  • are you some sort of failed DHARMA pregnancy experiment

  • @st3reo23 no, i was trying to grow my hair out to donate it, but thanks

  • @boxarocks3 I didn't say anything about your hair, it looks fine :)

  • That's good stuff, very interesting. I don't know how old this video is but I hope you got top marks.

  • very wrong theory... MIB is brother of jacob.. and the MIB became the black smoke because of the white light coming from a cave that actually jacob is protecting.. jacob push his brother MIB inside the cave and it became the black smoke.. the body of his brother is already dead but his soul became the black smoke.. that is the true story of the black smoke so stop making none sense theory.. just wait and watch for the show, your just ruining the mind of other viewers of lost...

  • WHAT ARE YOU?!

  • That was a interesting theory, particularly about the smoke monster. You should make a new theories video. =D

I think Locke became a Christ figure. Locke died for theirs sins of leaving the island. He was the only one who held on to his faith, therefore the only one who could be a perfect sacrifice for the sins of the survivors. And his death got them back to the island, like Christ's death gets humans into heaven.

  • I can't even tell if you're a boy or girl. If you're a chick, act more like a girl. If you're a dude, cut your hair.

  • She don't know what's at the center of the island. It ain't God and It ain't the devil, either. Well.........you might wish It was one or the other when It wakes up!

  • I like your Biblical parables, very well thought out!

  • After seeing the season premiere yesterday, I wonder if all of the appearances by Christian Shepard were really the smoke monster/man in black the whole time?

If it turns out to be the case, The smoke monster/man in black has been plotting the whole time!

  • I thought alot of lost was based off the bible too.

Thank you to everyone who clarified that this was a girl as well.

I was asking myself the same question!!!

    Haha

  • This is ridiculous. I do enjoy hearing other people's theories, but this is probably the worst one I've heard

  • wweeź sobie lepiej płatki na mleku zrób i ogarnij się bo pierdolisz głupoty

  • epic EPIC fail!!

  • I thought it was ben too

  • Does she read the bible during the ads when the rest of us are boiling kettles, taking a leak and/or skinning up?Boxarocks, fyi, you had no findings, and say the word 'biblical' far too often.I saw a guy theorising on Youtube that Lost was based on Stargate, and he made about as much sense.

  • its a girl x

  • the only reason people watch this video is because they want to know if it is he or she

and he/she doesn't know much about lost any way

my lost video is much better than hers

  • Comment removed

  • Right. Except the history of Lost is definitely fictional.

  • so is the bible

  • snap!

  • please tell us what your gender is, people are confused :))

  • fucking halarius comment

  • Your eyes are gorgeous.

  • Maybe... anyway. LOST and Bible are the same stuff... both are just a History...

  • how can u not tell... its obviously a girl

  • Are you serious, its a boy!!

  • wtf... its a girl watch her other videos...

  • Good observations! I agree. Also, another Biblical reference: Remember when the food falls from the sky in packages marked with the Dharma logo? The Israelites, hungry, lost and wandering in the wilderness recieve manna from heaven (food to make bread).

    (Exodus Chapter 16)

  • cool video 10/10

  • to bad it's lock :[

  • What about this theory? dowdblog - dot - wordpress - dot - com

  • You look like the swedish kid from Hancock

  • i think i heard him/her say MMMMMMMMMMMMMMBOP !

  • no its locke!!!

  • spot on...weve known for a few months now...

  • are u a boy or girl?

  • Who Knows...

  • Im sure its a boy. Might be wrong tho

  • it sure looks like and sounds like a boy. just the long hair. hmmmm... sorry person who uploaded. i just don't know.

  • your a foul mouth its a girl can you see idiot

  • you know its funny how it might be linked to exodus seen as the last 3 episodes are called exodus.... and the person in the coffin is loche.

  • In Lost, not only are there many biblical references, but there are also MANY references to Buddhism. A big example would be the eight-shafted wheel that Ben turns to move the island. In Buddhism, the symbol that represents an end to reincarnation and peace, is the wheel of truth, which also has eight shafts. Another word for this state of peace is Dharma. The Dharma logo is an octagon, and so on and s fourth. I really liked this. Great theories. Five stars!

  • Good insight but slightly overanalyzed: The bondage reference was just to show you where they will be going; they are always saying "just let go". "Mankind will become as the Great Old Ones; free and wild and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside and all men shouting and killing and reveling in joy". Best quote on Lost: Locke-"You were running like the devil was chasing you". Ana Lucia-"Maybe he is..."

  • Is Locke not in the coffin???

  • He is. She must have posted this before the season finale.

  • touche

  • Yes

  • not bad, that all makes a lot of sense and when I think about it, you could be right about a lot of stuff, I remember all those parts you talk about, never connected them :O 5 stars for u nice nice :D

  • Echo was also not killed by the smoke monster...is this because he was also a man of faith?? Also, i know an english teacher who is really into lost, and is really good at analysing it, (because he is an english teacher and he also knows literary connections) anyway, he believs that it is Locke in the coffin...can u do some research and try to prove that is is or that it isnt?? just a theory..

