  • how does a theremin work

  • I hate to thumb-down this but if you're going to go to the trouble of making a video about this you really should go into a little more detail. A minute and a half is not enough, the escapement alone needs more attention, it's the heart of a mechanical clock or watch. Also, the gear train is what translates the motion into a readable time display, and you barely mention that.

  • I have a x86-64 processor doing millions and millions of CPU instructions per second.

I could really give a shit less about how a clock works.

  • @PhoneJews Why are u watching this than dumass. Some people are here to build thier own clocks and learn something. u cant build a computer processor.

  • @PhoneJews yeah, and i bet you couldnt even come close to explaining how your CPU works, let alone create one because you cant even understand a fucking clock. people who are actually interested in engineering and curious about the world want to know about this stuff because its interesting and often leads to new ideas. thats fine though, because the latest american idol episode is much more important then this stupid bullshit.

  • lol Hows does porn works XXdd

  • Martial Brain, lol

  • woooo!

    i'm the 18,000th viewer!

  • This answers so many of my questions about clocks.

  • i still dont know how it works lol

  • ahahaha

  • @tHatguy23454 Don't ask how porn works, just be thankful it does. :-)~

  • Lol, i'm looking for how immature pubessant sex deprived 12 year old's minds work

  • Oooh! Michael Jackson is interested, too!

  • lol im watching this because i have to write an essay on clocks

  • roflcopters

  • What kind of clock is that in the very beginning?

  • It is a battery operarted anniversary clock. They are quite inexpensive and available many places

  • nice should of explained how the hands work

  • The minute hand (long one) rotates once per hour and the hour hand (short one) rotates 1/12 of the distance because there is an intermediate wheel that allows for the reduction. The hands are on two different shafts.

  • haha... shafts...

  • Its so appitizeing!

  • Bad explanation. Without "pengelon" the clock would go very fast, so it's a limiter. Should've mentioned since making the vid.

  • its a pendulum not a pengelon

  • but if it went to fast, how would it be able to tell time

  • That's what pengelons are for - to make clock tell time instead of just spinning the hour arrow a few times around.

  • there is a flaw in that clock design a better clock is that which uses perpetual motion to run. It's been done and ran now for 3 years without being touched only on little gears and a ball spinning around.

  • very nice, there is another fine collection,

    look here

    Antique Pocket Watches Museum Eutin

  • Cool!
