Awwww.... child hood memories! I remember watching and dancing to this with my sisters and when it came to Bob the statue, we would go ARGHHHHH.. its alive.. and runaway... lol.. best memories!
Is Bob bodypainted to look like a statue? I'm the biggest face and body painting fan around where I live. How did they create Bob's statue costume? If it's paint then he is as cool as all the other painted Old School stars, such as Big Bird painted blue, Coco the mime and Judy Graubart with her face painted as the mad scientist's fiend.
I found your comment odd and I was going to say something to kindof make fun of you, but then the video played, and the song got stuck in my head, and now I understand you.
I love this skit because i remember it when i was a little kid plus it was the first time i learned that many words can have the same meaning as other words.
I'm sure Gordon was very pleased to have hair again, at least for a lil while. This vid sure is a classic, favourite, timeless. Whatever it is, it's the bomb diggity!
I bet you this secretly had an impact on my future desision to be an Artist. XD In more ways then one! I definatly want to go to a muesum and preform this skit with someone now!
I remember this!! Bob as the statue really stuck with me. I love these classy song-and-dance skits like this and "Hola"- Maria and Luis are such a cute couple! I wish the cast did more things like this.
You are not the only one! Once Jim went, the show imploded and became terrible. The show is now just an advertising promo for Elmo really. Little bastard makes me puke!
I don't think it was that quick. Henson's death did have an effect, but not a drastic one---at least not right away. The show went on being pretty much the way it had always been for about eight more years--it was the 1998 season that was the real turning point. And until then Elmo was cool, since he was just another character.
However, if Henson were still around, I imagine wouldn't have toned himself down so much for the show's new approach.

This is how it would have happened if I had been in the museum that day:
Bob statue: "A ball can be a circle..."
Me: "AAAHHHH!!!!"
XD

Very diverse cast! We have the Hispanic Couple, the Black Couple, and then there's that White Guy holding the globe.