  • Eko Was killed because he said that he did nothing wrong When talking to Yemmy/Black Smoke. And because he said that he doesnt need forgiveness for killing a man the island need to protect itself from a killer Thats what i believe

  • i just wanted to say that it's really amazing that you realized all of this because it never struck me how similure the stories are (the lost story and the exodus from the bible). i am actually jewish and we have a holiday to celebrate the exodus and i never thought of the similarity between the stories. also- i wanted to add that moses never set foot in the holly land as a punishment from god (for a sin he commited)

and when getting to the land of cna'an there were twelve messengers sent as

  • as spies, after this there were 12 tribes in the land of israel where the israelites lived

(i think there are 12 main character who dont die in the first season.. not sure)

also the people who attack the israelites are the shomron people and the plistim people. one more thing- you refered to the 10 commandments- they were writen by god on two stone boards and were then carried in a coffin and god's spirit was thought to linger inside.

  • all of your connections do make sense... and youre smart. lol

  • ynithirix: Her cheeks are just red , most likely from the sun bc shes been playing "Lost" in her back yard for too long you sicky.

  • ok .... my theory is the island is an entity like a human body that summons people like little white blood cells to heal it or help it grow and protect it from all the anti-bodies that try to destroy it. Its a battle of who will win : good or bad. Greed or Peace. Pennys dad is a greedy evil bastard that wants to claim the island as his own and he does so through force and money. He's a ruthless killer. The island draws the right people with electromagnetic electricity.

  • Obviously they chose the "Dharma" initiative for good reason. A well educated buddhist will know that dharma is the act of good deeds. A type of yoga that brings good to those who do good. Karma references are abunduntly repeated throughout the show. The black smoke is the egoic personallity of the island.

Thats all I have to say so far.

  • There is no doubt that buddhist, shinto, muslim and christian themes are present. i only shed light to the christian ones because i was in a theology class at the time and these parallels were evident to me. they are not the sole driving force of the plot or show. if it was, the show would be lame.

  • you blush every time you say the word 'bondage'... ul

  • haha its locke

  • Obviously this is an old video, because you find out that its Locke in the coffin

  • LEX!! It's Loren from Culver. I LOVE LOST TOO...ironic to see you on youtube.

  • we saw jin in one episode in season 4...

buying a panda... remember that part... wt could that b?

  • I think Jin buying the panda was in the past (because he was working for Sun's Dad), and Sun giving birth was in the future. Just to mess things up.

When he came to the hospital he was told it was a boy. and the woman inside didn't really look like Sun (for what i can remember).

But hey, its Lost, everything can happen ;)

  • too many people are thinking locke is jacob.

    i think he's jack.

claire and christian (jack's family) are the only ones who could talk to jacob.

achara says jack is "alone, frightened and angry". also says he is "a leader and a great man".

jack can be derived from the name jacob. jack-ob.

    it makes sense.

  • yeah may b, but I think it's kinda far out :P

  • you know what's the actual common modern version of Jacob?

    James. (insert scary music here)

Didn't see that coming, did ya...

    Just kidding.

But to support your theory about Jack-ob (lol): Didn't Boone tell Locke in his vision to "bring the family back together"? I'm not suspecting Jack to be Jacob but I agree that they are related. Locke is more like a prophet, just like Desmond.

  • i think Jacob is Jack's Dad

  • I think you are close in that they are all related so that it has to be one of them. Jack, Claire, Christian,and...Claire's baby, Aaron. We know nothing of Aaron and what might happen in his future. It's also interesting that soon after Claire abandoned Aaron, she shows up in the cabin. I'm thinking Aaron could not be in the same room with his future/present self, for whatever reason.

  • Finally watched the whole vid! You are right about the biblical connections. It's obvious that the writers read A LOT! It's a given that they will work biblical references into the show. The most recent connections to books I found was Slaughter House Five and Shrodinger's Cat Theory. I mean, if you really pay attention, this show is dense with references and even small nods to things in pop culture. Even the names of the characters will give you an insight...Locke, Faraday, etc.

  • Well, now we all know that it's Locke in the coffin you dumbasses. She added this before that episode was aired. The question now is, how did Locke die and why did he leave the island...as well as a few other questions? Maybe you geniuses that pointed out the obvious, after the fact, will have a real answer this time, before we're actually given the answer.

  • as for why he left i dont know. But i think his death was suicidal for the fact that he was cast out from the oceanic 6 after he tried to get them to go back to the island

  • wt is dis a religious lesson? and the man in the coffin is john lock n he dnt hav any family aswel? sooo ur completely utterly rong

  • its locke in the COFFIN btw Jacob is the man who was moving an object in the orientation film WHO HAD A BEARD AND BLACK HAIR,+beard with his MIND like in MAN BEHIND THE CURTIN

  • great job. well spoken. ever thought that lost is talking about all humans not working together for a common cause? how all of us think that we can just go about our lives and not bond together? will there always be conflict for us? without a unifying cause...we are lost. just a thought.

  • nice work

  • locke is in the coffin lol

  • yup

  • the person in the coffin isnt ben. ben is in Sadi Arabia hiring Sayid to kill people.

  • i think that the timeline is jacked up and the season three finale is the point in which we are heading towards and we haven't seen anything that takes place after that yet. thus, ben hiring sayid is before the coffin timeline thing.

  • Amen!

  • Dude,

The Person in the Coffin is none other than Walt's Dog. And Jacob is Ben Linus' girlfriend (that young girl on the swings shown in a flashback). And Russo isn't dead...she just has maggots crawling out of her nose.

  • good thoughts, I agree with mostly all of this, I would like to read that paper...any chance that the smoke monster is actually the Island manifest? Also, a lot of people were saying that from what we saw Jacob resembled Locke, and in the bible Jacob has a twin brother who is a hunter type but I also now feel that Locke and Ben are brothers, perhaps Jacob is a manifestation of Locke from a different time or what have you...maybe they are all related more than we now, maybe all 3 are brothers...
