My work at the hospital monopolized my time over the past few weeks, though it was a fascinating experience to be working within the psychiatric ward of an involuntary commitment center. Serving as a communications liaison between patients committed for mental disorders and their medical teams gave me an eye-opening window into the mysteries of the mechanisms of the mind.
