The Bloomberg Initiative has made a difference in my country, India where 275 million tobacco users live. Bloomberg grants have enabled local governments to enforce national laws and protect over 100 million people from second hand smoke in many districts. Civil society has also been greatly empowered to advocate for strong tobacco control laws and their enforcement. There are many millions in India who would like to say 'thank you' to Michael Bloomberg, and hopefully, he will hear their thanks.
