic'.. something like: "a person apparently sensitive to things beyond the natural range of perception"? there have been scientific studies and research done regarding remote viewing and things like the project stargate that proved people have the ability to 'see' things more easily than others. if we're energetic in nature and our thoughts create energy, it would seem reasonable that we can 'sense' more than just our five obvious senses.
I find it hilarious that this psychic is selling jewelry on his site. For only $100 you too can have some rocks on a thread. Fucking hack.

I worded my last sentence poorly. In using their gifts they do not ask for money and they have regular jobs.
